Im not American or European though
I spent the entire day searching and it seems in my country they can't really force you to unencrypt your data or charge if you refuse, so thats good, unlike the US where it seems they can jail you indefinitely for refusing (whats even the point of encrypting your shit).
It still sucks, maybe nothing will happen though, but its best to prepare. Lets pray together sirs.

All that ``tweet'' says is they weren't at the time able to remove that stuff from the binary. I don't see how that means they won't make what they are now able to remove for a fee, more permanent in the free version.

that's what i have so far. which cpu would you buy for 1440p gaming? 7800x3d is 470usd, and 9800x3d is 520usd. is it worth saving 50 bucks and getting the older one? I still have to buy a cooler, mobo, psu and a monitor.
other options are the 9600x (250usd) and the 9700x (360usd), but I don't want to upgrade anything in just a few years.
>>
>>108520965
7800x3d is enough but the question is when you plan to upgrade again, the 9800x3d will be relevant for longer

If only a reputable company published something with bitrate instruc-ack!

https://www.hikvision.com/content/dam/hikvision/ca/faq-document/H.2645-&-H.2645-Recommended-Bit-Rate-at-General-Resolutions.pdf

Worked in the security industry for years and this chart is flawless. It just scales and you can use the HEVC bitrates for VP9 or AV1 as VP9 is the same and HEVC is exactly between 20-30% larger than AV1.
Even when I record or stream, using AV1 with a max of 8192 KBpS for 1440p 60fps footage with a VBR target of 5 (out of 7), I get flawless footage without artifacts or crunchiness even in my blacks and reds.

I don’t like splits and so I’m always in fullscreen.

In tmux I have:
alt + n to switch to n window
alt + n/p for next and previous respectively.

Other solution was to rely on monocle mode in my TWM, which I found to be less revealing even without fullscreen. [3] tells me there’s 3 open terminals, but no metadata such as tmux’ window name. I’d rather keep and see all open terminals directly in a single tmux instance in workspace 1. Workspace 2 for browser etc.

Worldcoin (now World) by Sam Altman scans irises/faces via Orb kiosks, pays in WLD crypto.

They extract a unique IrisCode for proof-of-personhood (verifying real humans vs AI/bots). Raw images are deleted after processing; no central storage of biometrics per their claims.

Goal: Build a global human ID layer for AI-era apps (payments, messaging, services) without revealing your data.

It faced bans and forced data deletions in many countries (Kenya, Spain, etc.) over privacy issues. Enrollment slowed; most people forgot.

No evidence of secret misuse. It's just a biometric login for a crypto/AI identity network.

I deeply regret not installing Linux earlier. It really does just make using your computer fun again. The most insane thing about Windows that's been on my mind recently is how Powershell proudly tells you how long it took to load your shell profile which can be SECONDS long. How is this even possible? I'm thinking of that Casey Muratori video where he's complaining just how slow Visual Studio is and showing the email chain of him and a jeet representative at Microsoft saying there's a "cultural disconnect" at work. Indians like >>108520815 will see that their text-based shell prompt takes seconds to load and will go "wow these looks are gorgeous please push saar" it's all so tiresome
