The best and brightest C programmers agree: Rust belongs in the Linux kernel!
https://lwn.net/Articles/1049831/
This board tries it's best to portray C and Rust as polar opposites, but in the end they serve the same purpose. Good C programmers have always respected Rust programmers and vice versa. Only the fizzbuzzers and jeets want a language war between C and Rust.

Why do they want it? Because if you split the systems language ecosystem, there will be less competition to their electron/react garbage (see Windows 11 start menu)
Everyone except Indians agrees that anything written in Rust or C is much better than electron garbage. That is why it is important to be friends and allies, not enemies

>The best and brightest C programmers agree
who?
I'd say 90% of devs who contribute linux are either dogshit at their job or interns so not the best C devs at all.
I don't undertstand why people think linux is some incredibly complexe software, it's not, a first-year cs student can do meaningful contributions, most features/refactors/drivers are very tiny code-wise and can have great impact.
>Only the fizzbuzzers and jeets want a language war between C and Rust.
having multiple languages codebase is ALWAYS, NO EXCEPTION a bad idea.
>Everyone except Indians agrees that anything written in Rust or C is much better than electron garbage.
indians use C, a lot. 90% of my job these last 5 months have been to rewrite everything they deliver because it's hot garbage, the language does not matter with them, they will write dogshit code no matter what, being a thirdy is first and foremost a dna thing, there is not much they can do about htier inferior genes.
>That is why it is important to be friends and allies, not enemies
say that to rustroons, they're the hostile ones and why everyone hates them.
reminder that rust is barely visible in the programming language pie usage, no one uses it and yet they have the most obnoxious and aggressive community, they don't matter, even if linux is rewritten in rust, it would still amount to barely 0.1% of the code in the wild.
rust is NOT at the same table as C and C++ which both combined have more LOC written than every other language ever created combined.
C and C++ are here to stay and will outlive everyone alive today and every toy language released by mentality porn addicts (troons)

Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.

Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.

Which flavor to install? I want to give it shot as a desktop OS running on old laptop.
>>
>>107551510
>laptop
As a rule of thumb, install OpenBSD. If it doesn't meet your expectations, consider NetBSD or FreeBSD; the former is a last resort, depending on your laptop's architecture. The latter no longer supports i686.
I run Free on my laptop for ZFS. Battery life is better on Open. Both are easier to use than Net.

I updooted my system from LTSB to LTSC 2021, and it says Enterprise LTSC. So it's the non-IoT version.
Is there a difference between this version and IoT in practice?

>Is there a difference between this version and IoT in practice?
Non-IoT LTSC security updates ends in 2027
IoT LTSC security updates ends in 2032

Simplest and best way to switch to IoT LTSC is to use MAS to activate your install with HWID
HWID is the best activation method and since it's only available on IoT, MAS will automatically convert your install to IoT at the same time
