Why haven't MS and Google come up with a simple solution like Airdrop to share files with other PC's/Cellphones ? They've had 15 years!

I use KDE and I honestly wish it was better.
It constantly fails to show paired stuff and I usually have to restart it on both devices before sending files. I use it on Windows (desktop + laptop) and android (pixel + chinkheld).
Sometimes I send files to my gf's iPad, but airdrop is obviously much better if you're only using apple shit.

I wish there was a universal airdrop alternative that's pushed by Microsoft and adopted by Google

It's fine. Companies here highly value a degree from this university. Got a good job and I earn way more thanks to my degree.
Fortunately, I'm skilled at what I do because I learnt that shit in my free time.

I am probably one of the biggest Applefags on /g/ and even I can admit that the Air is probably going to be a disaster. Let's talk about this.
>Apple announced a few weeks ago they will be manufacturing every iPhone 17 model in India
>Air is a thin model with presumably a much smaller battery
>Pro model has a screen on the back and a protective cover which can be broken with a butter knife, no kidding
>protective cover can retract upwards revealing the screen if you swipe upwards on the back casing

There are so many points of failure for this phone it's unreal.
>the screen on the back which can easily shatter in your pocket or one bad fall, zero protection because it's next to the camera
>the battery on the air model which is going to suck as is the case with every other thin phone
>the protective cover which can snap off in your pocket
>the back cover which can become unresponsive or register slight gestures such as a rotation in your pocket and retract the cover (potentially snapping it)

What is Apple thinking? I have a 15 Pro Max which is due for a replacement soon and I might just go Android this time around.

Here's a snippet for people who use jellyfin and often need to rename tons of files. This adds the `ep` column to the ls table to build new filenames from
let table = (ls | where name =~ '\.mp4$' | select name | merge ( get name | parse --regex '.*S06E(<?ep>\d{2}).*') )

No, of course not. You may be thinking of premium content or something.
If you open this link on your phone (at home) in the UK then you must have a TV license and not having one is a criminal offence: https://www.ardmediathek.de/live

You can view your hardware by opening Device Manager, it will show the model as well.

I've got an old win7 PC and it suddenly switched off. When I try to boot it I'm hearing 4 bleeps at 2 second intervals and the monitor screen in sleep mode.
It has been going into sleep mode regularly for weeks now upon booting but nothing like this. I can't even get it to boot up.
Any advice how to fix??

My car was stolen, and I have no means of tracking or finding it. Cops where called, but my work stuff was in it, including my laptop. I don't have Google find me on it, the only thing I can think of using is Tailscale. I installed it a while ago for streaming reasons. It's still on the network, but not on. Last time it was on was yesterday, but before it was stolen.

Can I use Tailscale to find my laptop? Geolocate, or find an IP to then trace? I am an idiot, and I'm at my wits end.
