It worked well in my dancase builds I had zero issues with any type of bsod issues, and once you crank up that fan curve it cooled things very well. It may have also helped that I repasted it with kryonaut and did the washer mod. 6 years down the line it still runs great as a htpc and emulator/light gaming pc.

This is not a drill, it's finally confirmed that China has a working EUV prototype since early 2025, it's just undergoing testing and verification right now, expected to enter large scale production by 2028-2030. >In a high-security Shenzhen laboratory, Chinese scientists have built what Washington has spent years trying to prevent: a prototype of a machine capable of producing the cutting-edge semiconductor chips that power artificial intelligence, smartphones and weapons central to Western military dominance, Reuters has learned. Completed in early 2025 and now undergoing testing, the prototype fills nearly an entire factory floor.>The availability of parts from older ASML machines on secondary markets has allowed China to build a domestic prototype, with the government setting a goal of producing working chips on the prototype by 2028, according to the two people. But those close to the project say a more realistic target is 2030, which is still years earlier than the decade that analysts believed it would take China to match the West on chips.>The breakthrough marks the culmination of a six-year government initiative to achieve semiconductor self-sufficiency, one of President Xi Jinping's highest priorities. While China's semiconductor goals have been public, the Shenzhen EUV project has been conducted in secret, according to the people.https://www.reuters.com/world/china/how-china-built-its-manhattan-project-rival-west-ai-chips-2025-12-17/

Is vim actually beneficial for programming or is it just one of those things autists keep promoting just to be different just like they do with linux?
>>107593661Vim allows you a very streamlined workflow without ever taking your hands of the keyboard, if you learn it right. But before you learn all the things you want to do in finger muscle memory it's not intuitive and learning curve is steep. And it's very customizable, or so I've hear, but again not very intuitively. If you're working in a Linux environment you probably should get acquainted with Vim on at least a very basic level because it's the default terminal based text editor on many systems.
>>107593661>like LinuxYes, it's as useful as LinuxSo verypeople don't talk about it to feel 1337, but because it's actually usefulif you don't understand Linux it's your IQ problem
Why is almost all useful software written in supposed midwit languages like C, C++, Java, JS, Python, Go etc. while “I am very smart look at me” languages like Haskell, Clojure, Lisp, Rust, ML etc. usually have a single example of real world success, if that? Are functional languages a psyop to keep White men from building things?
>>107594542You get useful software as a side effect of building any software. There's tons and heaps of midwit software next to the useful software.

>>107593898It's mostly being worked on by Hyperbolahttps://wiki.hyperbola.info/doku.php?id=en:system:display_servers:xenocaraDo note that like the doas port for Linux it's missing some things. Since a lot of the security focused portions of OpenBSD's kernel have not been ported over to the Linux kernel. Every time progress gets made towards improving Linux in this respect another 9,000 new things from freedeskopt/systemd/IBM come that need to be hacked around and progress seems to stagnate again for awhile. There is also a lot of good stuff happening in the Xlibre fork when I've checked in. Subscribing to the mailing list is a good idea for anyone interested in keeping up with Xorg improvements since nothing will ever come out of freedesktop's in the future.
