Because for some reason you have a very large segment of the customer base whose cognitive abilities have atrophied so much that waiting for a minute on game startup (anytime shaders need recompiling after an update) is completely intolerable and will throw a financially-significant-to-business hissy fit. So they defer the shader compilation into gameplay. Eventually it gets done but it does take time and it will affect performance for the entire period.

Nvidia, Intel are both rolling out methods to just get this thing done in the background while on desktop and idle. Personally think this is rather stupid and it should be on the developer (and Valve / other distributor) to coordinate some kind of compiler service that can run in the background after every update is pushed. Why should the video card companies have to do this?
>>
>>108513529
Nvidia and co should just allow PCs to download precompiled shaders for installed games over the air at this point
JIT compilation is such a huge waste of time and energy

in fact it actually it is in your best interest to lower it to around 120-200 nits while keeping the peak highlights to the max for a punchier effect.

Listen, the problem is jeets spamming with AI. Not only Canonical/Ubuntu, but Debian itself is mired in a this sinkhole of constantly enshittifying jeetcode. Ubuntu is like a modern Bronco, it doesn't compare at all to the real thing. Jeets are destroying fucking everything. Idk if you noticed but Jeets at Hindoogle are planning on preventing you from installing from outside the Play Store. There's an ADB workaround planned for now, but I'm afraid this is the law of capitalism in place (Ford v Dodge) where a company must legally enshittify itself for its stockholders. That's also the reason for all the goddamn fucking jeets. They think you need to give them your government ID to make an app. They wanna be Apple. This is all to show you more ads, as if your phones don't have enough. Also it's to annoy and eventually block users who dare do things such as block advertising.

>but gubmint can stop em
They'd also have to get Apple, which they wont, therefore Android can freely copy Apple

Every single game with Denuvo has been bypassed
Bypass is available for all denuvo games on day 0

Irdeto is seething hard and saying more invasive DRM is coming. I'm guessing they will demand kernel level access in later versions of Denuvo.

Will Microsoft allow them that?

This year's Debian Project Leadership election has only ONE candidate and it's a Pajeeta (Sruthi Chandran):
>She is inactive on the mailing lists, and her Salsa profile is private so we can't even see what her coding contributions are.
>She's run for DPL 4 times before; lost each time
>Her entire platform is just about diversity and bitching about cis males
>She intends to formally incorporate Debian in the US, which would force Debian to introduce age verification
Her only claim to fame is organizing DebConf23, an event where a Debian developer literally fucking DIED because basic health & safety measures were not followed.

A much more qualified candidate was hospitalized during the nomination window and couldn't apply in time, yet she has refused to reopen nominations.

Debian is FUCKED unless the Debian developers all vote NOTA (None of the above).

looks like big lab imagen to me, gpt or nano banana. you could probably do it with a local model though, like z-image-turbo. chatgpt didn't want to copy the image exactly, but it's pretty similar. could easily make the lines bolder etc. this one took me 42s to gen, so you could spit out stills pretty fast. comfy is pretty easy to script

cinematic anime illustration, young medieval merchant boy, light brown tousled hair, shoulder length, soft smile, looking over shoulder, three quarter profile, wearing dark green tunic and brown leather vest, soft fabric folds, clean anime character design,

sunlit stone courtyard, medieval european architecture, stone arches and columns, ivy covered walls, stone staircase, potted plants, lush greenery, tree casting dappled sunlight, warm afternoon lighting,

high quality anime film still, studio ghibli inspired, cinematic composition, shallow depth of field, soft atmospheric lighting, global illumination, gentle bloom, natural color palette,

detailed background, soft painterly rendering, anime movie frame, professional animation still, smooth linework, subtle shading, calm peaceful atmosphere,

medium shot, character centered, looking back at viewer, cinematic framing

I have Bitlocker enabled on my PC (Windows 11 Pro) on four SSDs and use Windows Hello to unlock.

Planned to change my mobo so I backed up all my keys and shit.

Unplugged everything, took the mobo out, removed the CPU and RAM and then realized I forgot to flush the TPM before doing this.

Would the TPM still have my bitlocker keys inside that could be used to unlock my data? If so would flashing a BIOS update using the flashback function clear it?

I guess if I'm really concerned I could just disable and then re-enable bitlocker to change all the encryption keys but it's a pain.

As a complete noob, could someone help me learning programming with AI? I have a couple of questions below that I would love for more experienced anons to explain or try to offer guidance when it comes to learning how to learn programming in 2026
Do you think AI is a good tutor when it comes to explaining things?
Should I be using AI without asking it to generate any code for me in the beginning stages, skipping the whole agentic workflows for now and only sticking with concept explanations?
How would you use AI if you were to start over again? (Assuming you have used it and know the possibilities and limitations)

Or do you think someone beginning to learn how to code shouldn't use any sort of AI and only relay on books or something like that?

Thanks for your attention anon!
