Python is also written in Python (PyPy).
And Python is crucial for building Rust.

The point of my post was that getting Python installed with a Python program without having Python already installed is difficult (but not impossible), hence `uv` being written in a different language.
>>
>>107637180
No.
requirements.txt describes the runtime environment, pyproject.toml describes the project. These two files are unrelated.
>>
>>107636515
I haven't used uv much yet but I bet you can set it up with uv run so that declaring the dependency is the only way (or at least the most convenient way even in the short term) to fix the issue. That's how many other package managers operate
Stateful environments were a mistake

Yeah, I also hate that every fucking lib requires "this particular version of yada yada, or I won't work!"
Heck, requiring a major version, I can understand, but going minor (or revision sometimes), that's just the best way to push people to use containers (aka, "if it works on my machine, I will ship my machine")

I use pip and requirements.txt, and fuck if people while about it.

Nice trips btw

Kinda a weird issue. Some videos on my external drive wont play when I try to play them directly from the external drive but if I just copy them over onto the desktop they play perfectly fine. Its not even every video. Its just some of them and the size doesnt seem to matter as some videos over 1gb play but others could only be like 10mb and not play and vice versa so the file size of the videos isnt the the cause. Thoughts?

Slower extrusion/hotend moving speed somewhat fixes it and so it buying a more expensive printer, although these lines will still be visible to an extent. You can also postprocess every part by either manually sanding or soaking ABS in acetone but I haven't tried that myself yet.

Crossbows are pretty fun too as a europoor. I printed the Adderini repeating crossbow, way more power than I was expecting with the 80 lbs arm, the AL arrowheads can go through two filled cardboard boxes. I'm designing some custom mods for it too.
3D printers can be fun even if you don't know CAD, but they really become 10x more fun if you do.
>>
>>107633798
Fully custom design? I'm guessing it's .22LR? I'd be interested to see someone design a fully printable 9mm handgun, but I don't know if that's possible since nobody did it yet as far as I know, only carbines.

Is it worth learning raylib and c++ if I want to make a voxel game like minecraft?

C is ass for gamedev though. all it would need to be perfect is operator overloading
>>
>>107634966
Ok yeah if you dont wanna use an engine you should watch some handmade hero. I wouldnt use C++, it's way way more bloated than C, but you do you.
fwiw I use Jai and I would recommend that for gamedev over anything else, plus it works with raylib, but it's not out yet, so you gotta use another language or hunt down a leak of the compiler somewhere. You could also use Odin which is basically Jai lite edition
>>
>>107634115
You might not need to know any C at all, I think you can make fully fledged games for Minetest with lua
>>
>>107634115
C++ + Raylib would be fine. Or Rust + Bevy/Vulkano, but that might turn out somewhat more challenging.
>>
>>107635348
As much as I love Luanti, it's a shitshow...
They even canned Minetest because "we don't want to give the bad idea that luanti can only do minecraft clones"
I haev when opensource tards think the one thing they are """good""" at is, in the end, not what people used their work for...
I mean, 7z is for compression. It doesn't drop archive support just because it want to be something else (just make an other project then)

Apple doesn't have their own fabs.
But they are large enough that their relationship to TSMC is more equal. They invest in TSMC's manufacturing capabilities and TSMC gives them first place for making production orders. So ai kikes can buy up all the consumer RAM they want, Apple will be sourcing theirs straight from the foundry anyways.

Their whole business model is premium hardware, they won't do the cloud shit.
>>
They can keep pushing this but it will never take off. If they actually think the average person wants to put up with docker APIs, they're fucking retarded and incompetent. You actually have to be low IQ to think this can work. They average person they're trying to scam (immoral) here doesn't even know what GPU is.

I think you're underestimating a bit

Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine.

Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?

It doesn't have to be a better experience than all Windows since 95. It just has to be a better experience than Windows 11. People will tolerate a fair deal of jank in exchange for a system that runs faster with less bullshit in the background, not nagging you to sign into shit you don't want, and not constantly trying to sell you subscription services you don't want.

Python, one of the very few modern & popular programming languages not owned by big tech, is now begging hard for money at python.org (picrel), Wikipedia style.

This comes after the PSF rejected an US government grant because the PSF can't stop shilling for DEI: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/10/28/211237/python-foundation-rejects-government-grant-over-dei-restrictions
The same PSF then reported a surge of new donators following the above rejection: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/11/09/2017240/python-foundation-donations-surge-after-rejecting-grant---but-sponsorships-still-needed
Yet, they are now begging for money, using a big, intrusive and cringe banner at python.org, kek.

This is what your donated money is used for: https://www.python.org/psf/grants
>Conferences (e.g. PyCon Italia)
>Event site subscriptions (Meetup.com) (e.g. London Django Meetup)
>Django Girls Workshops (e.g. Django Girls Busan Workshop)
>PyLadies Workshops (e.g. All Day PyLadies Workshop)

These faggots have a whole page dedicated to their DEI philosophy: https://www.python.org/community/diversity
Their Libera Chat #python IRC channel is filled to the brim with trannies (they/them and she/her pronouns set as their IRC name).
