good, they shouldn't be playing games and ruining my hobby then, i hope they stop buying games and consoles so we can go back to playing good games.

A macfag giving opinions? Also I knew it, gay for sure. It's not just color reproduction, glossy makes it hard to know how it will actually look on paper.
>>
>>107634859
>Glosst looks way better.
any dark scene and you see your fucking face, any object visible in the reflection is a distraction, glossy can look better in real life, it's incredibly distracting.
Id take a slighly performance hit for not having to care about reflections.
I nearly left a job once because I had to use two glossy monitors, I had to switch to light themes for everything as with my usually dark theme it was like I was looking at a fucking mirror, it's incredibly distracting even if my face is very pretty (according to my mom anyway).
I ended up bringing my own monitors after IT denied my ticket to change them by something else, it was just too impossible to work with.
>>107634877
absolutely this, I've seen normies going batshit crazy because of the glossy monitor... these things should not exist, it's okay for smartphones and tablets, that's it
>>107634899
>Same professionals who used glossy imacs for 2 decades?
I'd rather kill myself than to endure this torture...
also why do you care so much about color acuracy when the only persons on this planet that can watch your content as the gods intended are the american boomers with 100k theater setup? it's worthless, the average person still look at 360/480 pixel vomit on their 1080p and higher monitors so...
>>
>>107634928
You know that there is a lot of different kinds of paper? Most designers used and use macs. That's just true as no designer uses linux..
>>
>>107634960
Most modern designers are shit too, comes with the macfag seal of approval.

But seriously, most professional photographers, graphical designers, and video editors do not like glossy. I searched, and the opinion remains the same. I'm not making shit up and I can understand why even if I'm not one.

I'm a software engineer and glossy is horrible, super distracting, eye tiring, and doesn't even look good in movies or games imo. It looks as if everything is behind a watery glass. The real world is not glossy.

If you prefer it, fine, but for me OLED is glossy and that's a deal breaker. I'm not the only one with this opinion and so mini-led IPS already surpassed OLED in sales.
>>
>>107634498
>is it immune to "burn in" or degraded pixel brightness?

AFAIK, no, you can drive higher brightness that would burn out a normal OLED though.

>>107627882
>just set a black screensaver to kick in after a minute

just do this
just do that
just have this

I just want to use the monitor the same way I would use an LCD

I have an engine written in C but I'm kind of getting bit too old to put so much effort into every single LOC. So I am considering continuing it in Zig, is it viable for gamedev yet? Or is there a better option (that's not C++ or Rust). What's the deal with Odin?

a music player / management library similar to mpd but that could pull a song from multiple source.

so i'd have my playlist as usual, but i could change the source of any song to a better one at anytime without changing the playlist and keeping metadata about where it was obtained from.

ie, i could sync my whole youtube and spotify music playlist, then automaticaly replace the source for the title i already have in flac in my manualy downloaded library.

but i could still see where the original source of the music is (ie it was from my youtube playlist) but see that the new source is a higher quality flac.
