everything worked without online connection
computers worked fine with just 200mb of ram
physical media was still king
there was no information overload
Operating Systems weren't bloated
Browsers, Software and Games weren't bloated
Hardware wasn't bloated and could run with minimal to no active cooling
Design trends tried to depict the future (picrel)
Every technology was made with user friendliness in mind

Nah it was with the ps3 / iphone honestly.
>no need for memory cards
>no need to worry about the distance to your tv, because of the controller cable
>just get a hdmi and be done
>can use your pc as mediaserver and stream to your console
>games looked phenomenal and you still got the whole trilogy in a consoles lifespan
>free online

And why iphone, I remember the steve jobs keynote. Guy was there saying why blackberries where annoying, because you couldn‘t change the keyboard ever and he was right. Something like an iphone truly was great or (insert your android smartphone here).

Also the corpos didn‘t fuck you with their algorithms and shit back then.

in civilized countries we keep our dogs inside the house unless they need to use the bathroom or release some energy. any stray dog quickly gets picked up by animal control and sent to an animal shelter. 3rd worlders are just inherently shitty people, so they don't see the value in this kind of compassion towards animals.

Huh, I feel similarly, but opposite. I feel like I fell for the small phone meme and compromised too much with my Galaxy S23 compared to various Plus/Ultra/Max models of phones.
>>
Trying to unlock the bootloader on a galaxy A03 core.
I did all the settings on the phone, now the tutorial says I gotta turn it off, press both volume buttons then connect it to a PC and it will boot into the bootloader unlock thing. I can't get it to do that, it just charges the phone instead. I'm on linux, if that matters, maybe it doesn't trigger the signal for the bootloader for some reason?

Definitely 16PM over 17PM at that price difference.
How much do you save by buying the base 17? If it's over 200, it might be worth considering if you don't need the bigger screen and telephoto.

Most of the time 2 years but the 17 pro looks like shit and the rumored camera hole for the 18 pro sounds shit. So I will wait for the 20, which should not have a notch or a hole in it. This time I will go with a pro max, as the pro is pretty comfy for one handed and is still big but lately I realized I use my phone with two hands anyways.

this exact 6TB WD elements is the best deal i can get at $30/TB vs $39/TB for 4TB or worse for smaller ones
Can i just crack this open and take out the bare HDD or will it not work because of different pinout of power connector?

I still have some 500gb drives alive too, but I also got dead ones of the exact same brand.. (wd blue)
When it comes to HDD's right now, I only buy WD Gold or hgst (bought by wd now) ultrastar disks
Sure they cost more but at least come with some guarantee they will live for 5y

Just looked and there are normal and 'Mac' variants of these.

Ultrastars and golds are really only worthwhile if you don't care about noise and have good cooling
They are rated for vibration more than anything else, in a regular Joe PC or NAS they are a bit pointless

Which codecs does it support over Bluetooth? AptX, AptX HD, AptX Adaptive, AAC, SBC, LDAC?
Since they don't mention it at all in the listing (and also disagree with themselves whether it's BT 5.0 or 5.3), I bet it's just standard SBC and perhaps, if you're really lucky, AAC. The bare minimum needed for decent audio over Bluetooth, in other words.
