What was the greatest graphics card ever? I'm thinking it was the 9800gtx. Having this in '08 was like unlocking every game in existence.
>>107598094I had this bad boy for 7 years, but it was showing its age on 1440p at the end. Still a trooper though.
>>107598030The dual voodoo2 setup I had was pretty damn cool. Also really liked my 8800GTS.Still using my 1080ti. I'll upgrade someday when prices are not retarded.
>>107598030>1080 Ti>Titan X There will never be more iconic cards
>>107598030it's either the 1080ti or 8800gtx
Not the "greatest" but the 750Ti was really unique and awesome for a budget card. They won't ever make something like this anymore. It was cheap, slim, sipped barely any juice (pulled all its power from the slot). Could even run passively cooled if necessary. For the time it really packed a punch for that little energy it sipped. The 750 will always have a place in my heart.
If you are so smart and know so well what users want and need, why don't you band together and create the next big tech company? You can fix all the UI issues that you hate. You can deny AI slop. You can choose not to hire Indians.
>>107602588>If you are so smart and know so well what users want and needThat is still not enough to prevent your company from failing.
Takes money and effort. Which few here have both of.

What's the issue with Rust?So far It has nice modern features like a cleaner syntax, and their memory system seems better than C or C++.Dunno why trannies is a computer science argument, since I don't care about rust developers fetiches.
>>107601238I mean iterate as in refactoring.Rust sucks because it goes against what programming is really like. When you program, you're generally not gonna be able to solve the problems on your first try. Maybe you'll come to find out that the problem is a little different than you thought, or the solution doesn't work as well as you'd expect it to. You simply cannot plan everything ahead of writing code. It's called experience and intuition.I wouldn't prototype my newest game in Rust, but when it comes to writing pretty much any functional software, I rarely have to rewrite anything. The only refactor I do is just clean names up, split functions, move things into modules, etc, all that is easily handled by the IDE.>You simply cannot plan everything ahead of writing code.I can>See also https://loglog.games/blog/leaving-rust-gamedev/#rust-being-great-at-big-refactorings-solves-a-largely-self-inflicted-issues-with-the-borrow-checkerI read this. I rather join the new UNIT3D trackers, these trackers that are mentioned all the time and how many get banned after years of being members is not worth to be an idiot to upload 500 uploads. They are basically making you do slave job for no reward than bans. All UNIT3D has the same content as BHD BTN PTP. Just because it does not say -BHD as group upload does not make it less worthy content. 95% of the time it's only the group tag that differs.Let BHD PTP BTN die a lonly and sad death. Because you will regret every upload, every seeding hour, every interaction with the elite staff on these trackers, once they ban you or lie about why they dissabled you. You will be on redit just like me warning others of the evil and sad and pathetic advent they have for their users. I still have friends there reporting and taking screen shots to prove the nasty of some staff on those trackers. But they won't seed nothing past the H&R mark.Merry Christmas join a UNIT3D tracker and be happier ever after.

>>107604827Its a compromise. You don't want the voltage too high or it becomes excessively dangerous, 400-500v will fuck you up bad, whilst 230v is a lot less deadly. Lower voltages like 120v result in excessive current, or less power.
Why arent you using KDE plasma 6 Arch/Fedora/Kubuntu over windows 11. It just werks.I just use flathub in discover and it just werks.
Used to be that I had to mess a lot with Linux to get a usable system and Windows just worked. Now I have to mess with Chris Titus tool shit and microwin just to carve the trash out of windows and get something banal like a local account. All of that with the chance that a future feature update (which security updates are tied to now) reintroduces all of it or breaks things. On the other end Linux just works, and thanks to proton, dxvk et al. this includes gaming.
