How can AMD make significantly better CPU/GPUs then Intel/Nvidia for so long yet be so strongly dominated in market share?

Wtf are you on about? Ryzen cpus are barely on par with intel cpus and only in games, in productivity tasks intels crushes ryzens. Also intel cpus often go on sales with very good prices, meanwhile x3d gayming garbage is always overpriced and prone to go up in flames.
And Nvidia makes way better GPUs, Radeons are utter trash abandonware compaed to geforce cards, even in games.
You sound as if you have been reading ayymd shill propaganda on /pcbg/. Even redditors on /r/radeon came to terms and admitted that Radeons are garbage at this point.
>>
>>107849080
Well depends where you look
Gaming consoles? None of them use Intel or Nvidia!
Smartphones? None of them use Intel or Nvidia!
Intel has the Pc market because for a long time they made stuff that used less power
But AMD has advantages which is why they have 100% of console market share

Nta. I actually own a pair and both of the sound you hear is from the ear piece vibrating loud enough to hear the audio. Some of the DOES the conducted through your ear but most of it is just the out-out-ear earpiece vibrating. If you plump both of your ears while listening with them the sound quality gets noticably worse. Like a lot worse because it's muffled. Models like mine in pic rel (Shokz OpenRun Pro 2) have tiny speaker grills on them which lead to better sound quality so unless you're trying to swim with them just go for models like this. He's correct in saying the "bone conduction" marketing is kinda misleading

>If you use ear plugs or just shove your fingers over your ears the volume and bass increase significantly

No...they do not. The exact opposite happens. You do not get bone conduction earbuds for bass. That's the one area they're all very bad at, even ones like mine that have have tiny speakers along with vibration.
>>
>>107848202
Dumbass, its pretty obvious when people are wearing earbuds and are on the phone. Especially if the buds are white and ESPECIALLY if you have bone conduction earbuds that wrap around your head

I'm not that anon but he's asking what the point of using bone conduction headphones is if you're just gonna plug stuff into your ears anyway, which is a rather valid question. even if the 'plug your ears' method did work (it doesn't), why not just use traditional iems at that point?

it's actually hilarious how adverse g and ic are to ipads in general. I personally know an extremely talented artist who works for a game studio and works/knows tons of people in the industry. a huge majority of them use an ipad + procreate for at least the beginning stages of their sketches or artwork. they'll obviously do post work with different programs but it says enough that it's a comfortable medium for professionals and will serve the needs of 99% of the people who are not professionals which is essentially everyone on 4chan. you got nigs on IC that spend thousands on xppen gear and can barely draw a box in perspective

not worth optimizing, the only thing worth optimizing is text.
if you care, you could benchmark.
but I think you will be spending 0.00001% of your time on UI input / collision events.
Maybe 0.1-10% on UI rendering depending on how much text you render.
10000hz polling mouse inputs don't send 10000 events, it only does that if you enable raw input, which is usually when the mouse is hidden in 3d games (and even then, the number of events are reduced in something like SDL2 to reduce stutter).
>>

>10000hz polling mouse inputs don't send 10000 events, it only does that if you enable raw input
>(and even then, the number of events are reduced in something like SDL2 to reduce stutter).
But if I make my own GUI toolkit I'm going to deal with raw input and I'm going to need an efficient way to resolve bounding box hits, no?
If the GUI toolking only support click events on widgets, then iterating over all widget target areas might be fine because click events are rare (at worst you'd have 10-20 per seconds if you're really clicking like a maniac), but if it supports hover events on widgets then it's going to have to iterate all the fucking time and at a much larger frequency.

I enjoyed e1, haven't checked out the other two. Do they look like they're off to a good start? I might wait for some reviews to roll in, I don't want to start too many week one
>>
>>107849581
the other two is of lower quality than roll over. The jack of all is your typical "op" mc story, where others don't recognize his true strength, because he does things differently. Gets banished from the hero's party because he is "too weak", then goes solo. Meets up with the red girls, and they carry the newbies down to the 53rd floor of a dungeon in ep02. The MC here seems more adult than in other isekais. I'll be watching it

The confessed one is again, MC is the OP type, but in service of the demon king. The heroes party comes each day, trying to defeat him, but can't. Dude falls in love with the mage, and decides to not kill the party, just delay them. One day he makes a deal that if they leave the girl to him, he will let the party through. They take that deal, he confesses, the girl rejects (because he is in the service of the demon king), but arrives at the conclusion, that if he stops being a demon lord henchmen, then that could work. So he tries to become a normal adventurer to win the girl over. There is also some power struggle between human nations foreshadowed with the demon king gone.

My ranking would be roll over > jack of all > confessed
+1 for yuusha no kuzu. It's like modern day isekai. You have the yakuza type gangs (demon king and their underlings) and the ones who hunt for them (the heroes).

1000 would be the initial capacity, which by default is 0 for my implementation. I didn't copy or follow any stupid text books, a vec is a vec it's pretty simple overall. I don't care if my implementation is slightly slower or whatever, haven't benchmarked it.

i didn't mean the c++ implementation, i meant one in c which is only slightly possible with preprocessor abuse. you have to call the macro to create the function and you can use ## to "inject" like this.

>>107849573
this is not what i mean at all. i mean how do u go about making it generic like the stl, which is only possible because of templates.

return a + b; \

>how do u go about making it generic like the stl
It's just memory, the implementation only needs to know the size of each element. Here is the insert method of my array. As you can see, it just copies bytes around, the array assumes it owns the memory you throw at it. You can initialize a struct on the stack and throw a pointer to it to the array_insert or array_push or whatever function and it just works because there is nothing special about memory.
