Some femboy anon posted a thread here last night talking about how tired he was of using windows 11 and linux mint wasnt working for him so he ended up swapping to windows 7.

I didn't get to ask all the questions I wanted cause he disappeared and then the thread got deleted so I'll ask them here.

1. I only have one of those shitty external optical drives since pc company's stopped being cool and removed them, that should work fine if i have the windows 7 ultimate dvd?

2.When updating drivers they all say they wont be compatible, will it just be fine to download them and use them? if not where do I go for stuff like nvidia, amd, and other drivers I need?

3. apps like steam and others that say they don't work on windows 7, how do I get them to work? i'm a bit confused on everything.

I probably have a few more questions but I can't think of them right now and I have to get to work so I'll only be able to check this thread every now and then, thanks for any of the help

never transitionned to the retarded way so I had no work to do.
I still listen to music I downloaded over 2 decades ago because I'm not a fucking moron, crony capitalism was bad back then, it's still the same retardation right now, steal from as many big companies as you can because it's the ethical thing to do and nobody can prove me wrong.

okay im doing this just realized I can actually like tag by individual musicians in bands and query by that which is how I listen to lots of stuff gonna export everything and start dling again...
my approach is going to be output my lastfm + streaming service history, build up actual sqlite db with all the artist info/deduped, pull in musician info, and just focus on getting the database sorted out should just fetch all releases for any artist.

I'd like to get it set up for I can say I like X musician, fetch all artists this musician has worked with/all releases, automatically download from soul seek. So I can just add a new musician and have all that work happen automatically, and it stays organized because the organizing thing is the DB which doesn't necessarily have all the music downloaded it would just be set up so if I want to dl anything in my music database it can automatically download it (party so I don't need to dl everything right now to start). i think this makes sense and should be fun to set up

Instead of declaring it with the __attribute__((weak)), declare it as a regular extern without a definition. This way, the compiler won't be responsible for catching its absence, but the linker will emit an error during the linking phase if no other translation unit provides a definition.
When you use __attribute__((weak)), it tells the linker that it's okay if this symbol is missing; the linker will simply resolve it to nullptr. By using a regular extern, you'll force the linker to verify that there's exactly one definition provided for global_fn_dll_config elsewhere in your codebase. If no definition is given, the linker will emit an "undefined reference" error, stopping the build process.

>Our North Star is ‘1 engineer, 1 month, 1 million lines of code.’ To accomplish this previously unimaginable task, we’ve built a powerful code processing infrastructure. Our algorithmic infrastructure creates a scalable graph over source code at scale. Our AI processing infrastructure then enables us to apply AI agents, guided by algorithms, to make code modifications at scale. The core of this infrastructure is already operating at scale on problems such as code understanding.”

Tired of pretending dense models beyond 4b have any future in this space. Some people enjoy them but that's the problem; they enjoy them, but the expense of tk/s is a tradeoff no one can actually afford, considering that applications beyond the saturated chatbot market demand high throughput almost real time responses. The closer you move to domestic hardware, the more problematic the density of the model is, because the hardware Nvidia let's us have at that level sucks.

Anyway. Even if a 14b beat at some edge case a massive model I wouldn't care. To do hard engineering with AI you need low latency response time. This is why Chinese models, specifically qwen3 next are the rage, even when trained in garbage Huawei hardware.

vinyl and cd's
I don't do spotify and have a collection starting from back when it was considered 'normal'
Nowadays you can buy used cd's on discogs at very reasonable prices.
I buy vinyl when I really like the artist and want a 'collecters item' or just want to support them. They earn more from that than the 0.004$ per stream.

I've paid for a podcast service, and I want to automate the download of a very specific stream. Apparently the links are generated on demand, so I have to use the browser, manually click a few buttons then I can finally get a link.

What's the best way to automate this process? I'm using Fedora and Firefox if that helps.

No, they don't. It's easier to copy the photos off your iPhone, edit them and post them on social media using macOS, so if that's your use case and you can afford a decent Mac, that's the better option. But it doesn't affect my use case of compiling code, running VMs, etc., and Linux does that better.
