>Can piracy overcome single player anti cheat issues
As long as the game works on Wine/Proton and there is a repack without an anticheat, it will work.
>hell, how feasible is piracy with Linux?
Amazing, and has been for a long time. I've been personally using xatab's repacks since 2016, right until his death. GOG releases and Steam rips will also work.

>Our North Star is ‘1 engineer, 1 month, 1 million lines of code.’ To accomplish this previously unimaginable task, we’ve built a powerful code processing infrastructure. Our algorithmic infrastructure creates a scalable graph over source code at scale. Our AI processing infrastructure then enables us to apply AI agents, guided by algorithms, to make code modifications at scale. The core of this infrastructure is already operating at scale on problems such as code understanding.”

I had a simple perl script once and it was slow at the time because computers were slow back then, so anyway I was like "It's slow but I don't want to rewrite it in C because I'm feeling lazy and it already works perfectly but it's slow" so I used the Perl to C translator that Larry Wall himself had made, and my simple fifteen line Perl script, with mind you zero CPAN bullshit pulled in or any libs, just plain vanilla perl with no additives or thickeners became a 150kb C program. So I was like OH YEAH BITCH? And I compiled it with all my optimization flags turned on for my computer which made a big difference at that time especially seeing how everything was so slow in those days. And I ran it and benchmarked it (in SINGLE USER MODE on the console even so there was as little extra shit happening as possible) and... it was just marginally slower than the Perl version and also it would occasionally just *think* for a long time and totally apparently stop processing data and generating output which I watched with tee. I was like "fuck this shit" and never debugged it and found out what it was but that's my experience with translation and I bet most people don't have much better stories to tell.

Why the fuck did they do this? Just installed nvidia-open and it literally gives me artifacts in almost every game and makes my 3060 spin like crazy. Give me back proprietary nvidia drivers!!!!

It's Linux' fault that novideo is dropping driver updates for 10xx on Windows too?
>>
>>107660349
Why the fuck would you switch models that are still supported on the closed-source driver, to the horribly inferior open-source driver?
While simultaneously instructing end-users to switch to an alternate branch of the closed-source driver for older models?
Just fucking put end-users on the older architectures onto the older driver by default. Linux can enumerate hardware IDs / device names, I assume - yes? The IDs for old Nvidia shit are known, yes? So fucking use that and make it seamless, rather than leaving people up shit creek after what they think might be an innocuous package update deep-sixing their graphical output because - oops; driver no longer compatible.

Arch is retarded.

>a mathematical certainty that another disk will have an URE during rebuild and nuke your data
This is one of the most stupid myths going around in the "storage" community. Do you really think you can't read all the data off a drive without it failing? Like is this what you actually believe, that you cannot read all the data stored on a perfectly functioning HDD? Have you ever tried to do exactly that? Have you ever tried to issue a SMART long self-test, which basically has the drive verify that it can read across its entire capacity?

I've had arrays doing monthly full scans for nearing a decade and the stupid things never fail to read unless the drives are actually bad and dying (if you see this happen, it's time to replace the drive because some more serious failure mode is likely near).

>>107654812
So you just pull out a disk at random, while your computer is turned on and your array is mounted, no less?
>>
>>107654440

That wouldn't work for me, the drives are in sleds. And there isn't enough room on the spine of the sled to put a sticker because of the lever arm. Also the air holes need to be clear.
I once tried to wrap stickers around the lever arms, but they just fell off.

freebsd has jails, which supposedly superior to namespaces. I read about it and used it and it looked less like of an afterthought unlike namespaces. but the latter is battletested (like in every browser) and nobody uses jails in real world.
looking at how bad bhyve's code is in terms of security (they had to bring capsicum for it to not suck) I wouldnt trust jails too much either

The Gtk theme is the default Greybird theme with a few CSS tweaks in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css. WM theme called default-4.6 was preinstalled with Xfce, but I made its PNGs and XPMs into a colors I like.
Icon theme is my own - sort of - it includes only icons I want to replace, then it inherits elementary-xfce theme. The panel is hackerman af. It's the default panel with transparent background, and the panel bg you see is baked into a wallpaper with Gimp.
