>Use KDE gayland, everything is slow, low fps, input lag, weird frame pacing that doesnt feel smooth even with a smooth frametime graph in games

>Use X11 with Xmonad Tiling window manager, It just werks, everything werks, no latency or input lag
>High FPS, gaming just werks and I get 20fps+ more than gayland for some reason and its buttery smooth
>Fast with zero bloat, Configure everything to my liking

At this point, I wont even use any desktop environment on linux if it isn't X11. Even XFCE is dead to me because it has wayland support. I will never support anything wayland based on linux.
I'm X11 pilled.

I have been mastering video for normalfag consumption for 25 years now and I'll tell you straight out HDR is fucking garbage. It literally does nothing but attempt to make blacks look good you your shitting overpriced garbage LCD monitor and it fails to do a decent job at that. Since nothing will ever compare to the color reproduction and real blacks that were possible on CRT.

But feel free to continue buying the next gimmick so I can re-master the same garbage content I've already mastered 4 of 5 times by now because you idiots keep re-buying it.

I use Xenocara and a private fork of X11 by the way. I have a 6 monitor set-up at my FreeBSD workstation. Yes it supports HDR and mixed refresh rates and all the other shit you idiots keep parroting isn't possible in X11. We tried to push our modifications upstream years ago and FreeDesktop refuses to accept them. Thankfully, the OpenBSD guys and the Xlibre guy aren't massive fags and are happy to take our code.

All my laptops run OpenBSD by the way and they're far more secure than any garbage Linux distro you're using with systemd backdoor bundled in.

Thanks for keeping my employed. I bet you bought a 3D TV 10 years ago too lmao.

Linux has better hardware support than Windows 10 or 11, I have a 25 year old wacom tablet that hasn't been supported since before Windows 7, JustWerks(TM) in Linux. My 4070 Super works fine.

why are so many programming "help" groups like this? like, somebody will specifically opt into helping people, and then get frustrated when they dont do exactly what they expect. it constantly feels like im testing everyone's patience whenever i ask for help and its even harder trying to just learn everything myself, especially considering all the weird semantic differences in both the language itself and guides.

like i can imagine a full script in my head but i wouldnt know how to translate it into the language im currently using. and on the offchance that i *do* get the help needed, usually its just "oh just use the blah function", so its not like i just Dont Know How To Code or anything i just dont know the shit thats specific to the engine, and its not like i can just look it up in a glossary or something because the words can be totally different from language to language, like how "object" in one language can be "entity" in another, and object in *that* language refers to an object in an array or something, so theres just a huge language gap that i cant really cross without the help of others, which sucks because working with others sucks

Whether from the perspective of a frustrated noob like OP or some angry old nigger like >>107654160, the entire interaction called "help" appears to be a massive waste of time. I certainly don't bother with it anymore. If it's not the sort of thing I can teach myself, it's not worth bothering with
>>
>>107640271
if you were smart enough to figure out things on your own then you wouldnt be asking for help
ergo listen to what you're told instead of being """"creative"""""
>>
>>107654160
I ask that bc I want to learn the language / system and got stuck without a clue on how to proceed, and because I don't want my homework done for me. I only learn by really grokking the most retarded-seeming details of the language, not by adopting "design patterns" or "best practices", which is purely about aesthetics and preventing feuds between codemonkeys.

I have to draw a line between smart and true genius, there just isn't a safe place to draw it. Emotions are going to affect perception, which will easily produce an effect where the kind and patient person seems more wise. Real genius (like yours) will tend to grow in a way which does value intelligence, except over time the capacity for recognizing how different a level of reasoning they enjoy actually is from everyone else makes continued tolerance difficult.

You are right, true wisdom is necessary to value mentorship and advanced teaching.

>Our North Star is ‘1 engineer, 1 month, 1 million lines of code.’ To accomplish this previously unimaginable task, we’ve built a powerful code processing infrastructure. Our algorithmic infrastructure creates a scalable graph over source code at scale. Our AI processing infrastructure then enables us to apply AI agents, guided by algorithms, to make code modifications at scale. The core of this infrastructure is already operating at scale on problems such as code understanding.”

It's over. We will never have cheap inference. Nobody will ever be able to escape the Nvidia tax.

that's wrong, read groq's press release

> Today, Groq announced that it has entered into a non-exclusive licensing agreement with Nvidia for Groq’s inference technology. The agreement reflects a shared focus on expanding access to high-performance, low cost inference.

> As part of this agreement, Jonathan Ross, Groq’s Founder, Sunny Madra, Groq’s President, and other members of the Groq team will join Nvidia to help advance and scale the licensed technology.

> Groq will continue to operate as an independent company with Simon Edwards stepping into the role of Chief Executive Officer.

>>107658355
I was going to tell you you're wrong and the P stands for PHP only, but apparently the Perl/Python part was discussed as early as 2011 https://stackoverflow.com/q/6446385
The people in that thread also mention that PHP was the original P in LAMP stack. It probably has even earlier references of course, but I'm not bothering to look any further.

I'm actually looking for a perl dev for the site world2ch.net
The textboards and imageboard are both perl scripts, but the imageboard specifically needs some work since it's a messy incomplete fork. There is an IRC channel we could discuss it in, if you end up doing it you'll get full dental benefits.
>>
>>107658546
>>107658355
I'm older than you newfags, the P was always stood for PHP
back then there was also windows version of LAMP called XAMPP, when you google it, the results were always P stands for PHP

Temperature is fairly accurate, even on the cheap ones.
You can get cheap digital ones they'll use a small button cell which will need replacement eventually, but after like 6 months do it's not that bad.
You can also just get analog ones, those cost about the same, are as accurate or more (though harder to read) and don't need batteries.

Humidity is the tougher one. There are digital and analog temperature and humidity sensors. Neither is very accurate though digital seems to be slightly better imo.
I have both digital and analog ones, and neither is correct, though the digital is off by about ±10% while the analog one can vary ±20%.
It's enough for a rough "should I air out this room to prevent mold" check (which is what I use them for), but not much else. For a grow tent, 3d print farm or anything where accuracy matters, it's not good enough.

I'd say get cheap ones from the bundle section.
Digital if the accuracy matters to you, analog if you prefer the convenience of no batteries. Neither should cost you much (2-3$ each)

Some digital ones can take AAA batteries, I autistically soldered a AA battery holder on it and it lasts like 2 years and still show no sign of battery depletion. AAA would probably last a whole year easy anyways.

>>107657618
