>Who cares about JavaScript? Literally all we need is the ability to load static websites.
Yeah, who could possibly care about the thing which makes practically all websites function? I get being an autist with niche interests, but fuck me, you people sure love acting like nobody else exists outside of your own autistic head.

You don't need a special snowflake browser to turn JavaScript off. But I get the feeling you don't actually do that anyway.
>>
>>107727748
Lmao, for real? Your job requires you to waste time responding to autists with self inflicted problems? And not just "hi, we don't support that browser, sorry, bye", actually looking into the problem? Wow.

If by "hardware ban" you mean something blocking your device's MAC, then you can use macchanger or just change it manually with ifconfig

I'm actually fucking pissed off how little power you have over the user experience. This shitty website knows how much people depend on its content and it does everything in its control to keep people from becoming advanced power users. It sucks how everyone is stuck with an overly simplified design and overly personalized algorithms.

On Debian 12 it did not crash at all, on Debian 13 it has so far not crashed at all. I didn't get accurate performance measurements with and without because in my opinion Gnome is fairly unusable without dash-to-panel, so I didn't even try.

I did enable multimedia codecs during installation. I checked to see if I had mint-meta-codecs and I did. I'm gonna give up and say its probably an issue with my CPU not being able to handle these high bitrate videos. The videos only played smoothly in mpv with my laptop plugged in. VLC refused to play the video, only displaying a black screen, though the audio was playing. Though I could've sworn that Fedora was able to play the video in VLC without needing to be plugged in...I'll check. I appreciate you even taking the time to help.

Hey anon just wanted to say thanks for that guy's tool that is one of the best utilities I've seen in a long time. There are a couple of drivers that are kinda stuck in a "can't install" loop, but I was able to update 99% of them and all my peripherals are working way better than before, especially the media center keyboard we use when we switch the pc input over to the tv in the living room.

Hey guys I'm in a bit of a pickle and looking for some advice.

For at least a decade Honeyview has been my goto for images, until just recently when I started saving images in HEIC format. I did all the research, ran my own comparisons from shooting in RAW and checking JPEG vs HEIC and it's true, it just is the superior evolution of the lossy compression format.

So honeyview has apparently turned into paid scamware if you want HEIC support and there's allegedly privacy concerns and whatnot. I saw there's qView but my muscle memory is so ingrained with honeyview I honestly hate how little QOL features it has and lack of shortcuts.

Is there a true FOSS successor to honeyview? Should I just suck it up and learn qView?

Adobe Illustrator CS (the original.)

I had a copy of Illustrator 8 which worked fine on my old Macs, but I just bought my first OSX machine and it was a little buggy there. Bought the student edition of Illustrator then proceeded to use it for well over a decade until I did a major system update and it no longer supported PPC applications.
I've since switched over to Inkscape. Though I feel like I operate less efficiently, and can only do maybe 80% of what I used to do in Illustrator.

At this point, I wont even use any desktop environment on linux if it isn't X11. Even XFCE is dead to me because it has wayland support. I will never support anything wayland based on linux.
I'm X11 pilled.

KDE Plasma and GNOME under Wayland support:
HDR
Multi-display VRR
Proper mixed-refresh rate displays
Fractional scaling
There are no X11 DE/WMs with those features.
There are at least 2 Wayland DE/WMs with those features.

Using X11 for GNOME / KDE Plasma means the below features do not work:
HDR
Multi-display VRR
Proper mixed-refresh rate displays
Fractional scaling

if you see dark spots between colors in that post you replied to, it could just be that i was picking up the black background when i blended. i will admit there is a bug you can see here >>107729949 where the "first" click of the tool puts down a dark spot, im not sure why this is happening exactly, but i havent fixed it. however if i burn a click on an empty part of the canvas, then i dont get that dark spot at all and it works as you would expect
