yeah most of the big social networks and public discourse website are filled with AI slop
i suspect people will silo into smaller communities with fewer members where you can vet each other or just hang out online with IRL friends
>>
>>108506660
Yes it is. Ask 4chan how many pies in a Raspberry Pi and see what happens.
>>
>>108506766
Go on then PajeetGPT, break down the numbers. You said all those words and didn't even get to the interesting bit yet. How many more robotic cunts like you are out there?
>>
>>108507767
4chan has been mostly bots and non-organic posts for many years, even before AI. /gif/ was found to be at least 42% bot posts and the rest are coordinated by a discord group. /pol/ is almost entirely bot posts or done by JIDF/other government related groups. This is easily verifiable by checking how many posts an ID makes. If the OP makes only 1, it's 100% a bot thread or by JIDF. Here it's mostly bots spamming the same shit 24/7 and of course the rest is a combination of jewtube channel & corporate advertisers. The same applies to /tv/.
>>
>>108507791
> even before AI
It was not really before. Before it went mainstream maybe. But deep learning was BIG in like 2017 already. And I strongly believe governments had this tech for a long time, maybe since 2000's. Because supercomputers existed back then already. Perhaps Russians had it since at least early 2010's.

It was nothing like it is now in terms of scale and quality. But Internet was smaller and tech like that was beyound imagination, so everyone believed it was organic.

> Deferring a function call to a call graph isn't IOC or DI
Deferring a function call to anything external is always IOC, but not always DI. But in case of ECS it's also DI, because dependencies are automagically resolved and passed as parameters (via queries). In Bevy they even have DI singletons, they're called resources here.
>>
>>108507718
I suppose so
But if function A calls function B, or you tell your ECS system to call function B after function A you have the exact same amount of coupling, you have not decoupled anything, you've just added another layer of indirection
>>
I've been stuck on getting perfect L shaped roofs for a while now.
>>
>>108507760
Why not just extrude a roof from each rectangular segment and let them clip through each other?
>>

> But if function A calls function B, or you tell your ECS system to call function B after function A you have the exact same amount of coupling, you have not decoupled anything, you've just added another layer of indirection

It is already decoupling, because sequencing logic stays in separate place and you can manage it there without touching function bodies. You can even have it read from config file if you want. But it goes way beyond this basic level, in Bevy there system sets for example allowing things like this:

https://docs.rs/bevy/latest/bevy/prelude/trait.SystemSet.html

#[derive(SystemSet, ...)]
enum MySet { First, Second }

app.configure_sets(Update, (MySet::First, MySet::Second.after(MySet::First)));

app.add_systems(Update, (
system_a.in_set(MySet::First),
system_b.in_set(MySet::Second),

I didn't know about typecase and friends until you mentioned it. My desire for checking the type is for correctness rather than speed, so I decided to try to manually do it.

You can't actually hear it from more than a couple of feet away. I used to sit about 3m back from my 8 inch monitors and only even knew they hissed because I put my ear right up against them one time for some unrelated reason. Now I have them at my desk right next to me and it's enough that it's annoying, I turn them off whenever I'm doing something that doesn't benefit from good quality audio.

my cheap active speakers have been silent ever since I switched my DAC but I also didn't ramp up the volume too high. The devices itself can cause it, the cabling, some ground loop, the power supply. There is a whole market for all this selling "audiophil" versions of everything which is usually just overpriced snake oil.

> why so many phones anon?
> it all links back to the same person in the end
Only if you assume all evil actors are working together. I assume they are not and that they have completely different attack vectors.

My pirated windows with pirated stuff would not have any IDs, I would not use social media there, it would be rather isolated. So only maybe cloudflare and telecom would know who it likely is. Unless you use VPN purchased for crypto etc, but for me personally this is unreasonable. Then if someone pwns it, they have no clue who the fuck owns it.

Government sees an exemplary citizen that definitely is not asking people on the dark web how to build explosives and such. At least they are not sure who that was, because that particular device only ever contained information about explosives and nothing personal at all. So they would have to check first. You would literally have to break some laws and get caught for them to connect final dots.
But It's NOT like something I recommend for actual criminals. If you do crime, do it properly, do not rely on a chance, bribe law enforcement like everyone does.

Social media and gayming platforms think I am your typical onions boy, they would shill me mechanical keyboards, nintendo switch and newest AAA slop. And not bother me elsewhere with all that.

Work is work, you just keep it separate. If they get pwnd, I don't suffer from it really.

Based. Far-right politicians and *cute* traps should be BEST friends

Yes, I know this is the place where everybody loves to rice and have complete control over their system, but unlike some people who use Linux, I actually have a job and things I need to do.

I have been daily driving Linux, and it is very good, but I was wondering if it is possible to still have a good understanding of Linux systems on what some may call a “normie” distro like Ubuntu. Do I really need to use something like Arch or Gentoo to learn Linux? And if I do use Arch or Gentoo, am I even really learning Linux? It kind of seems I would learn more about the package manager and whatever other stuff it uses instead of actually learning Linux systems.

It's all still GNU/Linux, the biggest differences in user experience come from the Desktop Environment as they come with a different set of applications and tools, some support Wayland by default others are still on X11.
Then there's package managers like apt, the new formats like flatpak and snap, and whether the distro uses systemd.
If you're happy with what you're using just spin up a VM to play around in instead of distrohopping.
>>
>>108502677
There are a million ways to interpret having 'a good understanding of Linux'.
If you want to learn the command line, filesystem, and tools to write software on Linux, you can use whatever. Ubuntu is fine.
If you want to understand how a Linux distro really comes together from a bunch of modules to get a coherent experience running, you can learn a lot from installing and using Arch.

Your choice - I have no interest in the latter. I use Fedora KDE btw
>>
>>108502677
Arch teaches you a lot. I basically own my entire career to it and the time I've "wasted" during my teen years. Even if I mostly use RHEL/Ubuntu at work, the knowledge I've gained from Arch were priceless. Gentoo is also fine from learning, but the time you spend compiling is just not worth it. Also, learning how to configure your own kernel, it's not a valuable skill in the field. Nobody will ask you to do that. Just use Arch/Artix.

I hate the shitty threads you people make.
I want to share what has opened my eyes, for other novices like me, who are trying to leave Winslop 11.

This thread is supposed to put you on the right track to making your own decision,
after reading this thread the fog of Linux won't be there anymore,
you will know what you want and you will find the distro that is suitable for you.

> 1. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1b/Linux_Distribution_Timeline.svg
This old image includes 95% of all Linux distros in existence, study this.

Studying this image alone, is going to help you see through idiotic arguments like "mint is better" or "go with arch" or "go with pop_os" -- most of them have a parent OS.

> 2. Distro arguments are pointless. #1 choice that you must make is what family Linux do you want and pick.
If you studied image above, you will see there distinct few families of Linux, the relevant ones are: Debian, Fedora, Arch.

Most laptops are using proprietary ACPI protocols. You would need to patch the kernel, but since Debian's kernel is very old in comparison to other distributions, this option is out off the table, since I don't want to patch and compile kernel from scratch myself
>>
>>108503889
>>108504060
>>108506306
Getting a modern kernel is as easy as swapping for Liquorix (or Xen depending on the distro, but I've found Liquorix more reliable).
And updated firmware is as easy as
`cd /tmp
git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git
cd linux-firmware/
sudo cp -va * /lib/firmware/`
and then
`sudo update-initramfs -u`

I also use CoreCtrl to manage my 9070XT, so with it I've also replaced my Mesa drivers with an almost up to date version with Ernstp's Mesa Almost-Stable repo;

Good idea, but it's too many words. A general needs to be shortened to single post, composed of only a few small paragraphs or links. You have good info but are ranting and it is overwhelming. I suggest you make something like this:

"In the GNU/Linux world there are three main branches, each with their own package manager and community. They are: Debian (apt), Arch (pacman), and Red Hat (dnf-rpm). Though there are also various and semi-popular independent distros such as Alpine, Nix, and Gentoo."

Some of Debian's popular forks include
>Mint*
>MX Linux
>Pop OS*
>Zorin*
>AntiX

Every single game with Denuvo has been bypassed
Bypass is available for all denuvo games on day 0

Irdeto is seething hard and saying more invasive DRM is coming. I'm guessing they will demand kernel level access in later versions of Denuvo.

Nigger you post this retarded fucking shit in every single thread. How hard is it to comprehend that people don't want to PAY for a game with DRM that supposedly affects performance injected into it. On principle.
Why on earth would anyone ever then refuse to play the same game if they could get it for free, especially if it's a pirated copy that was never paid for by anyone? It's a performance hit, not pop-up ads mid-gameplay, the game is still the same.
>>
>>108506729

Jesus fucking christ you cocksucker.
There's a difference between "caring about" a performance tax and straight up being unable to play because of it. Someone who hates getting fucked over despite being a paying customer but can still run the game (although poorly) will just refuse to pay for it and use HV instead. Someone who can't run the game because of the alleged performance tax will not use HV anyway because they can't run the fucking game.

Even if, hypothetically, Irdeto could log every single HV bypass user, they would have ABSOLUTELY no way of knowing what percentage of that group specifically complained about being unable to run the game because of denuvo despite that not being true. As opposed to people who just want games for free regardless of denuvo or people who complain because they don't like being affected by DRM in any way despite paying for the game. And even if they did, it would be a very small percentage.

You are making absolutely no sense, and no doubt I've just wasted time explaining the obvious to a brick wall.
