>poojeet ass kisser takes the reign on standup and gets at 30 minute rant to prove his worththe CTO is trying real hard to give him a compliment now
Coding is a fucking joke now
Someone post that "Microsoft CEO says up to 30% of the company's code was written by AI -> New Windows 11 update kills SSDs" headline compilation.
>>106532248at your service, kek
>>106531496Before AI most code was copy and pasted from Stackoverflow. (Especially for Webdev )
>>106532287webshittery shouldnt be even called programmingits fucking arts and craftsthe most complicated thing one has to do is to code a menu
>>106532328Webshit is quite difficult in my opinion. All those retarded frameworks are a pain in the ass.
lmao, i can't believe i used to pay artists hundreds of dollars for artworkdo you feel bad for artists?
>>106522873>You need either a beefy PC or a paid account to generate images,no lmao
>>106522873you really don't, i bought an rx6600 second hand for very little which can generate images fairly quickly. the barrier for entry is not 0, but it's very low
>>106527973>BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPKek
>>106527770Wrong, half of /g/ are technophile normie consumers and the other half are programmers who keep to themselves. Techbro niggers being put in the same places as programmers is what ruins the image of programmers.
>>106520388>Creativity is in the head, not in the material world.Ergo, AI is creative
Anyone here using a Robot Vacuum? I'm thinking of getting an X40 Ultra and flashing it with Valetudo. I can get it for $1,700 AUD now (~$1,100 USD) but I'm thinking it might get cheaper on Black Friday.
>>106531867What's actually life changing is a dish washer. They actually do a better job at washing dishes than humans. Meanwhile, even the best robot vacuums struggle to compete with a person who is competent at cleaning.
>>106529629i have a roborock qrevo master, it's great. the mop is an absolutely must. the only a bit annoying part at first is that it just cannot handle wires, it gets stuck on them, so it forces you to have an organized room with all the cables hidden, which ends being a very good thing. the AI object detection is completely unreliable so it is better to disable all of that, and just get used to not leave crap on the floor.
>>106532207>Meanwhile, even the best robot vacuums struggle to compete with a person who is competent at cleaning.Yeah but you can buy a robot for like 1k and then just let it run while you do other shit. You have to pay more over time for a person, or you have to give up your own time and clean.
>>106532274I know.
>>106529643No, you don't, balding virgin loser.
Why aren't you on a hunger strike to prevent Big Tech from developing AI?
>>106530214Based Luddites unironically.
>>106532107Too much ai generated pornography. Their brains are ruined.
He could lose some weight yeah
dude the actual AI like from scifi movies and matrix will literally never happencant believe there people who think it will
>>106530214Because AI has already plateau'd
I've tried to move to Firefox from Chrome, but Firefox is just so fucking clunky it's unbelievable. It has so many annoying quirks that make it a pain to use.Chrome just fucking works.
Firefox tards will pretend firefox is fine despite it constantly losing in every benchmark, there being major sites like parts of google or snapchat or government sites that straight up don't work or allow firefox, the fact that it still has no proper sandboxing and is terrible for security, the fact that it literally can't display animations, gradients in images, or render text properly on sites. The fact that it can't play a long youtube video or playlist without at some point audio going quiet or freezing, the fact that it has a billion memory leak issues, the fact that it is more bloated and takes more ram than even chrome now, the fact that it ships with broken features constantly like the new AI feature that somehow without being used just takes up a extra gb of ram until it was patched a few weeks later, the fact it can't display UI animations at higher than 60fps. Firefox is literal jeetware. Kill yourselves. You are all fucking blind and retaded if you can use it without issues.
>>106532071I did, read the fucking thread Nirav..
>>106532106Surely you can link me a couple of them
>>106532089lintroons (firefox shills) are also like this. total fucking sperg death.
>>106532089what browser are you using?
>30% of Microsoft code is written by AI>"I'd say maybe 20%, 30% of the code that is inside of our repos today and some of our projects are probably all written by software,">Google CEO Sundar Pichai in October said that more than 25% of new code was written by AI. Earlier this month, Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke told employees that they will have to prove AI cannot do a job before asking for more headcount. Similarly, Duolingo CEO Luis von Ahn on Monday announced in a memo that the language-teaching company will gradually turn to AI in lieu of human contractors. Is this true?
>>106524052This is like saying that 30% of the code was written by an IDE.
>>106524324that has been the case for couple of decades
>>106524338Its pretty good to write a decent chunk of code, it fumbles after a certain period. however it still can be mitigated with good MCP framework. Rate limits are the true bottleneck an that is likely gonna get better in handful of years
>>106525348They mandate the CTOs to implement it and everyone below scrambles below to comply
>>106532170I believe this is what the big companies, which are pushing for AI, really want: to replace code monkeys. They want it to be true, so they will try it.
Why IS linux such a security nightmare?Posted from my Macbook Pro.

>>106532003don’t bother with a PCIe 5.0 drive unless you’re doing something like editing 4k video, PCIe is backwards compatible and a 4.0 drive will work in a 5.0 slot on a board
>>106531948I know 6 core is fine for gaming, casual usage and even GPU AI slop, but would an intel have been better for some of my more niche use cases like... I dunno, rendering/encoding video? I record with OBS sometimes and then clip and reencode with Handbrake to share on /vg/. I know NVENC is a thing, but still.
>>106532074Intel is much faster in those programs you mentioned at the same cost
>>106532179Man I can't believe I fell for the "Ryzen good for gayming" meme. Should've gotten a 14600k or something instead, very similar price.Always been on Intel ever since my Celeron E3300 (just gave that PC away a few days ago for a beer, guy from my neighbourhood wanted to harvest it for capacitors) and should've known better than to go AMD.At least my use cases aren't particularly demanding so I'll probably be fine for the next 3-5 years, unless the landscape changes significantly with PS6 coming out and my PC can't keep up...
>>106532215You could always upgrade just the CPU in 4 years, no big deal. Every intel CPU that's available now will be extremely dated in about 15 months once intel releases their 52 core novalake CPUs and AMD releases their 24 core CPUs
>630mhz celeron>max 2gb of ram>7 inch 480p screen with beautiful bezels>small but serviceable keyboard and trackpadLet me guess, you need more?
>>106497421I think I had that exact netbook, or at least one using the same chassis based on the power button positioning.Loved that little guy. It came loaded with Vista and ran a little sluggishly to begin with, but that disappeared the second I downgraded it to Windows XP plus the battery lasted way longer; I used to chuck it in my backpack and use it for note-taking and University work, as well as some light gaming (Touhou, Cave Story, emulation, etc.), and of course watching ye olde 480p/720p anime fansubs and browsing /g/.I would love a new one, but the problem with wanting to buy a 'net'book is that even if anyone still made them the modern inter-net (remember when that word used to be hyphenated?) sucks balls.
I just tried Q4OS on my 701. What a shit experience. Went back to Lubuntu.
>>106497421Nice
>>106530463i got a 701A when they first came out, i still own the box but i've long since sold the machine. i don't believe they ever shipped with Vista, maybe later ones did idk. mine came with Xandros linux
