>>107886778Do you think AI is detrimental to shareholders? Do you think they are against AI?Nigger, I bet that this was a board mandate.Every time a company announces they a putting AI on their product/service, no matter how retarded and anti-consumer it is, the shares go up, to shareholders thunderous applause.
It’s crazy how it will literally be impossible to build a PC in about 12-18 months, and might never be possible again.whatever PC you have now is probably it.Unless you feel like spending 200-500% MSRP for RAM and GPUs. And even that option is likely to go away. At some point soon, your “upgrading” options will be a cloud terminal connecting to Sam Altman’s panopticon, or a $300,000 server.

Are vibecoders essentially beggars?
>>107885947Well vibecoders actually get the shit done meanwhile coders cope and seethe. They won
>>107885947Vibe coders who do nothing but Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V and think of themselves as programmers are the same type of people who thought they're master brewers because they found out they can throw grains in their thermomix and tap on the beer program in their thermomix app. They will move nothing on the grand scale of human history. They're so irrelevant, they won't even be remembered as idiots. Their names won't appear anywhere.
>>107886643>Well vibecoders actually get the shit doneYeah, like implementing that web frontend with all credentials visible in the clear text.
>>107886823Most vibecoders know what they are doing or simply they would ask their AI to solve any problems. Cope
>>107886867If you don't fully understand the code it generated, you won't recognize subtle errors that make it trivial to exploit. And the effort to review AI code is significant so nobody does it.
At this point I think the newer models are smart enough that if you ran like 100 thousand instances of them for long enough you could achieve AGI in a year or so.They're not even more intelligent than a junior engineer, but the issue is that the average person can do very little real intellectual work over the course of a lifetime. LLMs are like if you took an immortal halfwit and forced it to take Adderall until it wrote you Shakespeare. I guess it's happening just like AI 2027 lol.
Except God will intervene with some bullshit slowdown like a Taiwanese tsumani or a coronal mass ejection or COVID 2 or some shit because we are meant to rot and wither away instead of living in peace and abundance
>>107885054>Believe me, if these 100,000 brainless creatures talk to each other for a year, they will create a super intelligent, super human brain!Ants did that, not for a year, but for millions of years. That super intelligent ant-human still didn't appear.Maybe you should stop sitting in mommy's basement, talking to ChatGPT all day and start going outside, looking at some trees.
>>107885054>if we just spend all the worlds capital superheating the earth, this next-word-predictor script will become a real boyNo it wont anon. The literal world experts who have spent their entire lives on this stuff say that LLMs are a dead end in the pursuit of AGI.
>>107886852Ants are more prolific than humans and dwell in their abodes for free, so who is actually winning, endoboy?
>>107886885Oh, and I forgot, ants are also smarter than humans at some tasksNot looking too good for verteniggers

Feels nice using a real switch after enduring scratchy wobbleshitall the elites use MX Blacksthey are fucked in the head
Anon that asked for speediest switches here.I went with a low profile HE keyboard. Yeah HE is indeed an big meme but I wanted to adjust the actuation points of just the outer keys which I press with my pinky so I don't feel as much strain. It's a pretty nice feature for that purpose specifically and it makes COLEMAK actually fun to use now.Low profile was definitely the way to go, it's speedy because the physical travel distance is smaller and I can still mash down on the keys. It's also not as loud as my old keyboard.
>>107885822Hell yeah
I think my keyboard sounds better when I take the top casing off

I need to buy a new fridge with a freezer on the bottom. What brand do you recommend if reliability and long lifespan is the main priority above all? Don't suggest me french door, side-by-side fridges, I'm looking for something like picrel but probably taller.

on Linux you can transfer flatpak folders and it works, but no chance in hell syslibraries could move like that. My flatpak of minetest and gimp 304 got transported across machines that way. But they needed several folders in /lib/flatpak/app not just one

>>107882179You know what grinds my gears? You can't make a proper PCI card without applying to the PCI Consortium for their specs, it's some kind of packetized garbage. In the 8- and 16-bit era, and even into the 32-bit era, you could rig up an expansion card easily because you simply talk to the bus when it's your turn on that channel or whatever the particulars are.Modern computing is so gay that NOBODY can just make a PCI-e card without special permissions and a tip and Thank Yew.
