& yes I have reverted the imageserver back to i.4cdn.org
I get this without the extension. I only have darkreader & ublock running. It seems periodic but I haven't tried diving into devtools yet.. I was assuming timeouts. it's always the thumbnails at the bottom of the catalog
It works fine for me on the native extension but it's occurring on 4stats. Both call to the same API so it must be a regionalized Cloudflare issue.
>>107669704>>107669734Fair enough - server side or cloudflare. Cheers.Interestingly and I've never noticed this but even with the image server set to is2.4cdn.org the image redirects to i.4cdn.org
>>107669764Assuming you mean is2.4chan.org yeah they all redirect to i.4cdn.org unless the mods actually flip the toggle to use them which has only happened once or twice in the past decade.

How good are the Intel Thinkpads for things like gaming, video editing, and playing with code? Biggest game I would play on it would be ZZZ.

>>107669547>Don't give a company information you don't want them to haveoh they’ll take it. whether offered up freely or not.If you’ve so much as stepped foot in a grocery store in the last 5 years they’ve created a profile on you. even if you brought no electronics and left without buying anything. they’ve tagged you with facial recognition and gait analysis. they know what they can advertise to you based on how you made your way through the store. they’ve gathered everything they possibly can and they’ll sell it to anyone who’ll pay.
>>107669710that's why I put a different rock in my shoe every time I walk in
I use QubesOS with detached boot partition on 2 duplicated USB drives with any data that rests on the SSD/HDDs being encrypted with LUKS2. Whonix gateway is proxied through a VPN qube to hide Tor IPs (can't hide communication patterns) without bridges since bridge IPs can be farmed. Sometimes Tor through I2P outproxy or vice-versa or with different anonymizing network overlays. Clients used for browsing are only opened in on-RAM ephemeral qubes with no access to permanent storage. Attack surface is quite minimum since no extra things added like USB mouse and no PV qubes (aside from sys-usb and sys-net) are used for launching HVM qubes with qemu stub domains unless very necessary and every other qube on the system gets shut down first to keep information leakage minimum. A veracrypt volume with hidden storage on a permanent qube for data storage and plausible deniability.what's your setup like?
>>107666084I use Serpent cipher.
>>107668982>>107669013what's a good general purpose linux distro to run inside of qubes or VMs that compliments it well? a lot of distros ship by default with annoying programs installed that make unnecessary outbound connections or use port 80 by default for repository packages. gets tedious trying to reconfigure, disable or remove packages every new VM creation.
>>107664217>what's your setup like?I use an ASUS laptop running Windows 10 on the public wifi from McDonald's across the street. Been doing this for 3 years and never been compromised. Your schizo "muh privacy" measures are all just placebos and actually do nothing.
>>107669564>gets tedious trying to reconfigure, disable or remove packages every new VM creation. You should just do that from the VM template(s), so that every new VM created based on that template would already have those changes applied. Unfortunately, you can't really just install [insert random distro here] and have it integrated as seamlessly as one of the preconfigured template VMs because the VMs need some extra qubes-related packages in order for them to integrate like they're supposed to. Otherwise it will be like running a whole virtualized, independent desktop inside the VM window like you do with 'traditional' VM software, and that's not really the point of Qubes. So, what you should do is select one of the existing templates, then make all the changes to your template to remove the unwanted software etc. Then make all your appVMs based on your improved template configuration. That way, instead of having to make these modifications every time you create a new VM, you only have to do it once, and the new VMs will adopt these changes automatically.>Official templates:>Fedora-42>Debian-13>Fedora-minimal>Debian-minimal>Community templates:>Ubuntu>ArchComment too long. >>107669621How would you know if you've been compromised? You think you're going to see a pop-up window saying "I've been owned"? If you read between the lines, OP is clearly doing some "dangerous" stuff online and probably needs security/anonymity more than you. Just because you haven't been owned doesn't mean someone couldn't do it if they wanted to.

>>107669499This doesn't have much to do with what other people are saying but it is a little weird that the change to vulkan hardware decoding by default didn't also make vulkan the default gpu-api. Obviously it the api and context will get pulled in by the hwdec setting IF it is enabled but in the default case with software decoding it will still use d3d11 on windows and opengl on linux. Seems like kind of a kasper moment. I bet if I check the commit history this will be his fault.
>>107669571basically, its because vulkan as hwdec is the best-maintained zerocopy path on a lot of systems atm. but that doesnt automatically mean that vulkan is also the best gpu-api at the same time
>>107669619Forgive my ignorance why does zerocopy matter? When I've tried settings that mention zero copy in their name before on Chromium and mpv they've caused pretty severe bugs.
>>107669635basically everything you can think of EXCEPT visual quality. so lower overhead, power consumption, latency, way better frame pacing, way more headroom for heavy shaders if you do that (i know i do baby). also, less chances of pathological stalls from synchro (think of all the "flush & wait" type shit madvr always had to do)
>>107669635>they've caused pretty severe bugsThat shouldn't happen for Vulkan since the spec requires that zero-copy decoding is the only option. So it is the default, tested path. There were bugs in other APIs because nobody ever supported doing it that way.
