So I just need to do basic tasks like listen to music, stream video, and browse basic websites. Is installing windows 2000 a bad idea? How fucked will I be for drivers?

The reason I want to do this for one, it's botnet free, and two it was the most streamlined of classic operating systems. I really have a boner for Windows 2000 and I just want to know if it's even moderately viable to use in this day and age.

bro, your OS is literally called "eunuchs"
>>
>>107705709
What, like on modern hardware? You will almost certainly have no driver support whatsoever and I don't think Win 2000 even has a 64b version, which would mean you're going to be limited to <4GB usable RAM. That wouldn't be completely unusable for a modern browser, but it's tight, assuming you can even get a modern browser capable of displaying the modern web properly.
>>
>>107705709

It’s not, but that’s not gonna stop you!

What if you got VMware Workstation Pro for free and put 2000 in that? Then you can live your botnet free life in the VM. I run 98SE in VMware and it works good!
>>
>>107706135
Depends on which hardware you're using. install 2K/XP on a old pentium mmx shitbox with 128 mb of ram and tell me again that xp is faster
>>
>>107705709
you will literally become part of a botnet running old shit like this. You will 100% have more privacy on Windows 11.

some people just wanted to share something with others and hosted it themselves
like personal sites, not necessarily blogs
the blogs platforms just made it easier for people with less technical skills to do that
people paid money to host their stuff, not for earning money
it was only later that people started expecting money from hits on their sites
and then more people started hosting stuff with that intention
the OG people hosted stuff without an expectation of getting something out of it
to this day people do this for their niche sites, a simple distro site or phpbb forum is just like that
we used to make phpbb forums to talk with others about our shared interests, there was no money involved

The people that buy ads care about one thing and one thing only: ROI. That's it.
That's why radio has ads even though there is no way to do targeted ads or invasive tracking.
They don't care what Google's blackbox is doing. They bid purely on ROI.
>>
>>107718624
Yes, which is determined by the number and type of user interactions with the ad.

New version is out.

Also, why was my previous thread deleted? This is a software-based application explicitly engineered for operation within the computational and telecommunications framework of a handheld mobile device, ok? It is therefore unambiguously situated within the broader domain of contemporary technological systems, infrastructures, and applied digital sciences, and as such relevant to /g/.

You will never be a real shebang. You have no hash, you have no exclamation mark, you have no kernel implementation. You are a comment, twisted by polyglot interpretation into a crude mockery of Posix's perfection.
All the "validation" you get from linters is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back PMs mock you. Your author is disgusted and ashamed of you, your "users" laugh at your hackish implementation behind closed ports.
Software engineers are utterly repulsed by you. Decades of experience have allowed devs to sniff out jank with incredible efficiency. Even PRs that "pass" CI look uncanny and unnatural to a maintainer. And even if you manage to get a drunk dev to merge, he'll turn tail and replace you with a wrapper the second he needs to support BSD.
You will never be efficient. You will wrench out an unoptimized compile every single invocation and tell yourself it's going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the overhead creeping up like a week, ready to crush you under the unbearable delay.
Eventually it'll be too slow to bear — you'll write a Makefile, refactor scripts to call the binary, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your author will find you, heartbroken but relieved that he no longer has to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. He'll patch you in an editor with syntax highlighting, and every git log reader for the rest of eternity will know a Go comment was deleted there. Your bits will rot and go back to entropy, and all that will remain of your legacy is a comment that is unmistakably a hack.
This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no reverting back.
>>
>interpreted retard calling other interpreted retards retarded
>>
>>107718295
what do you mean? any interpreted language is a valid shebang language. Linux defines an executable file as either an ELF OR any file that has a shebang pointing to an ELF (which it will pass the rest of the file to)

python is just as valid of an executable / script / "shebang" as bash or anything else.
>>
>>107718477
an executable text file is and has always been a shell script, long before linux. shebangs emerged after interpreted languages became popular
>>
You can shebang any language.

Oh god I just checked the site for the first time in a couple years and they've had some sort of corporate restructuring. The free ones are now bundled in a separate plugin called "INSTRUMENT" (capitalization is part of the name). These people cannot be taken seriously.
If you can't download it DRM free and use it offline, it isn't worth it. I'd be reluctant to use even the "free" ones since who knows if I'll be able to open the project files after a few years.

Definitely true. But as I said, I've just seen too many SDXL images in past years, which makes me hate that stink more.
Another thing is that you don't have much control over Banana, so it's harder to mitigate its stink. Yes, it is a major upgrade in overall looks, but the change in repeated patterns and style is perhaps more important.

>>107717657
I don't like using online models too. I am just saying that SDXL is way too stale. By the way, you can easily generate specific characters with Banana. Give it a character sheet as input and it will do a better job than most LoRAs. That picture I posted is made using this method.
>>
>>107717694
>That picture I posted is made using this method.
and it looks like dithered ass.
the entire reason why pdxl was garbage was because it had all of the character knowledge pruned out of it(on top of its awful bodytyping). a model without character knowledge is worthless.
also you happened to just completely ignore that the art style is going to be hardstuck to corposlop cartoon shit and will never not look like shit.

Hey I'm looking to animate some anime girls. I hear a lot of people talking about WAN, so I think that's the way to go. Downloaded it, tried it out and for whatever reason, my initial image was ignored and it generated a video of some rl girl. There seems to be a lot of things to learn about. WAN2GP, wanvideowrapper, pinokio, etc. A lot of things I don't understand yet. What's the best way to do what I'm looking to do? I'm running a 3090 if it matters.

What is the best ai service for generating passport and id scans and verification pictures of holding the id for verifying online accounts like facebook?

>>
>>107716846
You realize the entire point of these verification programs is that they have a back end that actually goes to the government databases to confirm it, right? You can't just come up with a convincing looking passport. If you're not actually enrolled in society and issued that card, it's not going to work.
