Friend thinks he's some kind of genius which he's not, he's great at producing in-depth videos on tech/electrical stuff that you don't mind wasting 30-60 mins watching without it becoming boring or annoying.

Old YouTube gave people like him and others like Vertasium a platform to perfect their art but I fear YT has been so sterilised and censored that it'll no longer be the case.

how to wipe a drive in a way that is truly unrecoverable?

fellas, It brings me great joy to tell you all that I've finally gotten over my lifelong crossdressing fetish. My 10+ years of pics have already been rounded up and deleted, and the recycle bin has been emptied. now I just need a method of disk cleaning capable of scrambling the magnets inside enough to properly dispose of the "evidence."

I wouldn't have been so paranoid about this before in the past but I was reading about this whole incident here the other day thinking "yeah, I'd probably kill myself if something like this happened to me" so I really wanna do this to finally have that peace of mind and be done with it.
>>
>>108509993
power drill and a big ass neodynium magnet will do the trick, desu you only need one but if you wanna go full tinfoil use both, first open the drive up and pull out the platters, just doing this alone makes the data unrecoverable for like 99% of people because you definitely damaged the drive to do this, those arms are sensitive and you almost certainly fucked one up, swapping does no good either because the chipset on the harddrive is needed for data recovery, the remaining folks have special equipment to fix and/or transplant the necessaries
so after you dismantle the things you'll find some powerful neodynium magnets VERY powerful (because they're used to move the arms really fast) take one of those and just rub it all over the platter, really get it in there
finally take a power drill and shatter the fucking things, or a hammer, pmuch anything that'll actually physically destroy the platters, unless you have the nuclear launch codes or some shit no one is going to put in the effort to try to rebuild a broken platter

>Not sure what private trackers are all about?
Private trackers are not secret clubs. They are exclusive clubs. They exist to create well seeded and properly curated selections of high quality media. Also to make freeloaders seethe and shill shitty Android apps that don't work without paying to pirate.

I have a bunch of bare HDDs sitting in a suitcase that I pull out and connect to my PC with a SATA-to-USB adapter whenever I need to fill them with data or pull data out. I make a text file with a list of all the files on each HDD so I can search them and decide which one I need to pull out of the suitcase.

When you require() EncryptedNet from the server, it sets up a RemoteFunction for a handshake. When you require() EncryptedNet from the client, it calls that handshake remote. The server and client each generate public & private keys, then send their public keys to each other. Using these keys, they perform an Elliptic-curve Diffie–Hellman key exchange to arrive at a shared secret that is later used to encrypt all traffic.

When the server calls :SetCallback() on a remote, the callback is actually set to a function that receives encrypted data and a signature. This function decrypts the data with the shared secret using the ChaCha20 cipher (since ChaCha20 is efficient for non-hardware applications like ours), then verifies the decrypted data using the elliptic curve signature. Once it has done that, it passes the decrypted data to your specified callback function and your code runs none the wiser.

When a client calls :CallServerAsync() on a remote, it first takes your arguments and encrypts them with ChaCha20 and the shared secret, then creates a signature using your private key, and then sends those along.

This process is similarly done around :Connect(), :SendToPlayer(), etc. All of the RbxNet API is wrapped to properly handle authenticated encryption on all of your traffic on that remote.

The only speakers I had hissing from were the KRK Rokit 5 and it was from a ground loop.
I used unbalanced RCA inputs, all it took was a cheap galvanic insulator/separator and the hiss was gone.
My current monitors go through an audio interface and balanced XLR and there's no problem at all.

of course I'm not defending discussing anime outside of /a/, it's just that anime is imbued in the site culture to such a degree that anyone getting their panties in a twist over anime can be safely dismissed as a lunatic, and bitching about anime posts or making little charts about it is a massive fool's errand. newfa/g/s get mad if you so much as post some harmless smug anime girl. they seriously can't help themselves and i have no idea why it causes such irrational rage. anyone that isn't used to it after a week of lurking should seriously look for some other website
