I think it's due to AI, people were using VPNs to scrape data to feed their AI. Which causes a bunch of problems for servers

Well even with a super cheap Schuko plug that just straight up won't happen. the socket itself provides the stability for the plug to not break off.
Sure, my adaptor wasn't made well enough, but still, It's a shitty design to have the prongs visible when plugging it in and you know it.

Britain is the only country with safe electrics. Even with 16A breakers, you are still not safe, because small appliances like table lamps have cables which cannot take 16A. In the uk small appliances have 3A fuses.

that's probably just in HDR mode displaying HDR content. It'll get nowhere near that bright in anything else, in fact it'll be programmed in the firmware to never get anywhere close to that bright with any other content. Even then that HDR Peak Brightness will only cover a fraction of a fraction of the actual panel.

I think this really IS a bubble because their leaps are getting smaller and smaller

It was always a retarded grift for them to say "AGI is two years away" when it always depended on new breakthrough discoveries which are by definition unpredictable. It reminds me of how some nuclear scientists 50 years ago thought fusion generators were only a few years away because they had mastered fission and fusion was the next logical step so how hard could it really be?

>So basically the opposite of rtings graph expectations.
Their measurements are often not very accurate. Their FT1 Pro graph is completely different from the one solderdude posted, for example. I don't know what rig they use for it but it's probably just not a very accurate model.
>Thanks, +3dB at 2500 helped a lot, with it claps and snaps sound snappy, and multiple female vocals with different lines over each other are more distinguishable.
NP. If something sounds too sharp with this EQ you can try putting another high shelf filter at 10k or above and lowering it by the amount you boosted the treble with in the previous filter. Since generally boosting things >10k can lead to sharpness and you can't measure that area of the FR accurately.

if you buy used make sure you can test them before buying, never order an ANC online
source: I've owned many ANC headphones (starting with the QC35) and now only buy the cheapest shit in existence to drown my surrounding noise and stopped caring about quality because I live in a humid area (next to the sea) and the microphone corrosion inevitably causes major ANC misshaps (worse and worse white noise / when they reach what I call "terminal stage" they end up randomly producing bursts of painful noises and I can only live with ANC disabled and order new ones)
I wouldn't trust the state of a used pair desu considering what happened to mine
>>
>>107585090
>Their FT1 Pro graph is completely different from the one solderdude posted, for example. I don't know what rig they use for it but it's probably just not a very accurate mode
solderdude's is the least accurate of all measurement rigs. it's a flatplate and doesn't match the acoustic impedance set out in the standard
rtings uses the 5128 so measurements might seem a bit off, but generally they are among the best in terms of measurement quality. i have more faith in oratory1990's results but i've seen what they do over at rtings and it's solid
>>
>>107584797
Might be due to the ~3 kHz peak masking some of the higher frequencies. Have you tried the Oratory preset?
>>
>>107583978
I don't know your use case but I have owned these headphones for about six years (XM3).
They're comfortable and the noise cancelling is good on them.
However, I would argue that they actually sound pretty bad. Going back to them from modern equipment, they sound muddy. You can kind of equalize them with the Sony app to get them to sound a little better but it's still not good.
I would actually look at IEMs that have decent passive noise isolation. It's actually sort of unbelievable the quality you can get under $50.
For reference, my current setup is the Moondrop Aria and Sennheiser HD 560s.

I think the trial was a one time thing and I've already used it back when NBP was launched. GPT 1.5 is actually perfectly usable on lmarena today, even if you don't have almost two dozens of alternative OAI accounts, it's NBP that is being a pain. Things are getting much better now though, probably because of time zones...
>>107584384

I've not seen that cartoon to be honest, I had to catch up. Not a great fan of turning into an external entity what is essentially a human phenomenon (i.e. externalisation). But I guess it might be psychologically more desirable for mass-media than indicting people directly, though. It's one thing that emerged in the last few years, between many others; people don't like self-flagellation, on the whole.
>>107585896
Did you solve it, anon? Making another account would be the quickest way to find it out obviously, I've never had this issue (and I triggered the violation of TOS quite often, albeit it's usually without a reference picture).
>>
>>107586074
I'm able to attach images, but now it seems to be blocking a prompt that used to work hours ago even if I don't try to attach a second explanatory image it didn't like (I must've gotten ~30 errors trying to send variations of the second image).
>>
>>
>>107586125
That sounds unlikely to be an account-specific issue, albeit it doesn't hurt to try, probably the prompt got flagged together with that picture? lmarena can be quite strict in bizarre ways, sometimes just changing stuff like "embracing" into "hugging" can work, but other times I have no real idea what their filter is even looking for and I'd rather prompt stuff directly in the model's official service or in another third party one.

Selfhosted GitHub Actions will become paywalled in 3 months.
Your CI/CD pipeline that runs on your own selfhosted hardware will become a paid feature thanks to M$.

OP here, thanks for the news.
They didn't even bother to write another email clarifying this.
Still our team will switch away from GitHub and use Forgejo and Forgejo Actions instead, we can't trust them anymore.
>“We’re postponing the announced billing change for self-hosted GitHub Actions to take time to re-evaluate our approach.”
So they will proceed to nickel and dime anyway, just with a different strategy.

>>107586188
GitHub reversed its decision for now but I'm sure their internal teams saw the numbers and thought that the number of businesses using selfhosted runners is high enough to justify charging for this feature without losing many customers.
