Is there any /g/ guide for a beginner who wants to design PCBs?

Good intros? Not really, because if you are building something more advanced than a toy, you kinda have to be a jack of many trades. Lots of knowledge of math, circuits, parts, emc, rf, signal integrity, simulation and measurement tools, interaction with software, safety requirements, fabrication, etc is required, There is a reason why this is done professionally by engineers. I am in the business for more than a decade and can tell you without watching it, that the design in the Op is not good and is needlessly expensive for example.

If I were to recommend someone it would be Rick Hartley, he teached me so many things with his lectures.

we live in anarcho-tyranny. immigrants don't have a license. they do not get charged with crimes. they receive free welfare on your dime to buy nice cars. the police only act when a white person files taxes wrong or defends their life against a 3rd world attacker.

The city is the accuser. You've spouting sovcit nonsense.
The city operates a system, involving both humans and automated processes, that results in handing out these citations. The city is accusing you of violating a state law, or bylaw, and it has whatever evidence it has (digital and physical evidence, eye witness testimony, procedural testimony documenting the system itself and its reliability, etc...).
In court, you can challenge the evidence. You can present evidence that contradicts the digital or physical evidence. If it was a parking ticket handed out by a bylaw officer, you can attempt to subpoena the officer to support the ticket (but many courts allow an officer's notes to be submitted directly as evidence, while accounting for the fact that the absence of the officer as witness impacts the credibility of the testimony). If you believe there are procedural or systemic failures that affect the credibility of the case, you can attempt to subpoena the municipal staff to testify about the procedures (again, you need to prove to the court that you aren't bullshitting though).

Again, you are acting like a sovcit legal bullshitter. Our courts actually work quite well, and if you are a sovcit bullshitter trying to subpoena the traffic camera company itself based on your conspiracy theory nonsense, while the city has submitted 30 pages of documentation on how the camera works, what certification criteria were used, and the fact that the camera was last serviced and calibrated 60 days ago in line with the certification requirements, then the judge is going to tell you to go fuck yourself.
But if you had an expert witness, who reviewed the 30 pages of documentation and testified to material errors in the process, then, yeah, the city better bring the company in to testify because otherwise that ticket is getting spiked, with adverse precedent for future cases.
>>
>>107715068
>Do you really live someplace that show up with a handful of tickets every month? How the fuck do you still have insurance? ..You DO have insurance like a white person should, right?
I have never had a citation from the city, for any matter.
The reason I know about the office that allows for contesting citations outside court is because I follow municipal politics here very closely, and a journalist here prepared a bunch of graphs documenting the city's citation office procedures and the various quantities of tickets issued and cancelled by the office, across a variety of categories. Because I give a shit about our municipal government and pay for local journalism to cover these things.
And, get this, the reason the city runs this office is because court is also expensive for the city! So offering a way to mediate tickets without going to court gives the city to withdraw tickets that would be less likely to succeed in court and waste the city's money paying staff to show up. And it reduces the number of citizens who go to challenge tickets in court, because sometimes having a face-to-face with a human being to explain the ticket and why it was issued means the citizen decides it's not worth fighting.

"The city" isn't some abstract entity that spits out bylaws and traffic tickets and property tax assessments. It's humans working to make living together better for everyone. People who want a city with good roads, safe for drivers and pedestrians, properly maintained and paid for. You can meet those humans! You can talk and interact with them, by sending emails, making phone calls, scheduling meetings in person. You probably have elected officials who are eager to meet with you, if you're someone who gives a shit about politics, because clearly you're a voter and they want your vote!
Have you ever had a face-to-face meeting with an elected official? I have! Bet you haven't, though, because you're full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

The steam frame is gonna cost like 700 dollars maybe more with the RAM issues going isn't it?

pimax probably BUT if you don't have a 5090 / future PC, just stick to the steam frame.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTUHwUa2QeA
The reason why is because if you had a 5070 TI or something, it will run the pimax crystal perfectly fine.
BUT the steam frame should get even more FPS with foveated rendering + foveated streaming (the affordable pimax crystal 120hz does not have eye tracking, you need the pimax super which has the best resolution you can get, but it's 90hz DSR compressed 75hz if you want uncompressed).
super VR headset (unless you go for the cheap , but... that's assuming the steam frame is $1000~)
https://vr-compare.com/compare?h1=w8xCM-oPA&h2=6nd6PhR_A&h3=F206d3eAD
There is also a oled pimax, either the pimax dream air (and SE) or the classic version, but the pimax oled apparently has a hue to it and the dream strap isn't as comfy or something (I don't own it).
If you want something really bad but also cheap and not meta (meta headsets are fine honestly, it has games at least). You could go with the PSVR 2. It's actually awful compared to a quest 3 headset (Not the 3s, the psvr2 has a really tiny sweet spot and it makes quest displays look like OLED), but if you could find it for $100-200 used, it can't be that bad (it does need an adapter for PC).
If you want VR chat, the meta quest pro is the best option (it's discontinued, but it's still really good because it has eye and face tracking). BUT, I am a doomer and think the steam frame is $1500 (and the steam index will continue to be sold on the store for at least 3 more years). If I am wrong, and it's $1000 or less, it makes the quest pro look ~meh.

My PSU died recently after ~11 years, I thought it was a bit strange given that a Gold Seasonic PSU shouldn't crap out right after the warranty is up and the other older components are still fine, but since 11 years is a long time I let it go

Then recently another PC in my building had a Gold Corsair PSU die after just 2 years, way before the warranty was up, I thought that was really strange, could it be that the fact my building started getting lots of power outages recently be wearing out these PSUs much faster than they'd usually last? Is a UPS the only way to get around it?

So I just need to do basic tasks like listen to music, stream video, and browse basic websites. Is installing windows 2000 a bad idea? How fucked will I be for drivers?

The reason I want to do this for one, it's botnet free, and two it was the most streamlined of classic operating systems. I really have a boner for Windows 2000 and I just want to know if it's even moderately viable to use in this day and age.

Ah thats what you meant. Usually speedtest. I did upgrade my main PC to be on ethernet instead of wifi with this LAN restructure, but they have the same speeds as far as rated mbps goes (1Gbps)

I did more testing after both your replies and it seems that my default server selection is driving the change currently, but doesn't explain how I've never seen that kind of speed before when running tests.

Server A thats about right in my city runs 470~, whether my PCs ethernet is directly plugged to my DMZ router or my Router2.
Server B thats about 2 hours away, runs 900+ in this case behind Router2 on ethernet.

I reran the tests on wifi, behind my Router2. Achieved 400~ to server A, and 630~ to server B. Never gotten that high on wifi before, its never peaked above 450 to any server on wifi.

At this point I have no fucking clue and I cant be fucked to keep testing since my brain is hurting
>>
>>107715459
>ethernet instead of wifi
Ah that explains it. Wifi is shit. Even in the best of real world conditions you'll rarely see anywhere near the full speed actually coming through even if the spec is theoretically capable of multigigabit.
>>
>>107715475
Thats what I would have figured, but considering my wifi is now better than before I swapped, im still unsure.

Either way that begs the question, does my ISP actually care that I'm getting double what I'm paying for now on ethernet? I sure as fuck wont say anything to them
>>
>>107714927
even then you just copy the torrent files, config files, and data to the new setup.
>>
>>107706943
I know this is a noob question but I've actually never done it before I built this server. Going to upgrade my server with some NVMe drives. Can I just toss them in the mobo, restart, and have access to them? They're going to be in a new ZFS pool.

Not really sure what your use case is, but having all the project related info in the project management system is fine. If the only thing you take notes on is projects why not keep it there?
You can have TWO systems, one for your notes and one for project related items.
Obsidian is very Cope tier for: To-do, project management, notes with drawings.
Its good at notes, and if you wanted to make your notes a searchable database for SQL enjoyers who cannot get enough of it at work.

It didn't, last I tried it. But I just checked the site and it apparently was just added.

The thing with Logseq is: Why use it when you can just use Obsidian? The only claim it has is that it's open-source and not proprietary (IIRC) but it's so much slower in getting features and competing with Obsidian that you're better off just using Obsidian unless you're a Stallman-type.
>>
>>107715959
Obsidian having files be the basic unit sucks, I would much rather have paragraphs be the basic unit which I think both logseq and notion do
