I am going to buy literally everything on ali that could be considered a sex toy and will report back in a year if I get cancer
>>106522885>how do you avoid the "buy cheap, buy twice" thing?chinkshitting is a skill, just like any other thing that you can learn. The tricks of the trade are many, but the biggest takeaway that I think too few people understand is that the chinese are the ultimate libertarians. They will sell you what you ask for. That means if you look for the absolute lowest priced item of a category, and filter by price, they'll give you exactly what you asked for: An item that was engineered to perfect to be cheap to manufacture. You can go on temu and find a tent for 20€. It will suck ass in any way you can think of: Too heavy, no breathability, cheap stakes, hard to assemble, but by god, it'll be cheap. If you just need something to have over your head for that one festival that's not during peak summer and you'll likely not use it ever again so it won't matter if a drunk guy falls on it and it breaks, that's a great deal. If you want a hiking tent - it's not.If you go and instead of asking for the cheapest possible tent, you ask for a upper mid market tent with premium features for a fair price, you can find that too. Naturehike makes those for example. You'll get premium features, at mid market prices. But if you don't know what to care for in a tent, you might miss it.A lot of the "chinese stuff is low quality" view (prejudice) in my opinion, comes from westerners going for the absolute cheapest they can find an item and then being surprised if it's shit. In the west, you can often buy the cheapest of an item, because there's a high chance it's "good enough" - it'd be socially unacceptable to sell something that barely fits the criteria. In china, the safety inhibitors are off so to speak, you're expected to be an adult and to know what you're asking for.TL;DR: Don't go for the absolute cheapest shit and you'll get great quality.

>>106524165Then I suppose you're missing out on trials from now on. Which is to say you're missing out on nothing, because trials suck ass. It's like 1-2 items somewhat worth having with 5 billion applicants and 18 items that are worse than trash.

>>106522940Why are you guys not moving to something based on Fedora or Arch like all the recent Linux newcomers are? Ubuntu hasn't been a good desktop Linux distro in years. And you're much better off using KDE or even plain GNOME than Cinnamon, as these are the only 2 DEs that are not being worked on by indie hobbyists and are being used by the overwhelming majority of users. In any case, you could just install Ubuntu Cinnamon edition if you really want the Cinnamon DE. The only thing you'd have to do post-install to make it like Mint is uninstalling snapd and installing flatpak. And the benefit of going with Ubuntu over Mint is that you're not locked into using an LTS release. You can (and should) install 25.04 and get all your driver updates and system updates much faster. As in, every 6 months instead of every 2 years. LTS distros aren't really good outside of servers or a very niche group of people who prefer not getting feature updates.https://ubuntu.com/desktop/flavors
