When was the "sweet spot" for the internet?
2002 with a cable modem/dsl. Most websites were still dial up designed so they loaded really quickly. Now in 2025 despite having a connection over 3000 times more bandwidth websites are still slow if they use vibe coded js.
2004-2008 was probably the best on a web browser level. Safari and Firefox was literally destroying Internet Explorer 6 but then Google ruined it by coming out with Chrome which laid the foundation for the future, then in January 2009 the whole crypto industry started.
>>107579291This. The last time the internet was good was in early 2014. It's only been downhill from there. To me personally peak internet was 2010-2013.
2009-2018 was PEAK internet. Everything after is total brainrot and everything before was great, but not as good.
>>107579291"Web 2.0" was never good.
Currently have a 750ti.Am I good to buy some random used GPU for lilke $100 off ebay? I'm thinking either a 980ti or GTX 1080
>>107576458Get an RX 5700 for that price. Much better than a 1080.
>>107576458I have a GTX 1080 that's still chugging along in my main rig.Still plays all the game I want to play at 1440p. I actually tried retiring it this year but the specific RX 9070 model I bought had issues with GPU drivers so it will continue on.If you buy one, I would try to go with an EVGA model (rip).
You could get vega 56/vega 64 will do job well. If you can get a 1080ti since 11gb vram or titan xp will help with modern games

>>107583293 #I bought the RM11 Pro at 3am and they just shipped it after 11 hours. That was fast! Coming from California to me here in NY. I’m gonna buy cases I saw on Amazon. ;)

>>107583968>AmazonThat's fine, the cases I linked are also available on Amazon. Nubiamart just has a bigger selection. I decided to use the case frame without backcover for when I'm going to family/friends or high profile meetings, and the soft TPU case for everyday use. Have fun with it!
I'm a digital hoarder. My bookmarks span into the tens of thousands even though I rarely bookmark individual pages (as opposed to just the main page). I want to better organize this stuff, but all the bookmark organizing software I've looked at seems bloated and overengineered as fuck, and that's before AI getting added into everything. Do I really need to self-host this stuff? Can't it just work as an extension or regular offline program? Does anyone have any experience with any of this software?

A local search function for your devices works well enough just for the text data, my work is effectively creating a secondary off-site index of your personal "data" (Bookmark::Service).Since your behavior is organic, this means you have effective immortality and unique freedom.

>>107583941>Toyota hybrid trannys are literally just a reduction gear like an EVNo, they're a planetary gearset which will wear a bare minimum of 3x faster and has more slop for the torque to push on and therefore more drivetrain losses.
