Both in math and CS, functions are regularly called O(g) for some much faster growing g. That is, in fact, the whole point of big O, to be able to do that and simplify things in such a way, without keeping track of every precise function.

HD 800 is a lot more money but it has a metal headband and obviously replaceable padding. Ironically a lot of 1k+ headphones have/had qc/design flaws but the hd 800 is still one of if not the most solid. Regardless any of those will do what you want and should last forever unless you try and break them like a monkey
