I have like 6 pairs of headphones, all recommended ones that sound "great". Half open ones, big ones, smaller ones (no in ear shit). The thing is, while they sound "good" literally all of them pierce my ears with sharp high frequencies. Even when I tested them in some Hifi shop on a thousands of $$$ preamp. I keep returning to the portas. Most people say they have muddy highs but apparently I'm over sensitive or some shit because while I DO hear what they mean it just sounds soft and comfortable to me. Anybody here try/use Bedrock linux?I've been on Manjaro for a while, but I'm getting the itch to switch distros.Debian's not at the top of my list, but I'd consider it. I refuse to ever use Ubuntu again. (There was some unpleasantness back around '08 and I refuse to ever give them another second of my time.) Nothing really against Mint. I've used it before, though, and it keeps me in the Debian branch, which I'm not very used to. CachyOS is, I guess, catching on for some reason. It's another Arch derivative. Can't be worse than Manjaro. And I'm somewhat used to the Arch ecosystem. But this Bedrock thing seems like a bit of a winner. Doesn't pin you down into any one branch. Plus, as I understand it, I can just install it over top of my existing install, instead of starting over from square one.Anyhoo, just wanted to know if anyone here has experience with it and would/wouldn't recommend giving it a try.>inb4 gentooNo.>inb4 just use ArchThen I might as well stay where I'm at, which I don't want to do.

>>107741958Unless you do lossless encoding (Which no one does, specially YT), uploading at 60 FPS doesn't double your filesize, and if it's just a slideshow, it should be pretty close since you're gonna re-use pretty much the same macroblocks. What surprises me is that 4K isn't a premium feature, I feel that YT could save a lot of money if they only allowed monetized channels to upload 4K, and only YT premium subs to watch it. Realistically speaking, given that most people watch on mobile, you wouldn't really have that much backlash

Every iPhone app to scan or find Bluetooth devices is just a long list of "unnamed" or otherwise unknown Bluetooth devices around me with no helpful info like Mac addresses. >>107745111I don't know if I'd call that a "proper" deinterlacer but it's one of the most popular methods known as Yadif 2x.
To really do it "right" you'd need actually display it as simulated interlaced video instead of deinterlacing. This is possible with modern displays by putting black lines between every line of video, on alternate lines. This will cause a dimming effect, but modern displays have high enough brightness to compensate. My gut says you also need 120hz+ on the display and possibly BFI to do it "right". Or even use something like CRT-Beam-Simulator.
>>107745121The easiest source to find and compare today would be professional wrestling DVDs released in the era before HD. Then compare them to what is available on the Peacock archives. The DVDs preserve the original 480i 60 fields per second temporal quality. The Peacock version will be in 30 frames per second and although the image might be a little sharper, the loss of motion clarity makes it look less alive.
>>107744241>the majority of them have been converted to 60 fps via adding fake frames rather than using an original source.This. Same with old porn, it's always 30fps or ai upscaled and smoothed from 30fps instead of de-interlaced using 60i originals.
