Even good programmers create vulnerabilities that they would not have created in a safer language
I don't know of any nontrivial C or C++ projects that manage to 100% avoid these problems without formal verification (which is the ultimate in not trusting the programmer)

>zig
into the trash it goes...
why would you write something critical like a display manager in a forever-pre-alpha language? we're closer to zig being abandonned than from 1.0, the main dev is too retarded to design a language and make stupid decisions after stupid decisions, why would you doom a project by using this language lmao...
just use C or C++ like a normal person, we have trillions of tools to write memory and thread-safe code, fucking use them instead of wasting time with shitlang#323286
>>
>>107730095
>The dev made GPU screen recorder, he's at least somewhat competent. Also AI barely even works for Zig because the language changes so much and the new features aren't in LLM's training data.
now i am not trying to arge or shit, i am am honestly trying to learn, but wouldnt that instability of the language be really bad for a project like this?

I wasn't a big fan of computer nerds in the 00s but they're so much worse now that they do this thing where they pretend to be a girl IRL because they played as one for 5000 hours in video games and it aroused them
>>
>>107731900
Something I am very grateful for is my thousands of hours AI genning women's faces, thousands of hours watching porn, and constant exposure to "pretty faces" through social media. I am totally desensitized to normal girl faces now, and especially "conventionally beautiful" ones. I see all the simping over any and every dime-a-dozen non-fat (sometimes fat, even) woman as the farce that it is. It's a freedom I couldn't have dreamed of when I was a young lad.

I can still be partial to a foid, but with an awareness that I am fond of a simple creature, a mere woman, who has no special claim on my affections except that I offer them freely and willingly for my own sake or for God's.

Yeah no. There would be practically nothing left of the original code. Might as well just start from scratch, about all you could keep from the original code is the UI. And even that is pretty questionable, it uses incredibly over-engineered MFC nonsense.

very nice OP, amazing work
several years ago i became interested in how smudging worked and tried to implement some virtual "brush tools" in graphicsmagick. after much trial and error i found the right formula to make a smudge tool simulator happen (you would define the size of the brush and provide an x,y array to define the path the brush would take), i ended up losing the code but found a couple of screenshots, it felt like such an accomplishment lol. it is very cool seeing what you did with paint b/c i didn't even know you could modify the program itself, so i am blown away

Is a Gemini pro subscription worth it for IT related tasks? Copilot can be half decent at basic troubleshooting but if you ask it to create a template for a config file it will shit out three wrong files, each one having a different syntax/logic fuckup.

Keep spreading misinformation because I have sideloaded on iOS for so long and know it always breaks at some point because apple will shut it down every now and then. It's always been that way. Sideloading has always been a bitch on iOS and still is. What works now and seems to be flawless will stop working out of nowhere at some point. Always the same shit with apple. Always a new shill who don't know what they talk about trying to groom new users with lies

You can go to YouTube and find so many videos of people installing sidestore and altstore without a PC successfully and running IPA files successfully and the most recent video was posted yesterday showing it still working and it's still working for me at the moment. Instead of attacking me and trying to insult me why are you not capable of having an intellectual discussion? Why am I posting links with videos and proof and you're over here spewing your opinions instead of facts? Is that how you have a tech discussion with people here bro?

xD

How can you realistically get hacked from using an outdated OS if you're behind a firewall? All those meme vids of "computer hacked after 10 seconds of connecting XP to the internet" involve turning off he firewall, from what I heard. If the firewall is on what is the realistic attack vector where you get hacked because of an unpatched weakness in the OS? Outdated browser maybe, but that goes for any OS. Is browser security worse on an outdated OS?

>Is browser security worse on an outdated OS?
If anything, browser security is better on Windows XP than any modern OS due to outdated root certs causing HTTPS to fail thus making pretty much the entire internet non-functional.
There's ways to manually update the certs, and if you wanna install Windows Updates you'll need to do it, but for offline stuff it's mostly unnecessary.

Finally moving on from my iPhone SE 1st gen. Going Android. Are there any decent phones out there that aren't FUCKING HUGE? i.e. 5" or less.
