Why did monitor tech get so bad in the past 5 years? I wanted to treat myself and consoom a little and it's just companies selling OLED slop or overpriced IPS. MiniLED are sparse and are all chinkshit and almost as expensive as a decent OLED.

>So it's either, pay $200-$300 for old inferior but functional IPS tech
>$400-$500 for MiniLED and deal with haloing, IPS glow or VA smearing
>$500-$1000 for OLED and deal with burn in, text fringing and flickering

In reality you don't see the blur and the choppier framerates still make the crt worse, there's not enough information

>our eyes can only deteriorate and you're valuing saving what accumulates to basically nothing over your entire life over having a better experience for years
1000% this. You're saving dollars to buy technology that will deteriorate your vision faster. OLED or nothing.

i need help /g/ !
i have calculated my current PC power draw at 100% and it's 560W (monitor included) so i was wondering, what UPS should i take to protect my PC ?
my old one died so i need a new one ASAP but i will upgrade to an RTX 6070 Ti when it will be released (maybe in 2 years).
considering my RTX 3070 eats 240W (it's an OC version) and the RTX 5070 Ti eats 300W (i'm guessing some OC's version take 20W more), that's at least a future power draw of 640W minimum.

so what UPS wattage should i take ?
is 700W too little ?
>>
Thanks to the anon who told me to get a 5060ti at MSRP and overclock it.
Got a stable 15% performance increase with some overclocking&undervolting, and it runs very cool.
>>
>>107601957
arent they measured in VA? like 3000VA meaning anywhere from 1500W (simulated sine wave) to 3000W (sine wave) or something

Its pci database is outdated so it doesn't know what specific card it is.
You'll encounter lots of little issues like that with Mint and its outdated packages. It doesn't usually matter that much but can be annoying.

This is less of an ask for help and more of a vent session, there is no way anyone could help me with this because there is no possible answer. It is a completely fucking nonsensical problem. I am so angry right now.
In my i3 config I have 3 keybinds to different screenshot/recording commands and I am trying to add a 4th. The first 3 all work fine:
bindsym Print
bindsym Shift+Print
bindsym Ctrl+Shift+Print
The new one which will not work for no discernible fucking reason:
bindsym Mod1+Print (left alt)
Different combinations I have tried that DO work:
Mod1+ any key other than Print
Mod4+Print (super)
It is only the key combination that I actually want to use that I CANNOT use because it just DOESN'T FUCKING DO ANYTHING WHEN I PRESS IT I am losing my FUCKING MIND with this RETARD FUCKING OPERATING SYSTEM where nothing FUCKING WORKS
