It's not even over. There's still games coming to it scheduled for 2026 and even a couple for 2027.

yea it's pretty weird to me seeing my friends' kid play wow, rust, fortnight, and minecraft, while 10 years ago he played wow, rust, fortnight, and minecraft
the most popular games now seem to be the multiplayer ones that just keep getting updates for as long as they're profitable. and sure, to an extent that's not a new thing, when i was a teen there were also a handful of "lan games" which were go-to options regardless of their age, but most of the time you were playing more recent stuff, always a few games you were looking forward to playing around the corner
>>
Modding it is the best idea
Linux is an option but just get a PC.
If you mod it and for quite a bit of work you can get RetroArch on it. It does make a pretty good retro setup. I put a Bliss-Box Bridge on mine to use my older wired controllers. Helps for 3/6 button games. Or just use gamebato and get free stuff.

Computers keep getting faster but 99% of consumers have no use for that speed. A computer from 2010 is fast enough for everything most people do. Jacking up prices is the industry's solution to people only buying a new computer once every 20 years. The AI bubble is just an excuse.
>>

>99% of consumers have no use for that speed
retarded opinion. With the advent of AI consumers finally have a legitimate use for extremely powerful PCs for local agents.
>>

Did GPUs last time? Nope, welcome to the new normal. Why lower the prices to normal when people will pay the higher ones?

Sounds like you're delusional. Wayland became the default this decade and yet you see no mass complaints. Just a few hundred autistic people in their echo chamber.

The people who created the Code of Conduct. But you knew that when you made your disingenuous post.

Rust is the only one of the three whose code of conduct is remotely political, and I bet you still use Firefox despite it being the same.

This is why users with older computers should switch to gnu linux.
It might suck as an operating system, but at least the various distributions have the decency to provide security updates unlike microcock.

You won't find anything. Its driven my utterly insane that I am basically the only person on this entire planet who have seemed to notice the blaring issue. And the problem has been around for ages, Nvidia also has the problem, and it goes back to at least the 900 series.

Back in like 2015 I got a GTX 960, and it was profoundly broken when running on XP, because its scan out hardware is fundamentally allergic to front buffer rendering.

>>108109869
Yeah, that makes sense. I've decided to do some macro trickery to avoid having to declare things in two separate files. Hooray, C. I might change things in the future if the need arises, or if compile times get unruly.
>>
>>108109704
>I've been thinking of having a csv file or something, just so I don't have to keep hardcoding the data.
How often do you actually change that data? Do people without access to the source code need to change stuff in that data? There's a big meme about putting shit into csv, spreadsheets, or whatever other "non code" format when in 95% of instances it's just another layer of bullshit to develop and think about.

Do you really gain anything by writing the same lines into a csv compared to a container of your choice in code?
>>
>>108110061
Yeah, so I can directly define my sprites while working on a texture, not having to recompile things when I change proportions, etc.
It's not that I don't have reasons; I'm just more focused on getting my engine (and game) running right now than on making assets.
Shit, I could ship a small-ish game without all that functionality, but I don't have any ideas for a small game that I'd want to do.

I'm looking for a chan that only works on the Onion network. I searched the Hidden Wiki, but I didn't find any decent chans. Could someone send me a link to an Onion network chan that is still working on the Tor network? I would be very grateful if someone could help me with this :)

I only know nanochan but the one online now is a clone and filled with pizza. There's probably not a lot of onion-only chans since it's kinda pointless

I may have judged too harshly and too quickly. I got this from just prompting the caption and lyrics. It gets a little bit off the rails (most likely my fault for not tagging the segments appropriately and being hands off with most of the settings) but I think it did a great job matching vocals and lyrics to a style that's not supposed to mesh with it (granted alot of it is coming from its training data), and in interesting way. There's a couple of novel ideas in there somewhere that can be explored. The vocals are great too.

Jesus Christ.

"""AI""" is basically the ultimate way for evil humans to offload their systemic cruelty from direct actions, to unaccountable systems.

Everything from rejecting job application to piercing people's skulls in sinus operations.

You will get even less and you will be happy.
