How do kde users manage their dotfiles? I find that a lot of kde config files keep not just configuration but also state, so they keep changing all the time, and may contain stuff I don't want to have on github. Similarly, sometimes the *current* defaults of a certain setting are stored there, when I don't want them to - if I've not changed the setting, I want the setting to be able to change with future changes to the defaults.

Right now I keep a few handcrafted kde dotfiles that I copy manually into the user's config dir, where kde can clobber them to its will. Managing this is a pain, however, so I'd love to know what other people do.

Do people use a script with kwriteconfig6? That'd be more like my windows settings script, which is somewhat manageable but hard to make sure I've not forgotten to record some setting I changed. Does home-manager help with this?

Why did I do this?
I traveled by bus many times during my Masters degree and was surprised at how little people chatted in the bus. I've always felt particularly hopeful and energetic about us humans. I also noticed that many people near me spend too long pursuing some of those needs unnecesarily.
