It's the visuals. Instead of some ambiguous gigantic bar that tells you nothing, you instead see a small triangle that goes from green to yellow to red.
And this is pretty much what's wrong with most, if not all, open-source software: the visuals are dogshit and prevent the software from being adopted by a wider audience.

I was thinking about this for some time, renewable is a joke, nuclear is too expensive, hydro isn't available everywhere and cause problems with downstream countries
Oil and Gas as energy sources are
>Scalable
>Cheap and abundant
>The price of a power station is dirt cheap
>Less variables that can reduce the output
>Tech can be improved to reduce pollution
Other alternatives are just failing to meet one or most of these criteria
The US current attempt to change Venezuela gov is a public declaration that alternatives have mostly failed and at best just reduced the need for gas and oil by small margins

Now you are making solar sound even better. Every home needs to be able to put up enough vertical PV to supply its own power in winter, otherwise it's too cramped.

so what was the logic with focals headbands on the clear? even before the snapping headbands it doesn't seem like the fabric cover was a part they sold and any material was just going to eventually wear out and would of become quite uncomfortable. I always wanted to try a pair and i've started seeing some pop up used with chinkfiman headbands now but that doesn't sound very epic for a $800 cad used headphone
>>
>>107672934
Don't ask the logic behind the ergonomics of any headphone because there's none. Almost feels like they aren't even using the headphones they're making.

>ssl 2 mkii
I don't have any experience with that device but in practical terms I really doubt their driver can be as bad as the one for the Scarlett interfaces. I had a Scarlett 18i8 that I had to abandon due to the extremely shit driver and I went to an Audient Evo 16 which has an entirely stable and reliable driver as far as I can tell. The Evo 16 also needs its own special sauce driver, but like I said, at least that one doesn't cause trouble (and the unit itself has a few extra features).

I can only speak to these 2 devices, I haven't really used any other audio interfaces.
>>
>>107673031
Audient isn't great on drivers either but they work. I'm satisfied enough with mine. If I wasn't I'd be getting the new SSL for the superior design (sadly no on/off button) or a Motu for the slightly better performance.

Can't decide if I want a DUNU Concept R or a Shanling EC Zero T for a portable CD player and also a desktop CD transport. I like the DUNU better but it has no carrying case. The Shanling ring ding has a case but it's either an ugly orange or an ugly off white color. I could also wait for a new meme CD player to get released in the next 3 minutes considering how fast they churn these out.

Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine.

Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?

Third worlders LOVE these streaming sticks

t. mexican, they sell like hot bread because people are both too dumb to use and set up a real computer, and too addicted to the lowest quality slop
>>
>>107670483
>granted i know it's probably a laggy piece of shit filled with spyware
Why do you ask when you know the answer already?
Roku went all in with ads and data-mining.
>>
>>107670483
why would any of that be expensive to begin with? These are insanely overpriced. This is what happens when nobody works in a factory and manufacturing becomes nothing short of magic to retarded zoomers.
>>
>>107671017
A "real computer" is not meant to fulfill the same usecase as a streaming device.
>>
>>107670519
It lets you keep using your smart TV as a smart TV even after your smart TV decides you're not getting any more updates so no more content for you.
Or, let you pick your smart TV UI so you can use the one you're familiar with because computers are hard and you don't want to actually put in a tiny amount of effort to learn a little about what they do and how to do something new, not even so you can navigate both Roku and Firestick menus without getting lost.
They are exactly as user hostile as the TV and the picture quality is probably worse than what you can get out of whatever was built in considering that the TV has wired NIC and this doesn't.

bought an older XP computer cause I wanted an older machine to just own, I like the look of the old computer cases and wanted something that could run some old programs and cd-roms, didn't feel like emulating on my main pc.

anyway my problem is I'm struggling to make out some of these parts, and also what to do in regards of if I need to add anything else to it.

I'm gonna have to post like 5 comments under this with all the screenshots......

looking at other motherboards but yeah my one wont support it.

found this: https://ebay.us/m/wnP1Ow which looks pretty decent and should be a nice upgrade!
>>
>>107673157
Oh ok I misread, yeah that would be a nice with the added bonus of running a lot cooler. But once you reach the core 2 it really does feel like you're using a slow modern PC whereas the P4 you posted in the OP would make for a fun win98/2K dual boot. IMO get keep both machines running as they can do different stuff.
>>
>>107673181
I'll definitely keep both, but I'm just aiming to have a fun retro sort of xp build that can run some games from back then!
