VS Code is for wannabees coding up shitty web apps running on layers of frameworks and libraries. Flush it.

I don't get it, why aren't people upgrading your RIG now if you know you'll need to replace it within the next 5 years? Even consoles are going up in price, steam machine is looking to be near $1k and PS5 Pro is $700 for console and prob another $150 for peripherals.

Generational leaps in graphics aren't really gonna happen anymore and the 5090/4090 might last for a decade.

That sir, is one of the retarded niggers that gives money to jufus for his "optimizer course". It never ceases to amaze how this Leaf keeps managing to scam people. He literally tricks people into spending thousands for an "overclocked" 14900K system from him instead of just slotting a faster 9800x3d into a AM5 socket. The argument? its lower latency with better 1% lows. Oh right its got a 10% higher minimum frame-rate in a handful of the worst e-sports games that nobody wants to play like call of faggot.

TAKE tha FREECELL pill. It is excellent MIND conditioning for expansion of pattern spotting and strategy, and working the various components of your outlay around for complex shifts and maneuvers. I think learning moar of the AISLERIOT card games will be one of my primary "NY resolutions" (I don't do those, but this is an actual intended plan).

>TAKE tha FREECELL pill
FREECELL is a card game (picrel).
>It is excellent MIND conditioning
Something that helps orient and prepare one's mind for new abilities/capacities/functions.
>for expansion of pattern spotting
Having a greater capacity/facility for NOOTICING patterns than one had prior to taking said FREECELL pill.
>and strategy
What one is going to DO with/to/as a result of said NOOTICING of said patterns.
>and working the various components of your outlay
You've formulated a STRATEGIC OUTLAY, an overall approach, method, plan for WATDO with that which you see in your task/quest before you. You've spotted various COMPONENTS thereof/therein: you've looked at all of the 52 cards in their sections, spotted all of your ACES, then looked around those and gotten some (likely vague) idea of what "it's going to take" to get to those, and bring everything else inline after them, all considering the hard, non-negotiable factors/rules of the reality you're having to work with/within.
>around for complex shifts and maneuvers.
It's likely not going to be a straightforward, nicely linear progression through the outlay. You're going to have to shift/move components to get to other components, handle those, then handle the ones you shifted, all without rekting yourself from being able to make future movies/shifts that will be needed.
>I think learning moar of the AISLERIOT card games will be one of my primary "NY resolutions" (I don't do those, but this is an actual intended plan).

its something i've been doing lately. It feels pretty clean & it saves a lot of vertical space which is nice but is also feels a bit taboo.
It becomes slighly niggerlicious when you have many statements in the body like
if(x){++x; y = 3; if(x%2) coninue; break;}
but i still think its elegant-ish and if it isn't then you can always break it up into multiple lines at that point.

Also since im making a whole thread feel free to post other taboo coding styles that are actually nice.

I use it sometimes, but I have a strict rule: only if the body is 1 (ONE) statement. Avoids wasting 2 or 3 lines (depending on brace style) for 1-statement functions.

On anything longer, having a newline separating statements feels cleaner and also the overhead of a couple of lines allocated to braces is no longer significant

Given that free GPU drivers only serve to load and interface with non free firmware that runs on your GPU and there being no free GPU firmware in existence, how practical would falling back to software acceleration with todays processor, especially in multi processor machines, be vs GPUs? How many years behind would this put one hardware wise?
>>
>>107703611
About......17 years back in terms of performance, with a current mid to high end CPU.
>>
>>107703611
Your CPU also has nonfree firmware. RMS says that nonfree firmware is fine as long as its fixed, i.e., can't be undated.

Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal

I made a fresh install and I must say that the unattended tool at https://schneegans.de/windows/unattend-generator/ is state of the art comfy.
It deals with 99% of the annoyances of a fresh install and it's reproducible.
It's either this or installing aids and use the chris titus tool to remove it.

Both those tools are buried in the section:
>Should I debloat / build my own ISO?
If you need to ask, then no.
If you know what you're doing:
https://pastebin.com/S5VKBirt

Imo this general should push the users to use these tools because it's either this or getting fucked by 100 small annoyances you need to fix by hand following some pajeet tutorials first SEO link on google.
The "if you know what you're doing" is no longer relevant because you can use these tools while chatting with an AI and get the quick run down of anything not clear.

i just don't like how it like wraps everything in the xml file in single line. i just have an basically empty autounattened.xml file call an install.cmd script that applies the windows image and does all the registry edits that i need. it's easier to edit it that way imo.

I need to setup a lot of piece of shit S-mode Windows computers.
"start ms-cxh:localonly" does not work to skip OOBE when it's in S-mode and forces you to create a bullshit MS account, it's doable but wastes a lot of time.

I've been trying to use "windows configuration designer" to make unattended USB media but it shits itself when applying during OOBE. I'm sure it can be done but I can't find any resources how to properly set it up.

The other tricks to force yourself into the MS store to disable S-mode while in the OOBE are too lengthy to be worthwhile.

Slamming in a clean install isn't worthwhile due to loss of drivers and windows update can't always fix that by itself. Manually downloading them is too tedious.

Got any good suggestions to get past this shit with as little effort as possible?

I don't think you heard me the first time, I pirated windows 10 IOT LTSC. I know you live some worthless life in a gutter but that means that you, some third party developer, HAVE to support me on windows 10 until 2032. microsoft SAID SO. read my lips wagie, WINDOWS 10 IOT LTSC

AVIF can be hardware accelerated so it decodes fast even on a toaster, provided it has AV1 decoding. JXL doesn't have anything like this. So even if JXL is 10% better than AVIF at pictures of tree bark it's not enough to outweigh AVIF decoding at 9,001 MP/s.
>>
>>107702854
you don't need hardware-accelerated decoding for images

Not all phones can software decode AVIF at 100 MP/s. Ignoring the toasters is pretty fucking retarded as far as the possibility of widespread universal support is concerned.

Of course I seriously doubt JXL is going down without a fight and you're gonna cream yourself in the 300+ reply thread boasting about the newly released JXL hardware accelerated decoding.

local log_file = io.open("~/.config/mpv/mpv_urls.log", "a")

mp.add_hook("on_load", 50, function()
local path = mp.get_property("path")
if not path or not path:match("^https?://") then
return
end

local timestamp = os.date("%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S")
local log_entry = string.format("\n[%s] %s", timestamp, path)

The old fan is making a slight rattling noise on startup but it goes away after 5 min. It's spinning at 3000rpm to cool down Athlon x250 which gets hot very quickly during cpu spikes (it shuts itself down at 70C). I'd like to replace it but I can't find any 70mm fans. Is there any CPU fan model (with a heatsink or not) that would fit this old motherboard (released in 2009), if yes then which size should I choose?
