any higher end pascal card was just an objectively good purchase, 1070/1080 or their ti variants
the hd 7970 and its subsequent generations were great for a while
the 750ti, hands down, probably the most popular gpu of all time, just good value, capable, well supported
and going even older, geforce 6600 gt, 1gb 8800 gt and the hd 4870
all great options, if you bought any of them new in their prime they were long life, great value products

even buying them used, getting a used 1080 is still a fantastic choice now for regular use

The lines called "On Axis" and "Listening Window" should be close to flat, here they're far from it, with bass (up to ~250 Hz) and lower midrange (up to ~500 Hz) a lot lower than the rest of the response, meaning there's too little of it, and the rest is also quite uneven.
"Early Reflections", "Predicted In-Room Response" and "Sound Power" should tilt downwards continuously towards the higher frequencies, here they do not.
"Early Reflections Directivity Index" and "Sound Power Directivity Index" should tilt upwards continuously towards the higher frequencies, here they do not.
As a point of reference, pic related is what a good measurement would look like (predicted in-room response not shown).
If you want to learn what the lines actually mean, read https://www.audioholics.com/loudspeaker-design/understanding-loudspeaker-measurements or even better, the book "Sound Reproduction" by Toole (can be found on Anna's Archive). If you'd rather watch a video, watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYdhkNcV7Zk&list=PLnIxFR_ey0b37Ex4KV2mBz-kYB7QLffR1&index=10 and the following few videos in that playlist.

ye olde request
im in the US, i have $400 id spend on this, i currently have original moondrop starfields and a fiio ka3 plugged into a macbook
i want over ear headphones with a less critical listening, more casual listening sound signature, i would prefer that more bass supporting sound
but the issue there is that i also really like the look of open back headphones but obviously you kinda lose some sub bass capability with open backs, i listen to some stuff that gets absurdly low

should i go for open back and just kinda sacrifice the real sub bass-y stuff and relegate that to my speakers + subwoofer or go with something closed back to try and replicate that as close as possible?

Yeah this is why USA govt forced the chinks to give censorship control to USA kikes, vid rel is clip from Chinese news laying it out before the sell-off happened

There was the whole TikTok debacle where they wouldn't censor it for the jews, it was the only massive social media that wasn't in direct kike censorship.

The thing is that the jewish atrocities in gaza were being spread there, and not only that but people saw kikes there laughing about the dead and starving children and their bombed out homes and schools.
Then there was chuds putting out little redpills like this which were spreading fast too

History of ADL
>https://files.catbox.moe/fdiz2d.webm

The kikes were absolutely panicking at the point, TikTok was redpilling normies at lightning speed and they couldn't do anything about it.
They tried to put pressure on the chinks but they just wouldn't censor their service for the kikes

Leaked audio from Jonathan Greenblatt of ADL kvetching about TikTok

Their only hope was to get their best shabbos, Trump, elected so he would force TikTok under jewish censorship and submit to antisemitism audit.
In just a few months people already forgot that it had even happened.
The mass media frenzy about Trump banning TikTok.

When the jews finally got their man as president, it took less than a week. Trump gave them the ultimatum that they're either going to be banned or they hand over the censorship to the jews.
Chinks ultimately budged, wanting to keep the profits instead.

So now, if you write so much as "free palestine" in a comment, it gets tagged as "hate speech".
All the material all reality that could show jews in bad light was scrubbed from the platform.
And because today people's attention spans are so short, it took maybe two weeks and people already forgot that TikTok was even supposed to be banned, when all of it got swept under a rug and the jewish media stopped talking about TikTok.

It seems that attention spans today are so short that people barely even remember that this happened and huge of a deal the "we will ban TikTok" media frenzy was

Yeah sometimes that happens, I mean if we'd revert to historical lands then all the non injun people would need to gtfo from americas, all the niggers removed from literally everywhere except africa, all the jews, arabs, turkics need to btfo from Anatolia and Levant, give it back to the greeks whom it belongs to, and go back to the arabian peninsula, not to mention that in some cases it isnt even possible to give land back to its original owner like the pharaoh age Egyptians haven't existed in thousands of years because the invading arabs genocided them, or the hundreds of different nigger races that used to exist in Africa before the Bantuniggers killed almost all of them during the Bantu expansion

I'm not claiming that Hitler wouldn't have taken some Lebensraum from the USSR kikes in addition to just taking the German lands back, that possibly would have happened
Whether thats something unusually evil that no leader has ever done before in history, I disagree with
And when it comes to what Hitler considered Aryan, unlike the jewish narrative goes, the Slavs were considered East-Baltic and were considered Aryan in their official race classification so the bullshit that jews say that "hitler wanted to exterminate all slavs" is simply just that, jewish horseshit.
In fact, lets say Hitler did capture some land from the USSR and the people living there had choice to evacuate to further USSR or stay in the Reich, they'd absolutely had better future in the Reich unlike the USSR where millions of them in Eastern Europe where starved to death if not straight up exterminated/gulag'd for anti-semitism or other "counter revolutionary" thought crimes

But that is a discussion better suited for /pol/, you'll find rebuttals to all of your jewish pilpul there

I noticed it being kinda slow while testing in an emacs -q session just now, when I have more time I'll have to check if this was just network lag or if the new text parser needs to be reworked.

But before I write any new code I'll set up a repo on gitgud.

the common workflow for org-roam is simply the zettelkasten method of note-taking. this is a pretty good presentation of this method
https://emacsconf.org/2025/talks/zettelkasten/
he uses denote but the concepts are the same for any package you choose.

for org-roam specifically, you should modify org-roam-capture-templates to accommodate the different types of notes you'll be taking. and you should also use filetags in the header of each note, that way it's a lot easier to group notes that share the same subjects without necessarily being linked

Reading 4chan in org-mode is more comfortable than reading it in a web browser. It's easier to share code in org-mode too.

Ever used this? I plan on using it for lessening the verbosity of some SQL constructs (such as an immutable column macro that generates the necessary functions/triggers).
https://www.slideserve.com/sheryl/m4-macro-processing-language
Are there better modern alternatives (maybe something that is Lispy in nature)?

BTW: the new thread captcha is far more cursed than the new post one. Also, because the thread form details are cleared, humans must re-select everything manually upon failure, incredibly fucking annoying.

This. I've used it for all kinds of one-off languages and things where I wanted to simply add macro capability by didn't want to write 1000's more lines into the parser-generator.

nowadays, I tend to use the C pre-processor a lot more-- something else that works on nearly anything. It can even make "golang" usable.
The original bourne shell was written in BCPL and used #defines to turn his BCPL into C code because he couldn't figure out C.

I'm basically describing every part of the image, subjects hair, clothes, body, image style etc I'm at around 230 words right now. Is there a better way of doing this?
