The no-coder makes a genuine point in that there is some "coder gut instinct" that you use with Claude code or other agentic frameworks where you just KNOW is something is going to work or not. Not even by viewing the code itself but just by years of experience with IT systems you can kind of "feel" if the direction it's going in is going to be workable or not.Regular non-IT people don't have this at all. It's the same gibberish to them and essentially fully random and magic if something working comes out of the pipeline at the other side or not.I have no idea how you cultivate this gut feeling in newer generations or how to teach it. But I feel like this will universally resonate with tech workers.
>>107841631lol I asked claude to read some json twice because I was seeing a load error and it started saying “I’ll build a minimal decent json parser” and I was like woah woah woah hold the fuck up. The actual json file it generated just had an extra bracket when I checked it. Noobs are just gonna get absolutely fucked when it goes off the rails.
>>107841631It's called having experience. The "gut sense" is just an architectural sense, over time you learn how to approach problems properly and can detect when someone is going about something the wrong way. There's a reason AI is replacing juniors: a senior programmer can herd AI into doing tasks while having the sense and experience to steer it in the right direction, gathering well made AI output and rejecting and quickly aborting non-starter AI ramblings, so AI likely to make the senior faster at his work and this will only get better as AIs get better; meanwhile a junior will lack that sense and will not be able to supervise an AI agent properly, so not only will AI not make the junior faster but it will also prevent the junior from learning and gaining his own experience.
i think the primary reasons ralph works is:1. the non-determinism of the llms2. whatever parameter tweaking a/b testing is happening when the model is served to you3. whatever a/b test quant gets served to youit's so apparent that sometimes you just get a good roll and some god-tier version of the model shows up instead of the average drooling retard

Why can't you find any good MP3 players today? I hate having to use my phone (which doesn't even have an audio jack) to listen to music.
>>107828651I unironically want devices like OP pic with a modern-day screen but superfluous physical hardware buttons and just a cool "what we thought future tech would look like in the 80s/90s" design. I hate that apple decimated the world with its minimalist designs. I want stuff that looks beautiful and physical and real in and of itself, not just the absence of design to support the "content".
>>107837437There is no point, it's just that my headphone amp is balanced only (I wasn't specifically looking for a balanced amp it just happened to be the one I needed), and so almost all of my cables are balanced.BUT I just found out about EROS Q, this one might be my future dap. Would you live inside Wine Desktop? Would it be insane to turn Wine into a DE for Linux like Windows 3.1 originally was for DOS? I would use the shit out of this.
>>107839840In those cases you would just want to run those on an actual computer running a period correct version of Windows. If you have the kind of money to be buying industrial equipment you are not going to be installing unsupported software on it.

longsoon processors are running a novel architecture that only has a handful of linux distros that support it, so unless you can read chinese i don't really see how you're going to even use it. zhaoxin processors are based on patents VIA stole from intel like thirty years ago and when intel bought them out and shuttered the company five years ago VIA sold their remaining IP to a chinese company. hygon processors are literally zen 2 on a worse process node. same architecture and performance.all three of them are going to have massive backdoors

people are starting to forget that Windows actually was good a long time ago, it has been 13 long years
>>107820326Windows is still good if you're on the correct branch. Objectively a clean install of W10/11 IoT Enterprise LTSC just dwarfs anything linux has to offer. Wanna block defender in gpedit? Sure. Wanna block updates in gpedit? Sure. Even allows removing packages that aren't removable in the non-IoT branch of LTSC. It's pure perfection. Home.
