What are /g/ approved drawing tablet brands? Jewcom is overpriced, and Xencelabs is trying to be Jewcom v2.0. What do you think about XP-Pen and Huion?

This board's image gen generals exist in a bubble.
Go around literally any board except /g/, 99% of images posted are drawn, not generated.
Go to Twitter, most art posted is not generated. People are going through extreme hoops in boorus and pixiv to filter AI, nobody is asking for it, it's generated into the void.
AI art has kinda stagnated mid-2024, like a solution to a problem that does not exist.

Don't ask /g/, they don't draw and is obsessed with AI. I don't own a screen tablet, maybe in the future. I heard that you have to deal stuff with parallax and calibration when owning one.

Just a FYI, Xencelabs is owned by XP-Pen. Both XP-Pen and Huion can be hit or miss in terms of build quality such as wobble, pointer lag etc. My main gripe with them is that their IAF can be too high (the pressure needed for the pen to register). Wacom have really low IAF like 1g? Which really makes a difference when I'm doing light sketching, it doesn't bother some people though. I think Huion is catching up with 2g IAF pen tech but that's only compatible for screen tablets iirc.

If you're still unsure, check this guy out, he recommends CTL 672 or Frego M if you're choosing your first pen tablet and there's other info on screen tablets.

Good luck, OP.

The problem is no one wants to pay artists a premium to make shitty art.
>>
>>106495329
that shit is integrated into photoshop already, and IMO its most common use is enhancement , not complete generation, I honestly doubt that drawfags will last long if they aren't already outnumbered already.

That one is terrible. The lambdas wont be byte compiled (and therefore also wont be native compiled). Just using backquote is the best way to do it. If it is really offensive to you you could do something like

(cl-macrolet ((make-alist (&rest pairs)
(cl-loop for (a b) on pairs by #'cddr
collect `(cons ,a ,b) into form
finally return (cons 'list form))))
(make-alist
(rx "example") (lambda (line) line)
(rx line-start "foo") (lambda (line) line)))

How do these things even work? Is there a small invisible fan hidden inside?

I own a dyson tower fan like that. Bought one very early on and it's still going. The fan is in the base which is why there's vent holes down there. It sucks air in at the base, pushes it out through the top fins.
>>106493661
> It also sounds extremely innefective over a regular desk fan
Define a desk fan. It works very well. I usually keep it at 1-4 speed which is good enough. 10 speed is basically a jet engine next to you. Sometimes when I want to dry my hair quickly i'll throw it up to 7-8 and it's basically like a cold hair dryer.
My only complaint is it's quite easy to kick over. I'm surprised mine still works ass I've punted that sucker multiple times down during the night and shit.
>>
>>106490165
Do you know how air multiplication works?
>>
>>106490165
Bernouli's principle

Get a large thin supermarket plastic bag, seal it around your mouth, blow. See how little it inflates. Hold the bag about 10cm away from your mouth and gentle blow into it, see how much easier it is to inflate.

A regular fan behaves like the former, the Dyson like the latter. It moves a larger volume of air for its size than a regular fan.
>>
>>106493819
>>106495277
This is your brain on UM ACKSHEWALLY reddit
The dyson fans have been objectively measured by numerous third parties. CFM does not increase over other fans, in fact they are often worse to a small degree, undoubtedly from losses in rerouting the airflow before it actually exits the fins.
Theory is meaningless when it fails to conform to reality, because this fan is not making use of bernouli's principle at all, no more so than literally any other fan. You're both huge gay retards.

this thread seemed just the blind leading the blind until this anon who gens

if you want to do lewd or really anything interesting doing it locally is the answer. I started a month ago and yes it is a steep learning curve but most of you here are smart enough to understand it if you are genuinely interested. A few tips:

the generated images contain the workflow metadata (except 4chan strips it) so ask anons for the actual gen and some will share it. initially their workflows will look very complex, I still don't understand lots of if. But yes you can use loras to add details or concepts you like, you can make your own, you can add additional detail passes to remove bad eyes or fingers, you can make it look insanely detailed, etc. You can generate video, you can generate music, you can generate speech and lip synch the video. It's insane. Now yes a good video card will help but there are special workflows for poorfags with cheap gpus. go and lurk in the stable diffusion threads and look at the sticky.

Same behaviour as chatgpt and other “corpo” models. It always starts spitting out a response and then the filter deletes it. I just don’t understand why it’s so unpolished and they don’t just pre-screen before it sends you the response. Is it vibe coding or pajeets or what?

Not OP but I use Linux because Wingblows 8 absolutely mindfucked me with how much of a piece of shit that was. If Win7 was still getting significant updates I'd probably still be using that.
But since I've gotten comfy with the penguin and since I despise Bill Gates I see no reason to leave now.

When someone publishes a tracklist for a show or set or whatever, and they don't want to or can't put down the name of the producer or track name, they use "ID" instead. Sometimes a track is a WIP or it's not formally released, so they can't put the real names down.

Could be a WIP from the DJ playing the set, or something a friend gave them to play to gauge reaction, etc...

I've been using it for a while and noticed that its performance is worse than CloudFlare's or any other major DNS provider's. I set it up to use DoH + Anonymous DNS relays and narrowed down the list to servers that are close to my location. However, sometimes it takes seconds to resolve a domain, sometimes it fails. And I have to emphasize "sometimes" because most of the time (like 99% of cases) it's fine, but it's noticeable because Google/Quad/CloudFlare is much better.

Is it supposed to be like that or I'm using it wrong?
