I use Fedora because the last time I used Arch, it fail to update.
I still watch to use Arch with Hyprland deep down, but I also dislike debugging my computer.

Oh fuck off. If I don't notice image retention on my LCD monitor after displaying static HDR content blasting out at 1150 nits for fifteen minutes straight because I decided to cook dinner, then it doesn't fucking exist. Not for that specific panel, at least--my Tab S6 Lite and one particular monitor at my workplace have very obvious image retention, but no other monitor there has anything that's even remotely able to be construed as image retention.
>>
>>107656641
Funny how you moved the goalpost from "LCDs don't get image retention" to "My LCD doesn't get image retention".
You know what doesn't get image retention? OLED. You actually have to burn them in to get such an effect, which is easily avoidable.
You have a false sense of security. Give it 8 years and your LCD will have image retention. It's unavoidable due to changes in resistance over time.

Don't rely on one medium. Have it backed up in multiple. Also writing/printing stuff down and laminating it is also an option. If you want to preserve your stuff for thousands of years - put it in clay tablets, bake them, seal them underground in sealed container

>Our North Star is ‘1 engineer, 1 month, 1 million lines of code.’ To accomplish this previously unimaginable task, we’ve built a powerful code processing infrastructure. Our algorithmic infrastructure creates a scalable graph over source code at scale. Our AI processing infrastructure then enables us to apply AI agents, guided by algorithms, to make code modifications at scale. The core of this infrastructure is already operating at scale on problems such as code understanding.”

Package managers have no software in them. Package managers access software that's either on your system waiting to be installed, or in your distro's repos.

When I did some digging, it was caused by the firmware of the keyboard throwing enumeration loops. I'm pretty sure I'm using generic USB drivers, I also had some drivers though for running the RGB, but it didn't fix the issue until I outright replaced what keyboard/mouse I was using...

Idk where exactly things went wrong or if my cousin messed with it himself much but I just rebuilt the boot record as UEFI and in bios it was set to Legacy so i just changed it to UEFI and it worked

>>
>>107655873
I actually kind of like the glass stuff. I don't like how buttons have less useful area and so iPhones don't get five or six buttons at the bottom of the phone anymore, but the readability hits aren't as bad as I thought because I mostly know what buttons' labels say anyway, so I don't really need to read the button label if there's something gnarly underneath it.
I'm actually coming around to the opinion that Alan Dye's Liquid Glass thing is overhated. It deserves to be hated, but not _quite_ as much as it's hated.

The penguin is really a great metaphor for linux when you think about it

It's a bird but it literally can't fly, it can walk but when it does that it's wobbly and fucking retarded. So to move places fast theres a workaround - you can slide on your belly really fast on ice, woohoo! And get this - you're great underwater!

Meanwhile actual birds just fly and when they need to walk they are well balanced to do that gracefully and NEVER go underwater because its fucking retarded for a bird to do that.
>>
There's a lot of birds that can swim, you need jeet. You'd know if you went outside.
>>
Windows is a good metaphor for microsoft. They can look in and spy on you all they want when you think about it.
>>
Penguins eat mostly fish, sky birds eat bugs, seed, sometimes bread and slop like that.
Least retarded sky birds eat frogs which isn't a very big upgrade, birds that know how to catch fish and can fly do dive underwater by the way, enjoy your bugs and keep fearing the deep, vast ocean full of food that you never wanted anyway, bugged, söy eating jeet.
>>
>>107656205
Thus, MacOS remains the only viable system for a white man who wants to actually get work done.
>>
>>107656158
I've used the Linux operating system for years. I like it. HOWEVER, I must agree with OP: a penguin is stupid. I always thought a raven is more fitting, because it's one of the most intelligent birds. The fuckers make and use tools (crude one, usally sticks, but a tool is a tool) for crissakes!

Oh: and Linus Torvalds is a cunt. 'nuff said.
