is gasket bounciness actually something I should give a shit about? I can spend like $60 to "upgrade" my board to make the gasket mounting a lot more flexible, but I have no frame of reference to tell if it's worth it

MX Blacks are trash that's why
gotta do the switch of Theseus mod by replacing everything inside it first
>>
>>108507649
it varies based on the type of gasket but ultimately doesn’t matter that much. you’ll probably get more mileage out of doing a solder plateless build if flex is your goal
>>
>>108507649
should probably watch some reviews about the keyboard or something
not all keyboards with gasket mounting are as flexible as the marketing suggests
I have multiple keyboards that have gasket mounting but only one of them has that unique feeling of typing on clouds (my keychron q1 v2)

There is one already. And it's by design. It is pure coincidence that you can technically spam new IDs until hash collision happens. Who could've known that?
>>
>>108507196
Afaik in android they use completely retarded access permissions. So every app that ever asked you to pick a file from local FS potentially got your passwords and sent it to a remote server for marketing peoeple to see.
Right now roasties are laughting at you while checking out your private photos online etc.

> why so many phones anon?
> it all links back to the same person in the end
Only if you assume all evil actors are working together. I assume they are not and that they have completely different attack vectors.

My pirated windows with pirated stuff would not have any IDs, I would not use social media there, it would be rather isolated. So only maybe cloudflare and telecom would know who it likely is. Unless you use VPN purchased for crypto etc, but for me personally this is unreasonable. Then if someone pwns it, they have no clue who the fuck owns it.

Government sees an exemplary citizen that definitely is not asking people on the dark web how to build explosives and such. At least they are not sure who that was, because that particular device only ever contained information about explosives and nothing personal at all. So they would have to check first. You would literally have to break some laws and get caught for them to connect final dots.
But It's NOT like something I recommend for actual criminals. If you do crime, do it properly, do not rely on a chance, bribe law enforcement like everyone does.

Social media and gayming platforms think I am your typical onions boy, they would shill me mechanical keyboards, nintendo switch and newest AAA slop. And not bother me elsewhere with all that.

Work is work, you just keep it separate. If they get pwnd, I don't suffer from it really.

Same. I have a stuffed twingo from the first run still.

Yes, I know this is the place where everybody loves to rice and have complete control over their system, but unlike some people who use Linux, I actually have a job and things I need to do.

I have been daily driving Linux, and it is very good, but I was wondering if it is possible to still have a good understanding of Linux systems on what some may call a “normie” distro like Ubuntu. Do I really need to use something like Arch or Gentoo to learn Linux? And if I do use Arch or Gentoo, am I even really learning Linux? It kind of seems I would learn more about the package manager and whatever other stuff it uses instead of actually learning Linux systems.

>>
>>108502677
Learn Linux? No, you probably won't touch the kernel.
Learn GNU/Systemd/Linux? Then yes, you will learn a lot regardless of how you install your distro. The only difference is some stuff might already be already streamlined if its common or you might have to deal with changing or uninstalling annoying defaults if it's something uncommon or abtuse.
The advantage of "hard" distros is to make your computer behave exactly as you want or just to explicitly see what is being installed/setup. If you pick all default options or don't know what things mean then you should just use an "easy" distro.
If you just want to feel superior just join the "I actually do work on my machine" crowd.
>>
God I hate these linux newfags
The distros are ALL the same, its the same fucking thing. It doesn't fucking matter, pick one with a cool logo

It's all still GNU/Linux, the biggest differences in user experience come from the Desktop Environment as they come with a different set of applications and tools, some support Wayland by default others are still on X11.
Then there's package managers like apt, the new formats like flatpak and snap, and whether the distro uses systemd.
If you're happy with what you're using just spin up a VM to play around in instead of distrohopping.
>>
>>108502677
There are a million ways to interpret having 'a good understanding of Linux'.
If you want to learn the command line, filesystem, and tools to write software on Linux, you can use whatever. Ubuntu is fine.
If you want to understand how a Linux distro really comes together from a bunch of modules to get a coherent experience running, you can learn a lot from installing and using Arch.

Your choice - I have no interest in the latter. I use Fedora KDE btw
>>
>>108502677
Arch teaches you a lot. I basically own my entire career to it and the time I've "wasted" during my teen years. Even if I mostly use RHEL/Ubuntu at work, the knowledge I've gained from Arch were priceless. Gentoo is also fine from learning, but the time you spend compiling is just not worth it. Also, learning how to configure your own kernel, it's not a valuable skill in the field. Nobody will ask you to do that. Just use Arch/Artix.

Depends on who your ISP is and where you live.
When I had spectrum those nigger faggots were all over me for torrenting anything.
Att doesn't care as much and it seems the only torrents that got me dinged for infringement notices were anything by paramount.
I solved this problem by paying for a seedbox and realdebrid. Best part is the seedbox comes with a free VPN.
