Why there are so few women into coding?
>>106837799Why is this disgusting tranny always in my recommended videos?!I have to play my YT vedios in theater mode so that i avoid seeing xer horrible face.
>>106868512I don't like neither of those so you're wrong.

Any good music player /g/ can recommend? No I don't want to "just use my phone" I want a device that can only play music

>>106869922I have that exact one you have in your picture. I use it everyday in my car with aux. Good sound quality, runs 320 kbps no problem. Battery life is fucking insane. I think I paid $20 for it.I also have a retekess v115, but I use it outside.
Confess your sins.
>>106870193If you don't mind, I'd like to hear more in general, no one really talks about those type of distributions in this board. I've done some experimenting with Parabola myself before, qute the pita to install and the video driver didn't even work kek. I couldn't get Hyperbola to work either, some weird issue with UEFI I think, maybe I'll go freetard once I get my hands on a Thinkpad.
I couldn't get vs codium to workI couldn't get winehq to workI am running Ubuntu short term releasesI spent 3 years making a web app that doesn't work perfectI've tried hacking someone's ssh, only to have all my keys sent to their server, doxxing meI deleted all my porn so I can find a beautiful, badass woman. I have no clue where to find women. The list goes on forever.
I used Arch Install 5 years ago to install arch linux, I've been using that since then, and I still don't know how to install arch linux

>>106861739I used to record reruns of TNG episodes that aired in the middle of the night on VHS tapes in EP mode back in the early 2000s. You could fit like 6 episodes on one tape but they looked like absolute dogshit. I probably still have them in a closet somewhere.
>>106868368Yeah, there's no reason to think that they can't replicate actual alcohol or anything.Just saying by default you're going to get synthahol unless you tell it otherwise. Would probably be kinda disappointing if you were expecting a real martini.
>>106868972I used to stay up almost every week night to watch all kinds of Star Trek reruns during high school. Literally managed to set some kind of record for missing school without getting kicked out. The only countermeasure the school really had was robocalls to let your parents know you didn't attend class. All I had to do was know when it was calling and pick up the phone. Not sure you could get away with that shit these days.
>>106869138>Not sure you could get away with that shit these daysattendance is no longer mandatory in US schools
>>106868972>used to record reruns of TNG episodes that aired in the middle of the night on VHS tapes in EP mode back in the early 2000sI did this in the 90s but with SLP mode and it was TOS. It was actually early in the morning. I think 3AM. After TOS aired it played Ronin Warriors and Sailor moon. This is also how I discovered anime. For some reason our VCR was starting to recording on a timer but it would not stop. So I would watch the anime and then rewind the same back to the end of the last TOS episode because Star Trek was more important to me than the anime shows.
So just got into linux and decided to install debian after reviewing the other stable newbfriendly distros (ubuntu, mint, fedora, etc). Decided not to mess with the corporate leaning ones and settled on debian, but just found out theyre also hopping on the popular kill-all-straight-white-goys bandwagon. Should i be concerned and prepare to switch to something else, or is it just a nothingburger and debian should still be trusted? If the former, what distro should i consider instead? From what i read it seems like void linux ticks all the boxes(stable, non-corpo, non-political) besides the newbfriendly part.
>>106870866Work at a headshop>>106870886>for lazy retardsThats why it appeals to me. Want something to mainly use as an audio workstation and light basic desktop use. Its pretty minimal while also being stable, making it easier to only have to change a couple audio related components and not having to worry about updates for (potentially) years. Im not running it as a server and anyone trying to hack my shit isnt gonna get anything worth a shit

>>106871027I mean "human level AI" or whatever the fuck, not dumb gay npcs
>>106870423Unfortunately, until you can come up with a solution to keep bots at bay that doesn't involve identifying oneself one way or another, there isn't much we can do, is there? That's the biggest threat currently, because without it, we can always find small little communities with sensible people who actually put thought behind the things they say and do. Bots have the ability to ruin those easily, and they just grow in number as time flies by.>>106870671>once again markers of valueWhen exactly were they markers of value? Enough people, young and old, eat up the AI slop that is output to YouTube and similar websites these days, and they seem perfectly happy with that. It's just so easy to create that it fulfills this particular population's need for constant stimulation and instant gratification. It creates addicts. How do you cure them?
>>106871488There is no single cure for the compulsive consumption of algorithmic content, because it functions like an attention addiction sustained by design rather than willpower. The only effective approach is structural: redesign the environments that monetize distraction. Platforms could introduce friction by limiting autoplay, infinite scroll, and feed loops, while regulation could treat exploitative attention design as a public-health issue similar to nicotine or sugar. Education must emphasize media literacy and cognitive self-defense from childhood, helping people recognize manipulation before it takes hold. Cultural incentives also matter; if restraint, conversation, and boredom regain social value, shallow stimulation loses appeal. Rehabilitation comes not from moralizing detachment but from rebuilding systems that reward depth over dopamine.
