I'm tired of two-factor authentication being shoved into everything now, it's ridiculous. Why should I have to use my email to activate an account for a service that has nothing online, or at least shouldn't, and won't be using any of my personal information? Why should I use 2FA at all?
It's clear they're just harvesting extra information to sell, since that's all everything does online. I tried looking up more information for evidence on this though, because whenever I bring this up I get almost exclusively redditors with their BUT POOFACTOR AUTHENTICATION IS GOOD FOR YOU YUM YUM YUM PBBBBT I LOVE POOPIE fucking idiots, fucking low IQ vermin. I would pray for the whole downfall of Earth just so that those wall-eyed sycophant cretins would die out but I know they're too moronic to even understand true misery and would likely be ignorant of it even happening. God I wish visiting Reddit gave you aggressive anal cancer. Please lord, Please Jesus Christ. I have never asked anything of you but this.

Please fellow journeymen of /g/, pray as hard as possible with me for this to happen to them.

Anyway, it's clear to me that shit like this will continue to trifle with the quality of the internet because of them eating it all up. You soon won't be able to get online without fully confirming your identity and signing off DNA rights to GayBlackLovers Corp.
>>
>>106518625
I ain't reading all that shit OP. But count yourself lucky for email 2FA. Theres a few online services I'm not even allowed to use because I don't have a cell phone to use for 2FA.
>>
>>106518713
why dont you have a phone?
>>
>>106518713
You don't need a phone for TOTP, desktop password managers like KeePassXC can generate the 6-digit 2FA codes for you.

Total public-key reorganization
https://github.com/reshsix/libmaid/commit/0981f067159c12f60409ec005003e815c4e34b8e

Now RSA is it's own maid_rsa thing instead of a maid_pub
ASN.1, PKCS#1, PKCS#8, SPKI, PEM, are all their own thing instead of maid_serial parts
maid_keygen is now part of maid_rsa, and supports arbitrary exponents
maid sign now take PKCS#1 DER instead of PEM
maid info temporarily removed

Now it's much easier to add asymmetric encryption algorithm
Just a few more things to reach 1.4 beta

I'm going to start using a trip instead of ellenposting by the way

Hmm, it does have a bitmap data type. Assuming an n-pixel monochrome bitmap actually uses 2^n bytes of memory (plus O(1) overhead) maybe I can implement an alternate data stack encoded in bitmap pixels where objects actually use the FUCKING CORRECT AMOUNT OF MEMORY
>nope fuck you bitmaps are write-only no way to test individual pixels

Why is floating taskbar popular nowadays? It takes away the ability to flick the mouse to show the desktop, the menu, click applications easily, and it also wastes vertical space. Do people not care about functionality anymore?
>>
>>106518081
The floating taskbar on Plasma retracts when windows are maximised/come close to the taskbar. So, you're never going to lose real estate over it.

>communism works when there is no scarcity
so only in a fantasy world?

also, FOSS still doesn’t work without hierarchy. a project lead has to set the standard and decide the direction of the software. At best they can trust the discretion of a few close individuals who share an understood common interest for what they believe the project should be. FOSS projects that don’t have this centralization and try to rule by committee just end up spinning in place. successful projects also have a select few primary contributors who do the bulk of the work to the extent that the project could just as well have survived without any of the one off contributions in the first place

CSAR better known as chat control is a new EU law proposing that all websites allowing user uploads implement software so that all videos,URLS,Audio and text is reviwed by an AI before it's even sent with the pourpose of stopping CSAM that will be voted on in September 12th
Similar laws in Switzerland and Ireland worked horrendously bad with the AI having a 90% false flag rate and led to events like a man being jailed for 48 hours for emailing himself naked pictures of his wife who was 4'11 that were flagged by the AI as CSAM
Read about it here

The truly rich just have overseas bank accounts or whatever, they don't need to dodge taxes illegally because they own the government anyway. Crypto helps normal people do digital transactions (because sometimes buying stuff online is the only option) while evading funding state terrorism, or more realistically a lot of small fish dark net drug dealers just spend their earnings by buying stuff with crypto and cash instead of more complex laundering schemes tjat the big fishes would go foe

>After almost five decades on air, the future of satellite TV remains uncertain beyond 2029 with broadcasters reluctant to commit to the platform for longer.

A decision needs to be made within the next two years if satellite TV services from Sky and/or Freesat will continue. That’s because the current fleet of satellites are reaching their end of life dates and any replacement satellite needs to be commissioned at least three years in advance.
