>>failed to solve a single real world problem, despite constant claims of AGI in two more weeks saar
it is the first thing i turn to when diagnosing a technical problem or asking a specific question. it hasn't competely replaced google (i still en up googling what it says to double check) but it's now my default where google was my default before. to say that it hasn't solved real world problems is just incorrect. i'd say 65%+ of the time it's just a shorter distance between where i'm at and where i want to be than all previous technologies (google, etc) were.

i am by no means an ai shill. it gets things wrong a lot and will hallucinate and lie to you relatively often. it's upped the price of ram to comedy levels. however, it clearly still has merit. even linus himself wants to encorporate it into kernel code review.

Why would I die for Israel? We have to deal with the terrorists at home that were imported during the illegal mass migration scheme of the previous admin. Hell, they were used to breed the domestic terrorist that are now killing people who dont support the terrorism

I tried to install adguard on my android phone and 4chan ads still show up. Is that normal?
>>
>>107661837
AdGuard does not yet consider hakurei/danbo ads to be "real" ads so neither the extension nor the DNS blocks them. Which is not absurd because in the past middlead has gone back and forth for containing real ads and shitposts and the current ones look a lot like shitposts even though they are paid for and have tracking. Add the custom rule from >>107661758
>! in-house ads
>||us-cdnbo.org
Ironically you're only seeing them because of the boards.4chan.org#@#.middlead exception from Easylist. Which is present for the same reason as above.
If you mean the banners which are definitely not ads at all but if you want to kill those the filter would be ##.bannerCnt
>>
>>107661867
I only use the adguard DNS on android.

>Should I change to Linux?

If you're asking yourself the question, then definitely give it a shot. The nice thing is you can try it before you "buy it." (Wipe your drive) Just spin up a VM or mess around in a livecd.

>If i change, which distribution should i take?

For any newbie, I would recommend Mint or Fedora. If you feel spicy you could try and install arch, but you would probably hate that.

>Is it easy to use it?

If you use your PC as a bootloader for Chrome and Steam, then yes. If you use Photoshop (Adobe is Satan) then no. You will have to unlearn some Windows things, like how you install programs.

CachyOS is pretty good for noobs and power users alike. Bazzite is fine, it's basically idiot-proof because it's an 'immutable' distro, so it won't let you make major changes that will break the system. CachyOS gives you more control, but you might not need that.
>>
>>107661302
I can 2nd using cachy
It's got a lot of stuff preconfigured for gaymen. Proton is already setup.

I haven't used bazzite or whatever it's called but I hear it's gaming focused.

Just remember you can try stuff without switching fully if you want.
You can run a program on your PC called a "VM" which will pretty much run Linux in its own window while you're using Windows.
Just know that Linux run through a window like this will be slower than running it on its own so don't be alarmed if it seems slow.

I tested a few flavors of Linux before settling on cachy.
I've gotten elden ring and monster hunter wilds/world running fine with minimal to no fiddling.

Back up any important files.
If you want to keep your windows, you can have Linux on a separate hard drive as well, then you can boot into windows anytime if you absolutely can't run something on Linux.

Can you get a new-to-you computer that's at least moderately Linux-compatible and distrohop on that?
You should probably try two or three distributions at minimum and you'll probably need to, well, fuck around and find out which one you like the most, or pisses you off the least
t. upgraded from Windows 10 to Debian (not recommended for beginners), bought a new Windows machine that runs 11, runs Macs as his primary machines

It's insane the difference a lightweight mouse and proper low-friction pad makes.
Unfortunately, every mouse I tried had loud clicks that could wake the dead.
Settled on the 59g ROG Strix which has swappable switches, but I haven't bothered yet.
The left click is still louder that I would like.

One downside I didn't see coming was my performance in Overwatch immediately went up to such an extent that it became unplayable after a few matches.
After spectating the first meth chugger, I just sat back in my chair and laughed.

So, what's Microsoft's endgame here? No matter what you think about C/C++ vs Rust, using AI to rewrite what's essentially their entire product line is a fucking insane idea and anyone with half a braincell can see that. >So, what's Microsoft's endgame here?
basically taking people back to the 1970s of time share computing where they, the corporations, own all the software and we pay to access the software over the internet. if they had their way we'd be using dumb terminals that can't be used without the internet.

If every sub is delayed a fixed amount (which typically happens when syncing multiple sources together) you can fix this with subtitleedit for text based subs or via a custom script for image based formats. Not clear from your message what the exact problem is
>>
>>107661725

For cases like this my personal workflow is to manually identify where the discrepancies are and then using a custom script to retime the subtitles after it. You could probably automate the first part if you want to go deep into remux autism

There weren't any missing lines. Right near the end of the movie it cuts to go to commercial break then comes back. After this some lines are repeated. I got the sync to where I think it's good enough. It drifts a little but it's only at the end of the movie.
