Qualcomm's most advanced ARM chips now rival the performance of the Apple M5. Why hasn't Qualcomm opted to open source the drivers, enabling the creation of robust ARM Linux laptops? Do they have deal with Microsoft?

Too many devs won't click the compile for arm option in Visual Studio so the majority of apps run in emu mode.

so it was watercooled and given 400w. once it lands in an ultralight laptop it'll get maybe half of that performance. they pulled the same shit last release.
>>
>>107739281
you don't understand. there needs to be a demand for ARM based computers. outside of fantasy land and the world of street shitting sex offenders from india using apple products: nobody cares to use them as a desktop or laptop. apple has a fast chip and very few people are actually using it compared to any version of x86. and then you have decades worth of software people need to use that's x86. nobody should be forced to use emulators or binary "translators".

are KOSS headphones any good? or are they influencer slop?

I have KPH30i. Relatively comfortable and punch way above their weight for sound quality.
Are they the best ever? No. But for the price to performance, I would absolutely get another set when my current ones break. They're excellent as a cheap and light thing you can drag around anywhere without worrying.
>>
>>107734191
They're actually good. I don't recall how they became the "TikTok headphones" but the Porta Pro have been around since the 80s and are classics.
The Koss KSC75 are better though, especially if you replace the ear clips with a headband for a few bucks. Slap some Yaxi or knockoff Yaxi pads and you're golden.
>>
>>107734191
They were good cheapies close to 20 years ago.
>>
>>107734191
I bought Koss Porta Pro headphones in the 1990s. My brother "borrowed" them and never returned them so I bought another pair in the late 2000s.

The cable on the new ones I bought was extremely thin and flimsy and broke after just a few months.

I took the pair my brother permanently loaned back when I was visiting him some years after that. Those have a much thicker more solid cable and they still work.

I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING ANYTHING PRODUCED BY KOSS IN THIS CENTURY.
>>
>>107734191
>KOSS
From my experiences they tend to be cold and sterile. KOSS makes headphones for recording studios, not for listening to music. (Of course YMMV)

Have you ever considered the possibility that some day normal consumer won't be able to afford a computer anymore?
With GPU and RAM price increases, this nightmare scenario seems likely.

Wireless Internet connections might also get so full of traffic that one day fast Internet will be a luxury as well.

1. Give people cheap tech so they get dependent on it.
2. When they're addicted, start ramping up the price + scarcity
3. Win

Me? I'm already learning ways to survive without technology. In a few years you might have to live without tech.

I don't buy the "have no time" argument. Anyone who has the time to scroll through tiktok on a daily basis can use that time to learn the basics of something like hosting one's own services instead. The reality is that this kind of thought will never enter most people's minds to begin with.
>>
I'm not going to "live" without anything. If there comes a point that my lifestyle is unsustainable because of the decisions of a bunch of old men in suits then I'm going to make sure I take down as many with me as I can before I die, and I'm sure I won't be the only one. The revolution will be a bloody one.

Yes, it was sold to Softonic in 2019, but no one clicked on their malware links or installed their adware. They sold it a month ago to a "digital specialist who has worked with computers for over six years and is obsessed with PC gaming and AI tools."

Stauton VA is another on the list of cancelling Flock contracts and getting AI surveilance cameras out of their city and allowing the people to "get a breath of fresh air without us knowing".
There is still hope and still good in people realizing this is transforming the nation into another CCP or N Korea state. The trial for the Instutite for Justice v. City of Norfolk Va is imminent. There is a way out of this hell.

The primary function is to differentiate products so you buy more. The only reason is does anything is because users demand it. If they could sell you a brick, they would. Only open source software is real, and it's horrible.

I have found the names and addresses of youtubers near me by looking at their videos. One of them pointed their camera out of their garage when the door was open, i got a glimpse of the street, a stop sight, a newly planted tree, and the general curvature of the road. Since i knew he lived near me based on the roads he drove in previous videos, and i knew his house was newer, i was able to track down the newest sub divisions in my local area and look for that pattern of street, stop sign, and newly planted tree in the neighbors yard. After double and triple checking for features common in the 2 different perspectives, garage facing out, and ariel looking down, i had a 100% match. I later confirmed this by driving by and verifying the vehicles parked in his driveway (they were the same as the ones he filmed in his channel).

Dont post stuff on the internet at all if you don't want bored autists to find out about you.

Yes and YES.

>VP8 webm ~ 3 MB
I have shit netbook and vp9 is tooo slow on my machine, but I assume doing two pass would reduce the size even further.
And btw you can use ffmpeg to extract the frames one by one.
Or actually use mpv as manga viewer.

For various reasons, this meant I can host most lots of manga with low resources and with some custom JS player, I can serve manga directly as webm.
This made several cartels not happy, since it can "steal" traffic because each manga page is served on it's own url page, and that meant less revenue from ads.
Also some puritans claimed started arguing about about using VP8 as lossy format compared to lossless PNG, which is weird since 90% were using lossy PNG or lossy JPG when serving the releases, with the exception of actual scanlators groups.
And finally, some NPCs couldn't handle the fact using video format to read their mongolian black and white doujins.
Honestly I don't care anymore, the old 4chan is long dead, most of the posts here are AI bots talking to each other the rest is NPC larping as oldfags.
>Jannies didn't like it
The threads would get deleted, because technically it made posting entire manga volumes much much easier, that was during the peak DMCA scare.
>>
>>107741463
VP9 even supports lossless, but efficiency is significantly worse than PNG for black and white content like manga
