>>107585668Well shit, I didn't think of this at all. I guess I'll just use them as regular headphones if the mics happen to be that worn out. For the price I'm honestly just happy to get something wireless and comfortable desu.>>107586432I plan to use them inside with my laptop and outside on long walks. I have some chi-fi IEMs but they always start hurting my ears after an hour or so. I'll check out the app, thanks.
Does an amp just increase the max possible volume or can it improve things like soundstage
>>107591030if an amp has too high output impedance for your headphones it can cause frequency response change.
>>107588474>Then I have no fucking idea how they manage to make all their headphones so awfully heavy.Big driver magnets, AFAIK.
Do I want a balanced output dac/amp if my headphones support it?

The latter are less likely to care about things like human rights laws, or laws in general. So I trust the former more. I guess for me it's a lesser-of-two-evils question. But yes, excessive data collection by companies or any government is something you should watch out for, no matter which country it is.

Qt has really caught my eye, though I'm only *learning C++*Is Qt worth learning? And is the Qt Creator a good IDE for developing in C++ in general, or do the projects usually orient around Qt and QML because you are using their ide which is for that?
>>107591287>>107590664Literally is.
>>107591284>>107591238Can I ask you why do you want to learn C++ ? Do you have any specific project in mind that requires it ? It's fine if you want to do learn it for fun but not so much if you want to do it hoping that it will magically give you a job

>>1075915253rd edition switched to QT
QtCreator is great, very underrated. You can configure it to work with pretty much any compiler (not sure you can even do that in vscode yet?).Learning the basics of Qt isn't hard, and you should definitely try the signals&slots and try to come up with a GUI program. Once you know how the S&S mechanisms work (it doesn't take long if you know any programming at all), you can decide if you want to pursue it further. QtCreator comes up with a lot of example projects on how to use the GUI libraries, so it's also an excellent learning resource on its own.

>>107590705>The live and neutral pins should get thickerThey do. You're blind. Seek help.
>>107590813I said thicker, not wider. Your momma understands what I mean.
>>107587816Probably to give them a slimmer profile which lowers chance of being knocked out when brushed against, and also makes them more difficult to accidentally tug out of the socket. As partially exposed, live pins are a significant bridging or short circuiting risk. That's also why the contacts on the live pins are only exposed after half way, a safety feature also seen on some of the various EU pins, so if they are partially exposed, there is even less chance of something coming into contact with live current. Belt and braces redundancy.
