have tons of video, some 2hrs long. Used whisperx to transcribe, using obsidian notes for hearing. Need to cook tf out of her for threatening false accusations. You guys know of a (local?) AI that I can run to analyze video? Something simple-ish, like basic scene changes, descriptions. Any lawyers or law students here? What tools do you guys use?

That's fair enough, and indeed mostly the way I think.
But - and its a big but - since the first 5MB ST-506 rolled off the production line, they've been measuring disk size in decimal, and they've always been up-front about this with "1MB = 1,000,000 bytes" proudly displayed on them.
>>
>>107680144
i never said i dont get that, but i still think its retarded and false advertising.
"2TB = 1.81TiB" is accurate according to the set standards, yeah, but the vast majority of people either use windows (which uses 1028 under a KB format) or just dont know of the difference.
not to mention how a 1028 system just makes more sense since we're talking about binary computers.
the word that sounds real should go with the optimal measurement system, and the made up nonsense word should go with the nonsensical system
>inb4 DOOD 1000 MAKES SENSE! ITS FLAT!!!
not for computers, 1028 does (see >>107680419)
but if you're saying that a measurement system of 1000 makes sense for computers, you're probably the same kind of retard that thinks the temperature system humans use on a day to day basis should be the system for water instead of the system for humans.

in fact actually thinking about it, the "kibi" nonsense was probably made up by some retarded that doesnt understand the fundamentals of computing.
>one kilobyte is 2^10 bytes, one megabyte is 2^20, and so on.
>to anyone that actually understands the basics and how computers work best in multiples of 2, this system makes perfect sense
>now if you're a retard that doesn't understand, you'll only see the raw values of "kilo = 1028" and "mega = 1048576"
so no, i will not accept your "kibble bites" nonsense, the real unit is kilobyte and it equals 1028.
i WILL continue to accuse hard drive companies of false advertisement.
>>
>>107680540
You can do that, anon.
But "Tera" has meant a trillion for the better part of a century.
Drives have had "1MB/1GB/1TB = a million/billion/trillion bytes" written all over them since your parents were in diapers.
It's not going to stick, no matter how much it hurts your feelings - others have tried.
>>
>>107680622
yeah, your kibble bite nonsense wont stick.
>>
>>107680626
It's not my nonsense - indeed, I think whichever nigger down at IEC headquarters who invented these "words" needs to have his entire family swinging from lamp posts as an example to the next ten generations not to try to normalise autism.
But it doesn't change the fact that Tera means a trillion.

my mother bought a samsung tv and there is no digit pads on the remote, i don't understand the thought process
>>
>>107680543
The thought process is that you only care about streaming now and if there even is a TV tuner you probably don't use it. I don't know if my Samsung TV has a tuner. This is the Philippines after all and ISDB-T is the standard. That's somewhat exotic. A few TVs have a built in ISDB-T tuner, some have analog NTSC tuners still (you can still get OTA analog TV and there are a lot of local cable companies that are still analog) while others now just have HDMI and composite inputs in addition to the smart TV garbage. It's a giant mess compared to a large market like the US where they will get models with ATSC made specifically for them. But lots of people won't realize they can still watch free over the air TV with an antenna because they are that stupid. It's just been forgotten by many.
>>
>>107678737
Normies IQ is too low to understand what the button does.
>>
>>107678737
>home button
>watch the ad
>select the source
>watch the source selection ad
>throw the remote in the trash
>use only that input forever
>>
>>107680565
I forgot to mention a few things. Here in the Philippines most people who watch digital over the air TV will use an external set top box tuner that has HDMI/composite outputs. This means they will have a separate remote and almost always it does have a numerical pad. That really cuts through all this confusion.

While I haven't ever looked into what kind of tuner the Samsung in our living room has, if it has one at all, I have a 32 inch TCL TV in my bedroom with no smart features. It actually has an ISDB-T tuner and a full remote. It was probably one of the last of it's kind and it's full featured for what it is.

I'd just like to take a moment to shout out the new gooner chrome feature called Split View. It's surprisingly intuitive.

Forgive the retarded question, but been out of the game for awhile and want to make some decisions.
I need to replace some parts that died, and given the cost of ram all I could source was a 32 gig kit of cl30 ddr 5 ram.
Historically my "ai box" has had a 2x48gb kit of slightly worse timings, the main hardware in there is 2 3090s, and my question is if I took the 96 gig kit for my main build and gave it 32, how much would that hurt things? I know most stuff goes in the vram, but as far as recent models are there better quants or anything to where I won't notice that missing ram?

I use QubesOS with detached boot partition on 2 duplicated USB drives with any data that rests on the SSD/HDDs being encrypted with LUKS2. Whonix gateway is proxied through a VPN qube to hide Tor IPs (can't hide communication patterns) without bridges since bridge IPs can be farmed. Sometimes Tor through I2P outproxy or vice-versa or with different anonymizing network overlays. Clients used for browsing are only opened in on-RAM ephemeral qubes with no access to permanent storage. Attack surface is quite minimum since no extra things added like USB mouse and no PV qubes (aside from sys-usb and sys-net) are used for launching HVM qubes with qemu stub domains unless very necessary and every other qube on the system gets shut down first to keep information leakage minimum. A veracrypt volume with hidden storage on a permanent qube for data storage and plausible deniability.

what's your setup like?

Lol, no. Unless you have some goldilocks router model like a WRT54 that's not true at all. I have two Vodafone cable routers and two of those huawei home gateway boxes, all picked up from random yard sales, and nobody has a functional install for any of them. I'd guess the ratio is 1 in 20, at best.

>unnecessarily complex
Is there a simpler alternative? Maybe it's complex for you, low IQ nigger, but anyone can figure out how to use Nix after a few days.
>without proper documentation
Use case for proper documentation? Maybe that's something you need in your crappy enterprise Java job. Functional programming hardly requires extensive documentation; it's in the very nature of the paradigm. If you can't understand it, memes aside, it's a skill issue, meaning the problem is you, not the tool.
>you will only get the most autistic of troons on board
Ironically or not, the autistic troons already deliver higher quality software than the nazifags larpers who are bothered by the trannies. The most you chuds can manage is to make some meme like Apartheid Linux, basically a toy project of LSF, nothing more than that.
I also don't want a project full of colorful faggot flags, the problem is that you don't do anything relevant in return either, so the software field is completely free for trannies to play. If you think NixOS is bad, try making a better alternative. Simple as that.
