I know this is mech keyboard general, but as keyboard lovers, what are your guys thoughts on magnetic keyboards? They look like a really interesting technology. Thinking about getting one at least to try out, but they're quite expensive.
>>107640851>a tactile mechanical keyboard>red linearI know tactile is a word in its own right and needn't mean the switches are the 'tactile variety' by what on earth is specially tactile about a mechanical keyboard with linear switches? I fail to see the problem.Windows is closing out this year at less than 70% desktop market share, the lowest on record. The worse Microsoft makes their OS, the more people are going to jump ship.
>>107641134I am still rocking the same old WIndows 10, last updated in in 2019 as i have always done for the past 6 years. i am even making a whole blog on https://desuarchive.org/_/search/boards/g.desu.meta/text/last%20updated%20in%202019/ about it, given that as far back as 2022 i knew that this may be the last OS i will ever had with the last updates and so on. The whole idea of Microsoft to kill/replace Windows with AI Windows or whatever is all good as it makes the cattle suffer. we already have the last needed version of windows and it will be 7 years old in a few dayWe already have Agartha.

I notice sometimes two separate lengthly downloads from different software will complete conveniently at the same time. I don't know how the magic happens, but is it really coincidence or does balancing take place in the network management so they are set to complete around the same time?

If I torrent a bunch of stuff and then extract the zip files, one of the zip files I extract will always extract directly into the desktop instead of the intended destination folder; the destination folder automatically gets created, but none of the files go in there, they just fill up the desktop. It's annoying as hell.Using opensuse tumbleweed, I believe extraction happens through dolphin. What do I do to fix this?

>there are people who still use BIOS over UEFI and turn off secure boot in the year 2025 on this boardWhat the fuck is your problem?UEFI/GPT has been the standard for a decade. UEFI supports larger drives, boots faster because UEFI runs in 32/64-bit mode rather than 16-bit mode, handles initializing multiple hardware devices during boot better than BIOS/MBR, and supports modern hardware better than BIOS/MBR in general. Unless you have an ancient computer, it is almost certainly UEFI/GPT OTB. I can't think of a reason to use BIOS/MBR if your computer supports UEFI/GPT.

>>107639864>Feels like we're in for a rude awakening once there's adults in government again.Stop this nonsense. Haven't you learned anything from the UK and Europe? The US democrats campaigned on the "we're not as evil as this weird fella" and they fucking lost. The UK campaigned on a "eh, we'll see, vague change" campaign then lurched right, every single week in office past the "evil" and "nasty" party that they took over from. The UK's Labour party, campaigned with reason like "the grown up will be back in charge" and Darren Jones, a front bencher in the cabinet and probably likely to be the next PM if people reject Streeting literally said the line on the morning of the election "the adults are back in the room". Stop saying the meme line. They're not grown ups either. They're literally the same group of people beholden to the same people that give them donations, bought and paid for. They go to the same gyms. You'll get a continuity government and you'll like it. They might lurch further right in an attempt to recapture a vote if that fossil with the half moon glasses ever dies and your media will villainise them for it, ready to revolve the door back around again once the financial crash is over because people fall for populism again. There's no adults in modern politics, the only way you'll know that they're not on the take is if the media runs a relentless multi-year smear campaign against them and if "people" start referring to their policies as unworkable, serious and vibes based.

>>107639959>They did so much better before everypne had smartphone cameras and internet.>you now remember Ryan Fogle unshaven wearing a blonde wig and a baseball capMaybe it was always this way, but the nature of media changing was what exposed it.I know we meme on people getting dumber over time and crims are naturally dumb, but in some ways I think part of the reason the agencies appear so incompetent is that the crims are more vigilant, exposed to the most basic of evasion techniques having seen it play out in media constantly.Same with the CCTV angle, mass surveillance means people are more careful, and the agencies probably relied way too heavily on it in the past, newer investigators and operators are now the ones getting dumber over time as they start to rely on these tools instead of learning how to finesse it all.

I had GLM 4.7 write a genre fantasy story and all the protagonists talked like they were in a Marvel movie. The most inane dialogue. I'm hoping more directed prompts don't have this issue.
