I think 4:3 is the display ratio that is easiest to produce. that's why we also have 4^2 : 3^2 (=16:9), and 4^3 : 3^3 (=64:27 aka 21:9).

I didn't, actually. Becuase it was complete dogshit compared to 9x. Still miles better than 8(.1)'s, however.

Windows 8 the bar was literally in hell for anything after because of the mobile first design for a fucking DESKTOP OPERATING SYSTEM.

lol retard i got all of these (minus the CE) for like $20-25 a pop
the 83 plus still goes for that much on ebay, but having no mathprint kinda makes it suck. the 84 is like twice the price for some reason
>>
>>107725310
oh i forgot, you can easily convert an old nspire (the monochrome ones, non-CAS) into an 84+ with the keypad accessory. it's bulky but like $20 cheaper than just getting a used 84

That's nice I suppose. Back when I was doing college math 10+ years ago it was all TI. You could use other stuff, but everything was explained in terms of TI-84 or TI-89 instructions.

>assigning everyone to a cryptographic key would still suck since it will be digital ID
ye ideally it was supposed to be bring your own key. than these centralized exchanges came long in tandem with the destruction of local bitcoins and chip mixers, so, while you can make your own key, getting that key funded is possible but an unknown unknown- some asshole can simply drop some torn in your hotwallet and it'd get blacklisted by above.

These tools still exist and one can use them, but in order to develop them you basically have to enter the Darien gap and prove your worth to the cartel, air gap a second hand lenovo in SEA and rotate through 7 proxies or try to immigrate to the best korea. so its kind been a wtf moment the past 4 years, (well ever sense RSA stopped being a munition its been a shit show) but its been alot of bodies in prison.

hopefully these boomers writing these anti encryption laws wake up and get with the information age. I doubt anyone other than God has the constitution to see everything everyone does and not be so thoroughly disgusted by the ordeal that it becomes cruel and indignant towards humanity and its condition

How can you realistically get hacked from using an outdated OS if you're behind a firewall? All those meme vids of "computer hacked after 10 seconds of connecting XP to the internet" involve turning off he firewall, from what I heard. If the firewall is on what is the realistic attack vector where you get hacked because of an unpatched weakness in the OS? Outdated browser maybe, but that goes for any OS. Is browser security worse on an outdated OS?

what does this actually do?

Drive-by exploits that automatically execute just by you viewing something that loads the components in it. As I'm sure you know: there's much more to the OS than just the GUI. Windows is a sprawling mess of APIs, DLL files, system components, services, exes, registry keys. Some of this has vulnerable code in it. So maybe you end up using the latest browser but because it still talks to some windows DLL that does cryptography it ends up making your SSL vulnerable. Or maybe you open a website and your OS "helpfully" runs an associated program handler for a protocol format that turns out to be vulnerable.

What's so special about Arch? Why does it get memed on so hard? People say it has bleeding edge packages but why is that so important? Is it better for gaming or something? What makes it different from Mint?

The number of packages is misleading when comparing between distros. Many distros split one package into multiple packages, for example one package for the command line tool and one package for the library, one package for the documentation and different packages for different variants of the package. On arch each package usually contains everything the software provides. Some distros also contain a lot of old software that nobody uses while not providing new software that many people want to use. That's why even though debian may have more packages than arch by raw numbers, it actually has less software available.
>>
>>107724765
Last time I checked, they didn't have stellarium, bretty common program you can find even in small distros like void.

>>
>>107724847
I know, they prolly add it recently. Its needless to say that many programs you'll only find in the AUR, for me its just copium to say apt and dnf have less software because they pack things differently.
