are there standard pins on its board for fans?
>>
>>107580518
If you mean standard like literally the same as on a mobo, no, usually not. Often they do have 4-wire fans but the connector they use is smaller and as such incompatible with regular case fans. You could almost certainly use them with an adapter, but I don't know whether the smaller connector usually found on graphics cards is a standard pinout or not. It would probably need some looking into.
>>
>>107580518
>are there standard pins on its board for fans?
My 3090 needed simple adapters from Ali, but it's pinout is a standard 4-pin PWM. YMMV though, sometimes it's voltage regulated with 3-pin or 2-pin but I don't think the first two pins are ever swapped.

If I ever get a 3D printer I'll make a proper mounting bracket instead of the zip tie hell.

Deadline: 7th of January [revised from late December]

>/g/ makes a 19th album
Theme: [Accepting suggestions]

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

Is anyone else pissed watching this? I am not even a zoomer, I graduated 10 years ago. All the RDBMS modelling stuff I learned was wasted time. It was always senior architects designing microservices and databases, not engineers. By the time you become a senior you will have forgotten everything from that class long ago. Them kids just want to get their degree and get the foot in the door working with some WebDev framework ASAP before AI obliterates whatever junior positions are still left, if any. They know they are FUCKED when they get into the job market, who can blame them for not being motivated to study? Why does that dick who graduated before AI/outsourcing get so personal? He even complains about simple spelling mistakes which only indicate that some of the students did not (only) use LLMs.

So i'm torn between 2560X1080 high settings vs 3413x1440 (DLDSR) DOES USING dldsr on a 1080P makes the image any better? and since i'm running things with a 3060 i might have to use optiscaler, is this 1440P worth the efford of having to use optiscaler every game or should i just stick with 1080P?
>>
>>107580937
Do you use your computer for anything besides gaming? 2560x1080 is pretty sad resolution. Sorta like wider 1080p where fullscreen windows are too much but there is not enough space for 2 normal windows.
>>
>>107581064
nope, just watching movies and videos to be honest.
>>
>>107580937
For the love of everything do not go with 2560X1080, no matter what you do on your PC it is the worst possible option.
Literally go with just 2560x1440 instead of ultrawide at that point or just a regular 1080p monitor.
3060 will do fine with 1440p unless you want to play anything past 2018 on ultra, and DLSS Performance will literally look better on 1440p than 1080p native.

This is the silver lining. A phone should AT MOST have 4GB, with most having 1GB or even less. What the fuck does a phone need 4GB for? Niggercattle taking photos of their food and using whatever shitty social media is in vogue do not need more than 1GB, let alone 4.

Smartphones are devices of pure consumerism for niggercattle, it should be illegal for them to use any meaningful amount of RAM that could be put to use in machinery that does actual work and produces.

81% what? Of downloading the files? Then the problem is your internet not your pc.
Apt doenloads everything it needs before it starts the install so you can kill it and restart. You can rm -rf the cache if you want (just don't delete the folder, only the contents) but it has an integrity check anyway so just restart it and it will keep the packages that are good and redownload the bad ones.

When people like something they are generally outspoken about it.
With ZFS however, it follows people who care (if not paranoid) about integrity and reliability.
Is it wrong to assume people who build NAS and redundant arrays also care for the same?

desu i've seen tons of people who haven't even figured out a basic general purpose for their server but they already somehow intrinsically (and comically) knew they HAVE to start with ZFS/truenas.
at this point it's like a frathouse initiation ritual, just dont worry about it just do it.

thank u anon, it's cozier without the liminal flash.
as for the onkyo reciever, inputs are PC audio sometimes, record player, a two deck onkyo cassette player with recording, and audio from a control panel in another room that is connected to a bunch of different things like vhs player, video game consoles, blu ray player, and then it's outputting to two sets of speakers (the ones in the picture and another pair in a different room)
the usb audio interface next to it pairs nicely too because for example, i can rip good quality FLAC recordings of records or tapes
overall the two cover a lot of ground for my audio needs. i have some better speakers too but they are too big for my apartment and i tend to use headphones for everything to not disturb my neighbors.

It's actually done and not just another vaporware project.

Here's the deal:

E2EE by default. Server is a dumb relay, zero-knowledge on your shit.
Proper crypto. Not just crypto.js from a 2016 tutorial. It uses SRP for auth, X3DH for session init, and Double Ratchet for PFS. If you know, you know.
Multi-device. Keys are deterministically derived from a master seed (BIP-39/DiceKey), so you can get your chats on a new device without scanning a million QR codes.
Burn after reading. Self-destructing messages. Standard stuff.
Time-locked messages. This is the cool part. You can send a message that can't be opened until a specific time. The unlock time is secured by a blockchain timestamp, so you can't cheat it by changing your system clock. It's immutable.
P2P mode. If you can, it goes direct. If not, it uses the relay.

so the messages are time locked by the amount of work needed to grow the blockchain? i see
Couldn't you hack the software to make it set that is_blockchain_old_enough boolean to be true and then have the program progress?
Also messages that are only readable after x date is kinda lame. Messages that are only readable before x date is more interesting
>>
No, it doesn't loop over all the messages.

That would be very inefficient. Instead, we use a special, optimized database index that flags messages with a "time-lock."

Think of it like this: each time-locked message is tagged with the specific block number when it should be unlocked. When a new block is mined, the system simply asks the database: "Give me all messages tagged with a block number that is less than or equal to the current one."

This is a very fast and direct lookup. The server never sees the content of the messages, it only handles the encrypted data and the block number. The actual decryption always happens securely on your own device.

//

If you're not into the code or just don't have the time, you can simply try it out on your phone right here: https://cipher-pulse.onrender.com

//

"so the messages are time locked by the amount of work needed to grow the blockchain? i see

when they stop making consumer stuff, its never coming back. they will 'lose' the molds, the dies, the patterns, the whatever and then the government will give them a nice bailout for being good corporations adhering to the agenda.

Look, the education is already in place to turn people back into mindless peasent/serfs. Each year literacy rates continue to fall. People are getting dumber, objectively, and then retards pretend its because of social media and videogames or inceldom or autism or whatever. But it's baked into the education system to make the lower classes into unthinking tards. And mass adoption of ai, which explicitly does the thinking for you, will make things a million times worse.

You cant view ai through your own perspective. Ai isn't for (you), who grew up in the 'before times'. It's for your kids, and their children. You know, the kinds of people who dont know how to use a can opener or know what a file folder is. They will embrace this garbage and it will be all theyve ever known, and as my favorite black comedian says: all a nigga loves is all a nigga knows and a nigga that dont know much dont grow much.
