Asking again because the last thread died.Is there any portable player that will allow me to connect with a subsonic/navidrome server that doesn't run android? Everything just seems to be either the most barebone OS ever made or just a fucking phone.
The “KB EAR” Coffee eartips have been generating a fair bit of buzz among reviewers lately, so I decided to purchase a set and see what all the fuss was about. Interestingly, these eartips don’t seem to feature in KB EAR’s main product catalogue, which leads me to believe they are sold under consignment. Now, let’s address the elephant in the room: are these eartips worth your time and money? From my perspective, the answer is a resounding no! Their performance is mediocre at best, and here is why. My initial impression was how congested the upper frequencies sounded, despite the fact that these eartips have a wide bore. Typically, wide-bore eartips, such as KB EAR’s own TRI Clarions, tend to accentuate the treble, lending a sparkle and liveliness to the overall presentation. In this instance, however, the Coffee eartips sounded as if the upper frequencies were struggling to break free. The soundstage is surprisingly narrow as well, which is rather disappointing. Vocal presence is acceptable, but due to the aforementioned treble congestion, female voices can sound somewhat nasal. The bass is rather weak, too. There is a hint of mid-bass bloat, which adds a bit of body, but there is no real definition or texture. The sub-bass also sounds dispersed, rather than delivering a straight, deep dive.On a more positive note, these eartips are indeed comfortable for extended listening sessions, as one of the reviewers highlighted. They certainly live up to that claim. Personally, I would not recommend the KB EAR Coffee Soft Silicone Eartips. While they are undoubtedly comfortable, they ultimately degrade the sound performance of your IEMs. In my opinion, the sonic compromises outweigh the comfort benefits, making these eartips a less-than-ideal choice for discerning audiophiles. There are far better options available on the market that offer both comfort and superior sound quality.Purchase from KB EAR AliExpress Official Store

>>106498436>It took me years to realize the "tint" knob wasn't useless.hehin my case it was an OSD sliderwe didn't have any NTSC channels, but i was fascinated with the fact that if you tune in to certain frequencies of static, the "tint" setting would randomly appear for a split second. i knew it had to do with NTSC, because our previous TV without OSD had an LED indicator panel that would show whether you're watching SECAM, PAL or NTSC and i enjoyed trying to get the mysterious NTSC to light up. for a while, domestic channels would be in SECAM while foreign ones were PAL. the switchover to PAL was kinda cool to witness, not because i could tell the difference, but because the LED indicator could. yes, i was, and still am, somewhat of an aspie.

Theoretically, can you completely de-India your computer by only using software without any Indian commits? Linus removed all Russian code from the Linux kernel, so something like this is certainly doable. What's a good base to start with for building a non-Indian OS under a free licence? Arch?
