I'm curious what the law is on this. If I contest a traffic ticket the cop that issued the ticket has to show up in court with me (most don't bother and that's how I get out of tickets). Are they gonna bring in a terminal with grok or Chatgpt or some shit to make legal arguments against me?

>shopping cart test
the shopping cart test is more like a "how well is this carpark designed" test first and a person test second. In a well designed location where the cart bays are fairly plentiful there's no real reason not to when it's like 15 seconds from your vehicle to any given bay, but when you have to walk several minutes to get to one? fuck that.

this, i live in a hood area and at the low cost grocery store people actually use, people return their carts because the cart carousel is right at the exit and it has a long narrow parking lot near the door so people seem comfortable not using the cart to go the whole way. at the affluent retard grocery store nearby, carts pile up on the "sidewalk" of the parking lot and get abandoned in the parking lot because the cart carousel is in the middle of the lot and it has a handy drive-up inlet lane thing but the lot is a huge square that extends a little further out. same neighborhood, poorfag vs richfag grocers, so you'd expect the opposite. but nah. poorfag grocer gets its carts returned because why would you not when the carousel is RIGHT THERE vs richfag grocer where you have to walk past your car and back to do so so fuck it.

same reasoning as litter and trash cans. if you go "well people are niggers anyway so we wont install/service public trash cans", litter actually increases because the people willing to carry a piece of trash 10 ft don't have a can within 10 ft so they just throw that shit on the ground where normally they wouldn't litter if a Refuse Receptacle is available.

holy shit

I used to use brave but I really don't like the idea of a browser being tied to crypto or these other services. I understand they're trying to 'stay afloat" without funding from google but I really don't think anything they're doing is that special and would require them to have this company or a ton of devs on staff.
A bunch of free-tards could easily do what brave is doing with ungoogled chromium or something, I don't think browsers should be tied to profit motive shit.
I'm hoping ladybird is a success so I can ditch shitzilla too because it's also extremely pozzed and requires you to use something like librewolf (which I am now)

They do look pretty 90s

I think people have too much nostalgia for the old web though. The modern web is objectively better. E.g. if you make a simple responsive website with modern techniques, it will look good on desktop PCs as well as smartphones. Your two webpages there aren't that good for smartphones - the user will have to pinch to zoom a lot.

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

it should be common sense but it isn't. if you've seen people who have their shit together, they don't buy the cheapest laptop because they recognize that it's essentially a scam. you're wasting money on paying for everyone's profit between the manufacturing, logistics, and the retailer while getting very little of substance, just a crappy laptop with bottom of the barrel components. idiots try to cheat their system by saving money on "a laptop" but they're basically shooting themselves in the foot, locking themselves in a virtual prison where they're only allowed to have a crappy laptop. music gear doesn't even go obsolete on the same time scale as laptops, some vintage gear costs as much as a car because it's rare and still useful for musicians. in music you're chasing quite subtle differences between a good performance and a great performance so you should strive to get the best thing and not just what some business bros think is the most profitable for them to market to normies.

Does anyone know anything about Comcast's repeat infringer policy specifically? I've gotten some DMCA notices lately and can't be fucked to get a seedbox/VPN until I have no other choice.

As far as I can tell, the following are true:
>Although nor foolproof, you're significantly, significantly less likely to get a notice if you stop seeding immediately after the download
>I've only gotten notices from Paramount, other companies either don't send them or don't do so very quickly
>Comcast has a nine-tier system, and you only trigger a new tier after getting multiple DMCA notices in a calendar month
>Tiers 1 to 3 or 4 are just emails
>After that, you start getting popups and might have to call Comcast to get them to go away
>Tiers 7-8 shut your internet off for 8-24 hours or until you call them and promise to stop
>Tier 9 gets you a 180-day ban from Xfinity services

I have these questions
1. Can the tier system activate only once a month at the end of the month (the only time I got a tier upgrade/warning email was one time at 10 AM near the end of the month), or can it go up multiple tiers in a single month if you keep racking them up?
2. Do tiers go down if you've stopped torrenting or haven't gotten caught for a few months to a year, or will you go to tier four if you were at tier three and download two torrents four years later?

paramount is the worst. comcast is also my least favorite ISP. those emails are probably sent by an automated system with manual review, and in my experience they don't happen at the same time every month so I'm guessing it's someone approves it and it gets sent out. I've never gotten ones late at night or past "normal business hours", but I only had a string and then got a VPN. I've never seen them go more than once a month, but I think that's a business period thing. I wouldn't doubt that if they get a high volume of complaints, they'd bump you more than one tier in a month. unfortunately I can't give you more than intuition there, but I've had friends who have had theirs shut off after they were torrenting lots of different popular media for their friends. They were getting letters for awhile but it couldn't have been 8 months, more like 3 or 4. So I think the volume of complaints from lots of different companies (and this was back before you saw as much IP hoarding as today) triggered a more severe reaction. But this wasn't with Comcast
>>
>>107716657
Okay, thanks.
Yeah, I think Comcast is more lax than CenturyLink was, which would bump you more than one tier in a month or even a week and almost did shut my internet off permanently.
At least I know when I'm getting close to the line, because I won't be able to do anything else until I call them.
>I'm guessing it's someone approves it and it gets sent out. I've never gotten ones late at night or past "normal business hours"
Yeah, that makes sense. And it's the letters themselves that constitute a tier bump, not the DMCA notices themselves, so it's probably safe to assume they don't bump me up multiple tiers at once without telling me.
