NEWS>somebody submitted a huge PR to fix all the issues with 10.11 and it is being reviewed as of a few hours ago!https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/pull/15986

>>107856915>10.11.3, guess that explains itWhy not update to 10.11.5? Do you just like bugs?
>>107856962I almost never update my docker stuff to avoid shit breaking
>>107856953You do know, that releases aren't always the most updated things to download, right?
how do I make jellyfin's android auto music feature not shit?the android auto app doesn't have the favourite/like icon in the player UI, so when I stick the whole category on shuffle it becomes much harder to sort what I liked onto playlists later. The startup time and navigation to the music category takes ages.Bluetooth audio in the car never works unless the app has been focused recently. No it's not a power saving mode issue. VLC pretty much auto-plays whatever it loaded last even if I last used it months ago.Sometimes it refuses to shuffle-play an album due to a data error, but if I select the first song in an album, then toggle shuffle mode on, it works fine. When do I just swap to a whole different app?

You should close browser tabs when you're done with them. If you want to quickly get back to where you were, there is a separate technology for that: bookmarks.
>>107857865this desu
>>107857865Why not just open your bookmarks and open those sites you were interested enough to bother saving?
>>107857888because then I need some convoluted system of>to be read>in progress>read but good enough to keep>check for updates every now and thenI only use bookmarks for the last two groupseverything else is either in progress of being read or to be read
just use brave™ vertical tabs
>>107857865I think the real problem is browsers don't streamline bookmarks like they do with tabs.>close browser>automatically bookmark all your tabs into folders sorted neatly from last visited tab>open browser>reopen bookmarks into tab from last session I don't know, just seems silly how the end game for tabs was to copy what boomarks had already done for the past 20+ years. Meanwhile with bookmarks, you could always organize them into folders, tag them, rename, drag and drop, and even back them up far better and easier than tabs or at least back in the old days. I remember one wrong crash back then and your tabs were fucked(Probably still the same today).

>Oh fuck yeah I'm going to install Bazzite straight away to run my favorite containers!! I'm literally so excited to run containers you guys, containers are my favorite software to use, God I fucking love containers. Why is this a selling point for an operating system? Who is actually outright ENTHUSED about containers when they could just be running regular bloat-free software?
>>107856200They do run either Ubuntu, Debian, Alpine or RHEL. But they run it in the form of a docker container.
>>107849425nix or guix package managers. They can be installed on top of other distros and don't conflict with the host OS. They install packages and all of their dependencies in an isolated directory and through fancy symlink trickery and hashed execution paths, they ensure that each software you install uniquely relies on its dependencies. In other words, each package is installed in a way where any dependent build/runtime packages are installed alongside it, but only that application can access those specific dependencies. This allows you to do things like have multiple versions of the same software because all dependencies for that software are uniquely referenced.
>>107857306So it's kind of like a purpose built VM specifically set up for running something except you're not emulating hardware?
>>107858100Pretty much. You're only "emulating" the software, which is just the environment within which your application is running. It's similar to running games in WINE/Proton, or having an application installed in Termux or WSL, or running an application inside your web browser instead of downloading the desktop version.

I've owned three different Pyle desktop amps that all have similar problems. All of them blast static when the volume knob is moved near the low end. Two of them have dead or partially dead right channels. Two of them have the grounding jackets pulled off the RCA connectors. All of them have the RCA connectors too close together for the backshells on a lot of RCA cables. Needless to say I'm done with Pyle. I really like their designs but their quality is shit. What's the poorfag upgrade from Pyle that doesn't completely suck?I want:>smol (under 3.5" tall)>RCA inputs>banana jack outputs>6.5mm headphone jack>volume knobThat's it. No Bluetooth or USB any other modern bullshit.
>>107855830Depends on your power needs. The Aiyima A07 is a budget classic. Get the bare Amp and buy a high quality 48V PSU with at least 5A like Mean Well.
>>107858199im gonna get a shirt that says TOP UNC
>>107855830>>6.5mm headphone jackForget about that. It's just a resistor tacked onto the rest of the Amp. It's cheap and shit.

>>107857481>Make a logical 8TB disk out of the 4>Raid1 it with the 8TB HDDBoom. Technical horrors beyond human comprehension.
>>1078349962.5gb or 5gb is a lot cheaper so maybe do that?i mean i do enjoy seeing a freshly ripped bluray being send to the server at 1.2GB/s, pool itself can write at 2GB/s if necessary. but if i'm honest, it's not that useful outside big file transfers. you'll be limited by io on small files 9 out of 10 times, in which case even 5Gb would be overkill.
>>107857639No I have to pick one or the other, I don't have the space for both. I can free up one or the other out of my current disks.A new hard drive is expensive in my cunt. A good NAS/Enterprise 8TB HDD is about 270 USD. Not prepared to buy an extra one atm.
>>107857639>Technical horrors beyond human comprehension. That's already covered by SMR RAID
>>107857741Like, you could use three of the 2's and the 8 if they're all in full sized slots. You only need 5.2TB anyways. If that doesn't work for you I'd say use the 2.5" disks and look keep an eye out for a good deal on a used 8TB disk to set up a mirror later on.

>>107857235>What is the best way to learn Python
>>107857235I'm currently doing a course on freecodecamp I've learnt bits and pieces from languages over the years but I would never call my self a programmer. They have a python certification course it's pretty good can be a bit annoying because you have to write the code to get the lab to pass so it has to be written the way they want it regardless of functionality so you spend a lot of time formatting. So far I enjoy it but I do get annoyed at myself for not understanding and for forgetting syntax but I need to work on that just gotta stick with it. It is good to learn or relearn fundamentals as they can be used with any language not just python. You should give it a whirl.

It's time to mobilize and make sure the Apple Board of Directors know we want Craig Federighi as the next CEO of Apple. Tim Cook is stepping down latter this year.IOS/Mac OS 26 has been a flop; Apple's software is stale. Apple needs an engineer as it's CEO; Apple can save consumer software and make it exciting again. Craig is eccentric and exciting just like Steve Jobs was.Don't put a soulless MBA bean counter as Apple's next CEO that will shove LLMs down our throats.
>>107857044I concur.Mostly because he like to play around in the Apple Keynotes and WWDC, which is one of the reasons to why I watch it. And I like his hair.....Actually, I don't really know what Craig does....so that's really the only reason why I want him as CEO.
