4chan boards have too many pages.

4chan lost over a third of its traffic since 2022, yet the boards are still the same size.
This results in threads taking longer to slide off.
Which also results in a single schizo being able to keep ten threads alive with ease. He can even sleep for 8 hours and his schizo threads will still be there when he wakes up, ready to get bumped.

If you ever felt that 4chan only consists of a few schizos posting the same things 247, this is one of the reasons.
>>
Slower generals like /wdg/ and /dmp/ which are barely hanging on would cease to exist.
>>
>>107556998
If you want to know the result of that you may refer to >>>/gif/, which is to say you will filter the boards to everyone but the schizos/trolls/paid shills/bots that post 24/7

>He can even sleep for 8 hours and his schizo threads will still be there when he wakes up, ready to get bumped

How do kde users manage their dotfiles? I find that a lot of kde config files keep not just configuration but also state, so they keep changing all the time, and may contain stuff I don't want to have on github. Similarly, sometimes the *current* defaults of a certain setting are stored there, when I don't want them to - if I've not changed the setting, I want the setting to be able to change with future changes to the defaults.

Right now I keep a few handcrafted kde dotfiles that I copy manually into the user's config dir, where kde can clobber them to its will. Managing this is a pain, however, so I'd love to know what other people do.

Do people use a script with kwriteconfig6? That'd be more like my windows settings script, which is somewhat manageable but hard to make sure I've not forgotten to record some setting I changed. Does home-manager help with this?
>>
>>107553415
my dwm never crashed and it never really had any issues. It just works, same for i3 and xfce4. Why do people use kde?

>nursing
Is this a joke?
Most who get into nursing do so because they care about the wellbeing of others, and the healthcare sector is fully aware this so they're always trying to take advantag of it for the sake of cost cutting. eg.
>hiring an inadequate number of staff because they know you'll work harder to cover the shortfall, pushing nurse:patient ratios ever higher
>rampant wage theft by the way of nurses working tons of unpaid overtime
>hiring immigrants or the underqualified in order to suppress wages, because nurses value their job satisfaction and will just work harder to pick up the slack
/g/ complains about Pajeets flooding the tech industry and being mostly terrible at their jobs, but it's more or less the same that's occuring with hospitals and nursing home staffing (alternatively, the ones that get a visa but can't afford a bridging course or who don't have any relevant qualifications often become unqualified carers).

Do not become a nurse for the money, as with anywhere at the moment management are crooked and it's a breakneck race to the fucking bottom.

There's too many people in the world. Plagues and wars were actually good because they kept human value inflation low. Back in the day companies had to scout fresh grads from universities to get fresh talent, the internet had a role in screwing up that too but the point stands. In 30 years the US population went from 249million to 342million. The whole world went from 5.2bn to 8.2bn. If you die today there's thousands of people ready to take your place and it'd be like nothing happened, that's why you feel worthless. The solution? No idea, I don't blame those neetmaxxing.

dev:: anon

link:: https://deep-union-web.vercel.app/
repo:: https://github.com/fernandoaestrella/deep-union-web
progress:: Built a matching tool that allows you to match on 7 dimensions of needs
"deep union web" is a web tool that facilitates requesting and offering generic help from nearby people that you may not even know yet. It does so by gathering your requests, offers, generic visual appearance and coordinates. Both the requests and offers are in these 7 dimensions: Preservation, Gratification, Definition, Acceptance, Expression, Reflection, Knowledge. You could consider them as increasingly subtler needs. Then users can find each other in a map, see what they match in, and if they decide to approach, they can see how others have visually described themselves and where they are (i.e. the selected user is 0.03 km North).

Feel free to use it as an icebreaker, to improve relationships, or to grow your network in a targeted manner!

Why did I do this?
I traveled by bus many times during my Masters degree and was surprised at how little people chatted in the bus. I've always felt particularly hopeful and energetic about us humans. I keeps me going joyfully and smoothly. I noticed that people naturally had many needs and many skills or resources that they would love to share. I also noticed that many people near me spend too long pursuing some of those needs unnecesarily. So this was my effort in making other needs more explicit and to facilitate deeper conversations with people nearby.

The first really valuable uses of this kind of app may be in circumstances where people already feel some trust with those around them (retreats, company, family, friends, etc.).

I used to type quick two handed, not the proper method but heavily biased to two fingers each hand

>and gonna enter my master's afterwards
I was going to ask how good your grades are, but since you're planning to do a master's after, they're probably good enough.
I assume you're doing fine.
In college, you learn "how to learn". As well as some general basics that will make it easier to learn more of your field in the future. You don't really learn what you need for a job.
>Do you know what a hash is?
>Do you know how a for loop works?
>Do you have an approximate understanding of the fact that "your CPU has little building blocks in it that sum / multiply numbers on a bit level"?
>Do you know what an object or class is?
>Have you tried using a pointer before? Pointers are kinda hard to "get", but you should at least approximately know what it is
>Do you know that "information" is stored inside of data, and it's actually possible to somehow calculate how much "information" is inside of something, and how dense the information is? You don't need to be able to calculate it, just know about the fact that it exists
>Do you know that wifi routers send electromagnetic waves
These are the kinds of "basics" you actually should have in your head after a bachelor's. If you got decent grades on top of that, you're good.
Just need to convince someone to actually hire you after college, so you can start collecting REAL work experience. For that, read "cracking the coding interview", you can find it for free online and it's /g/ approved
