This goes for all early adopter technologies. However, this is a case of people desperate to break free from corpo-control, but alas, it is still folly from an end user perspective.
People used to be paid to alpha and beta test products. What a bleeding edge retarded world we live in now.

i would buy the Sailfish phone though if you can install any Linux distro on it, like the Pine Phone but with better hardware

Early 2020s: China enacts laws severely crippling the internet for people unless they show ID

Jul 2025 (Online Safety Act): UK enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show ID; remains in effect despite initial outcry

Dec 2025 (Online Safety Amendment): Australia enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show ID; likely to remain in effect despite current outcry

Apr 2026? (KOSA, made it into the House recently): US enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show their IDs

EU has similar shit on the table iirc, they're the fucking EU they love regulation

This will get worse, and this won't go away, at least not in the way you want it to - it'll be an impossibly difficult sell because "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!" Security theater is notoriously difficult to reverse, just compare flying pre and post 9/11. This'll probably be more of the same. Again, UK already had a petition, the gov there just laughed in everyone's faces. Only way any of this is really "going away" is, like, the internet itself going extinct.

Not just this btw, also got countries banning Chinese social media (which in many cases can ironically be less restrictive), Android banning sideloading, etc.

This won't get kids playing outside again. They'll just watch only the government-OK kid-friendly TV, YouTube Shorts, and AI. Sheeple will still use a heavily policed internet and talk to Amanda the AI HR Lady because "brain need dopamine". China's still full of internet addicts despite having long had one of the world's most censored internets.

I don’t think they can gather enough popular support for this policy after enough boomers die off in about a decade from now. That is unless third world immigration reaches a critical mass and the new citizens just keel over and accept it because they’re used to being curbstomped by totalitarian authority.

It's freetards' fault Linux doesn't have software.

Linux is a nightmare to distribute software for so developers avoid it like the plague.

MacOS has 5% market share and is similar to Linux under the hood yet runs FL Studio, AutoCAD, Office, Photoshop natively.

Freetards, you could have this too if you weren't so stubborn in your retardedness.

Before you start to seethe, Linus Torvalds has the same opinion on this matter.

I literally don't give a single fuck. GNU/Linux just works for me, it gets the job done.
The three times I tried to use Windows I had bad experience. The last one (Windows 8.1) was complete garbage, slow as fuck and bloated to the core. I imagine that Win 10 and 11 must be even worse.

Gaming pc are an insult to turing himself. The internet destroyed society as a whole. Mobile phone should have stayed a job-only appliance. Humans were never meant to communicate with anyone at any time. Pagers with emergency communication functions is where things should have stopped.
That boat has left the station, the train has sailed. We are now forced to see people play games on their phone instead of literally doing anything else like answering your damn questions during job interviews.

>We trained six 1.3-billion parameter models poisoned across three medical domains
For one these are tiny models by today's standards. And the real problem is that academia doesn't know anything about LLMs or transformers. They're basically industry secrets. The "research" academia is putting out today is 2 years out of date. That's why the companies are so incestuous. They get basically nothing out of hiring grads because the actual cutting edge is purely corporate because of the scale of resources needed to train modern LLMs. So yeah, the paper is a joke. Looking at the authors, it's just some NYU graduates in the school of data science doing the actual training. Everyone else is medical doctors apparently. It's just cope because general physicians are being exposed as the retards they are.

>>

Regardless of whether it actually delivers on its promises or not which is a completely different conversation, AI is the first novel technology that is universally and unabashedly recognized by the wider public as well as key industry people to make people’s lives worse and more difficult. Whether that’s through unemployment, surveillance, removal of creativity, uniformly dull outputs, lack of human help or interaction in daily affairs, etc. That’s why so many people despise it.

Its a stark contrast compared to the 20th century where all novel technology was universally heralded by everyone aside from a handful of luddites. It was so positively received because everyone thought tech would make our lives easier and better. The pessimism that permeates through the current social atmosphere makes it impossible to believe that anything might happen which would be to the benefit of the collective public.

>>
>>107545031
Nigger you have access to /g/, but not an online marketplace? You don't have to go to the dark web to sell ur RAM anon.

>>107544577
In my country marketplace is like wall street stock room. The people buying right now has to be speculators. Which means a few people will have a lot of stock. Therefore I certainly would not be holding a lot of RAM towards the end of the RAMpocalypse, as suddenly people will figure out that they need to be selling. Also a lot of people are probably dusting off old RAM to sell right now.

I'm aiming for the start-mid game to sell mine. It's all driven by official vendors though, so you just watch that. Also any kind of disturbance by MOBO manufacturers.

Most stuff is going up in price though because DRAM is fairly universal, so best deals are probably had to other items.
>>
>>107545316
>not an online marketplace?
too annoying, i'd prefere a physical place i could just drop all the stuff at once without getting scammed.
